    I really like the closeups of the pelican. It really emphasizes just how unique they are and gives us a personal look at an otherwise hard to see bird (at least here in the desert where I live lol)

    This pelican with its face tucked in towards its neck looks exactly like my dog giving people the sad puppy look... literally the cutest thing I've ever seen, bless this video

    A small favour- could you include metric values in brackets in the subtitles? I mean it's not a big deal for us to check how much is 3 gallons or 40 feet, but would be nice to have it here :P Big thanks from Europe :)

    Ahh, I remember when I was photographing a garter snake at pretty much the same place, a pelican dived for something, and we got it in the photo. Those were good times

    Thx for this video. I love to watch pelicans here at Galveston. They are great soaring birds flying thermals & ridge lift fm. the bldgs along the shore, seldom flapping their wings. I used to fly ridge lift when I was in a glider club yrs. ago, so I admire their mastery of the art of soaring & gliding. Excellent video.

    Never seen pelicans dive, but they sure are a sight to see here in the Bay Area. It's surprising how large they are, and seeing them fly in small flocks is so cool!

    Isn't it extraordinary, that not only do these highly contextually sensitive adaptions occur at all, but that the relevant BEHAVIOUR in the creature also arises. Blows my mind a little. Like you mention about the young ones learning, but somewhere in the past, there had to be a period of simply knowing.

    the cinematography on this video is amazing. I don't know how Deep Look manages to keep up such amazing quality, video after video, without ever getting dull. One of the best channels on RUclips, if you ask me.

    Do you guys intend on expanding your content? Don't get me wrong, your show is the best show on RUclips, but I'd love to watch you guys talk about something like maybe the human body, or climate change or even space stuff. Whatever it is, I'll still love your content.

      K-Q-E-D are the 'call letters' for our radio station - we are a public broadcasting (PBS) media company in San Francisco, CA, that serves Northern California with radio, television, web and other community programs. 'QED' comes from latin, 'quod erat demonstrandum."

    Wonderful film. This really is an excellent channel.
    Being British, (Scottish) I was lucky enough to watch a lifetime of David Attenborough programmes so the bar sits pretty high for me, but Deep Look really delivers.
    A pelican is a bird I'd love to see, but this will have to do for now.

    I’ll never forget the day I saw a brown pelican on top of a bathroom while I was at summer camp in elementary school. It flew away majestically.

    They are basically as same as during dinosaur age. Which means that they are very good at surviving asteroids :-)
    The beak of the pelicans could be a good shape for aircraft and trains too.

    I live in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, in México, but I'm from Tennessee, when we went to the beach we saw all these pelicans diving to hunt fish, one was so close to me he splashed water on me! It was an awesome experience, one that I would never forget
