Because of your videos my agp is the cleanest end bluest of all my brothers and people I know. Everybody has their own opinions and their pools are green. I'll stick with what works. Thanks.

When your pool is really green and you have to backwash several times a day, are you looking for clear water to come out still or will it just stay green regardless because the pool is green? I know how to get it back to blue. I just wasn’t sure about the backwashing part.

The idea is to shock the pool and get all the green out to the point where your pool is cloudy. That's when you start backwashing once a day.

also i have my sand filter system in a mini shed so if i ever floc my pool and have to use the waste setting where will this water exit? in the shed or from a pipe out in the lawn?

+Junior Sniper it will come out the same place as the backwash.

Junior Sniper check with your city you can discharge it into the sanitary sewer of your home just locate the closest clean out plug to your filter pad then open the cap insert the hose/ pipe into the opening

Has anyone experienced a Bestway sand filter case splitting at the bottom? We fitted it in July 2024, it now has a 1 inch split on the bottom curve and no, we haven’t dropped it at any stage. Anyone have any idea how we can repair it ? We lost at least a lot of water.

I'm trying to figure out why if my sand filter is on recirculate it primes and stays primed.... But if I put it in filter it will slowly lose prime .... It's driving me crazy

When i backwash, I do just like you say in video, however when i return to filter and turn pump on i still get some trash/debris come out of the filter back into the pool. Any ideas what might be wrong?

+Tommy Jarrett you're probably not leaving it on the rinse cycle for a long enough. I recommend about 15 seconds.

Above Ground Pros I can rinse for a whole minute and still happens....changed sand and laterals look good

+Tommy Jarrett Huh...seems quite out of the box. Be tough to say without seeing it. You may want a pool guy to come by and put his eyes on it.

What’s better sand or cartridge what’s the cost difference

    • @abovegroundpros

I personally prefer the sand filter because it is much simpler maintenance. The cost between the two about the same
