This is actually the LEAST famous interpretation. Most fans agree that Variations On A Cloud is the only song that has to do with 9/11 and that the album tells a completely separate story set in the 60s about a man with schizoprenia and/or ptsd who goes insane and kills his wife
I really like your theories. And Im glad you enjoyed the album. Its has such wide variety of themes and genres, probably my favorite part about it is how it leaves room for a lot of interpretations.
I really want to see Hawii Part II become some sort of live musical some day, I'd pay more than I did to see Hamilton just to see it! It possibly won't be possible, but it would be cool to see:)
I love the many different ways that this album can be interpreted, i don't really like your theory all that much but it's really cool that you could find a way to see the story like this even if i don't agree
I love the sudden break to listen to the Alvin and the Chipmunks. This was such a crazy and cool analysis, even if I feel like it's a lot of grasping at straws and over analyzing. But it's so cool that Hawaii: Part II is so filled with story and mystery that something like this video can be made. I think this is by far the best attempt to explain both the confirmed 9/11 themes in the album while also not forgetting the very obvious love story in the album.
Funnily enough, this is actually the LEAST famous interpretation. Most fans agree that Variations On A Cloud is the only song that has to do with 9/11 and that the album tells a completely separate story set in the 60s about a man with schizoprenia and/or ptsd who goes insane and kills his wife
If you were going to do another Tally Hall video or just want to listen to more of their music. I would suggest either Sketches 3D by Edu (the name Andrew released music under) or Cojum Dip by Cojum Dip (Bora’s band). While there is anything made by a member of Tally Hall that lives up to the greatness of MMMM, G&E, or Hawaii pt. II imo, those are my favorite post TH projects. Sketches 3D is a great relaxing album despite its slightly disturbing production. Andrew described it best as intimate and I wholeheartedly agree. The song Hummingbird is one of my favorite songs of all time and has really helped me deal with things like anxiety. Cojum Dip is a surprisingly great fusion of Metal and Jazz. The biggest fault of the album is that the music is definitely meant to be seen performed live so listening to a recorded version of it is really only half of the experience. Best song from it is called Moon Waltz. As for the other two post TH projects, Joe Hawley Joe Hawley by Joe Hawley definitely has some highlights but the rapping isn’t the best and it has one or two songs that I would straight up call mid or just bad. The use of sampling is very unique though and it’s for sure worth a listen. Rob Cantor’s Not a Trampoline has its fans and I will say that I do always enjoy it more while I’m listening but it’s just good. Production wise, you can tell that it was an album made in the 2010s and not always in the best ways. Definitely worth a try though.
here’s the correct pronunciations Joe= Joe Hall E Rob= Rob Cantour Zubin= ZooBin saidGee Ross= Ross Fed er men Andrew= &rew Horr oh witz Bora= Bore uh Car Rah Juh (I think that’s correct, idk bc I’ve always pronounce it Kuh rock uh so..) Hey! I love this theory and it makes so much sense, but I prefer the “other” theory. I know I’m just one guy, but I would love to hear your opinion on the other theory about the album. I won’t spoil too much but the other theory suggests that it isn’t about 9/11 and has a bit more story to it.
"then fell below" i think this line means the half of the tower falling down and killing them as you said and in the song mind electric when the song was reversed you can hear a really muffled talking and that refers to the coma you said the talking is at the 16th second
i love how many possible theory that can be made on this album, i mean, i wasn't expected for a theory about 9/11 to make sense but i guess i was wrong

I think this theory is awesome! I have my little own theory, so if you wanna see it. Click read more Simon and his girlfriend were doing normal until murders, Simon and his girlfriend were in the forest, and the figure murders his girlfriend. In space station level seven, this is his girlfriend going to heaven. Next is my personal favorite, Mind Electric. This takes place when the police show up to the crime scene and think Simon caused the murder, they send him in to shock therapy, leading to the last quarter of the song. Also, I think that the first half of his song is his mind filled with grief, so he can’t think straight. Labyrinth is a special case, he is in a dream, and trying to escape the prison he is in. And when he sees his lover, he wakes up. Leading to Time Machine, I think this is him breaking out of this prison and when he escapes, it leads to the outro, just like mind electric his mind is fogged up and he can’t think straight. On Stranded Lullaby, I think this would be him in a boat, escaping to a far away place, and he looks up to his lover being alone in heaven, and the voice is him being sleep deprived and tired from the shock therapy, the next track his him just at sea with him thinking it is all his thought. Bringing us to the last track, the boat sinks in and he goes to heaven, reuniting with his lover.
I personally am not too big of a fan of Hawaii part II, I don't know why, I love the og 2 tally hall albums, but I guess I like music that's nice to my ears, ya know, nothing against anyone who worked on it, but it's just not my cup of tea, ya know =/
