    I had this guy and this video bookmarked for like a year. Been meaning to get around to painting him but didn't feel up to it. Then my nephew dared me by saying "I'll paint my old one eye if you paint your void dragon". Your video really helped. All the corax white was annoying but damn it looked good once the tesseract glow was added.

    Another winner! - little tip I use on the warp lightening is to do some selective edge hights on it with Flash Gitz yellow...it really gives it a nice pop of contrast against the stark tesseract glow color

    Im glad you made this. I have a plan to paint mine and looks like you followed exactly what i planned on doing. I think im goint to add morenecron compound after the akhelian green on the body and maybe some thined down stormhost silver. also for the lightning im going to layer it more on top of the teseract glow with some warp lightning contrast. Still depating if i want to do the green for the tail and similar weapons with necrons or stick with silver and incorporate some green into them.

    Another superb video sir! After finishing my very first set of grey knight paladins, and starting off shockingly after using my washes for the first time in a very haphazard way leaving my first guy a smeary blue mess 😃, I actually ended up finishing the other 4 guys rather well if I do say so myself! And that is down to your wet palette video mate, and thinning paints....I used these guys to pratice getting used to my vellejo game color set, I know now how to use them thanks to you!

    With my necron army ive decided to use blues instead of greens and yellows.
    I have frost heart, thousand sons, asurmen blue, talassar blue, kantor blue and ahriman blue. Would you recommend any other blues or maybe some purples as purple is the opposite colour of yellow?

    • @ThePaintingCoach

    When I try to use nuln oil to define the muscle on my nightbringer, I found it became streaky and you could clearly see where it was applied and where it wasn't, how'd you get the transitions to be so smooth?

    • @ThePaintingCoach
      @ThePaintingCoach  9 месяцев назад

      You could try thinning it with some contrast medium 🤔
      Or use a clean damp brush to smooth any transitions while it is still wet on the model

    I'm still fairly new to the hobby, I sprayed my void dragon with chaos black like the whole modle. Am I okay to go back over it with a leadbelcher primer on the body and other silver spots or should I just paint it with leadbelcher?

    • @ThePaintingCoach
      @ThePaintingCoach  3 года назад

      That tends to be what I do- just make sure they are light coats - i wouldn't buy a can especially tho so if you have the pot od leadbelcher just put down anxouolenod thin layers

    • @ThePaintingCoach

      Glad you like it - I'm not sure but recently I painted some purple glass - so paint it corax white, then cover it in luxion purple contrast paint. Add a second coat where you want some darker shades. Then mix in a bright white paint with the luxion purple and use this to highlight along the edges, adding more white paint for broghter highlights. Hope that helps!
