Dear Tara, I have been thinking a lot about this video for the past three weeks and have started to read up on your recommended books by Polanyi. I am very inspired by this view of knowledge and recently came across some literature on indigenous knowledge. I wanted to ask if you had made any videos yet on the different kinds of knowledge that exist inside and outside academia? I know you have something on epistemology (which was amazing and thank you for those videos). Thank you.

Hi Tara, this Post was well worth the wait. I will definitely purchase the two Polanyi books you held up. They seem so vital to our lives. I wonder how many people have been encouraged to buy books after watching your vlogs? That would be an interesting metric to see! I know that I decided to buy Theoretical Times by Steve after it was aired on your platform. As a social scientist I was immensely glad that Polanyi held the social so high. I am disappointed that universities are distancing themselves from the fundamental sciences. It very much resembles the Australian government and their push for everyone to undertake STEM subjects, which is ridiculous. Only some people are interested/capable of doing STEM. But that is another matter. Catch you next week. cheers, doug
