“Hey whats up guys … welcome back to project volt. We have an 8 channel wireless NVR kit today. Let’s get into it shall we?”
“There are many individual boxes, for each of the 8 IP cameras. Here we have the NVR box, it comes with built-in antennas. The VGA port, the HDMI port, Ethernet port, USB port, the 12 volt power input and also the grounding connection. It comes with an ethernet cable for IP camera configuration and connecting the NVR to the internet. Here we have the IP camera, it has three super bright Infra-Red LEDS. The power jack and the Ethernet port. The antenna and a weatherproof cover for the Ethernet port. There are seven more IP cameras of the same model. This contains the 12 volt power adapters for the 8 IP cameras. Here is the power adapter for the NVR, the USB mouse and mounting screws. Lets insert a Hard Disk to the NVR so that it can save the camera footage. We need to remove the four screws holding the cover in place. Now we connect the cables to the designated slots in the Hard Disk. We line up the Hard Disk and hold it down with screws. It is recommended you use 4 screws, but I use 2 for demonstration purposes. We place the cover back and tighten it down with the screws”
“Lets power on the NVR system. The necessary connections need to be made in order for it to operate successfully. Since I use the HDMI port, I do not need to connect to the VGA. We will then format the Hard Disk to make room for new recordings. It also has the function of auto overwriting old recordings. The 5GB shown here is what is been reserved by the NVR”
“Lets connect the IP Cam to the NVR. We need to plug in the power adapter to the camera. We also need to connect the IP Cam to the NVR by Ethernet in order to establish connection. After successfully connection, we can disconnect the Ethernet cable. After the camera is detected, it can be saved to the NVR by selecting the MATCH CODE button”
“Lets test out the recording and playback functions. There are various other setting to control the NVR. As you can see the usage of the Hard Disk has increased since we recorded a video from the camera. It also supports external sensors”
“Configuring the connection to the internet will be covered in a later video so remember to subscribe”
