Great video reminding me of the fantastic trip we made so many years ago. Thanks also for the image of plaque we left as BCIT students doing this hike 52 years ago when there was no trail. Len Metcalfe.
This has to be the most descriptive, informative trip report video of Robie Reid that I’ve ever seen! Very good beta for a trail that is not always easy to find. Good work!
Nice to see you are fully utilize 360 camera for complete video. Best usage of this kind of cam I have seen so far. I am also enjoying your stories while running on treadmill. 👌👍
Great video!! Love the edits and music. Thought you were being sarcastic when you said it was going to be 30 degrees and hot & remembered you guys are Celsius. Ha ha.
Thanks for the vicarious hike and 'scramble', a new word for me. My second hike with you. I get to see parts of my home town area I'd normally only experience from the air. Also, much enjoyed the graphics and editing... enjoy the coffee.
Amazing video, just climbed golden ears last summer, looking into conquering this beast sometimes early September. This info helped a lot! Happy hiking!
Have watched this video multiple times as I have been planning this trip for the past few years. (have yet to find someone comfortable to take it on with me..) but thank you for this as I have had to piece together various data from others, sites, etc. love your commentary. Hope to summit this year toward end of September if possible or the next.
Did you climb 2000 meters up? That mountain looks really cool. I think the record for a mountain run here in Norway is 1800 meters, 8 km, in 1 hour and 8 mins. We norwegians love our mountain hiking ;).
I only have the original guide from 2005 and it wasn't listed in there. It may be in a subsequent edition but I'm unaware of that if it is the case or not.
Fantastic video and commentating Gary. Thanks very much for all the effort. Would you mind giving me your opinion on if the hiking portion from your car to the tarn, is doable by a totally average hiker? Just that part, not the climb past the tarn. Thank you.
Gary, I'm getting vertigo watching this. I'm a layman with this self filming stuff.... Is it a drone/self cam? you plus another plus drone?? im so curious!
Looks like James beat me to it 😆 thanks James! It's called the Insta360 One X and works as James says it does. This was a solo mission and the footage it creates is quite cool, at least in my humble opinion 😊
Hi Gary, great content! Do you know a company or someone (maybe you will do it in the future) that offers like a small group guided hike on those more advanced trails? I’m new in Canada (friends and wife not really keen on steep hikes) and I usually hike alone so I wouldn’t go to that area by myself but I’d totally pay someone to guide. Let me know if you know that company/person. Thanks!

Wow, very cool and quite the accomplishment without a trail! Literal trailblazers.
Good stuff, Mr. Robbins. First class adventure.
This has to be the most descriptive, informative trip report video of Robie Reid that I’ve ever seen! Very good beta for a trail that is not always easy to find. Good work!
Thanks man! Glad you like it and nice to meet you out there on the day!
Killing it with the graphics Gary!
Thanks! I have my friend Steve Fassezke to thank for that 👍

Nice one. Will be picking your brain on this route some day for sure. And nice editing Steve!
Hey Wing! I think we need to tackle this in 2021. Looks too good to pass up. Scramble bros!
Amazing editing by Steve!
Excellent content, the editing is superb.
Wow haven’t been up there since you needed a canoe! That’s awesome
You live in a ridiculously beautiful place!
Enjoyed that one Gary 👍
Excellent as always, Gary for the 'on air' talent and Steve F for the editing & graphics :-D Thanks for feeding my "mountain porn" addiction!
😆👍👍
Great video you should do more like these.
Great video!! Love the edits and music. Thought you were being sarcastic when you said it was going to be 30 degrees and hot & remembered you guys are Celsius. Ha ha.
30deg....lol from Queensland, Australia. So jealous of the gorgeous mountain though and lack of snakes!
😆

Nice editing work Gary!
I've got my friend Steve Fassezke to thank for his mad editing skills!

Incredible, Gary! You scare and make me laugh at the same time ;)
🤣
Awesome "run"! Great views
Awesome Video! Love that trip!
Excellent company for a treadmill tempo run I had to squeeze in
Awesome video with beautiful scenery!
Great video, awesome editing! 👍🏻👍🏻
Editing is all thanks to my friend Steve Fassezke 😊👍
Gary this was awesome! please do more videos like this! Makes me miss peak bagging in the lower mainland
Breathtaking footage Gary, it had me nervous for you at times near the peak!
Gary Robie Reid Robbins, way to go 😊
That's some view! And scary 😅 And here I thought I'd cured my fear of heights...
Amazing video, just climbed golden ears last summer, looking into conquering this beast sometimes early September. This info helped a lot! Happy hiking!

Added this one to my list now
Worddd, great video!
Top-notch production on this. Lovin' the content!
Awesome! Thanks, Gary!
Amazing. Thanks for taking the struggle bus, so we don't have to!
😆🙌

Great editor!
Steve Fassezke is to thank, and he did an incredible job for sure! Thanks :)
Great video buddy
Thanks man! Hope you're well my friend!
Another yellow gate. I tremble.
Hahahahah I noticed that too. Two of 'em!
Excellent video my friend. Love some of your pics. Are you from Mission?
Thanks Gary. Looks like a hike I would enjoy. How's the map/route described in that book "Scrambles" compare to the route you did?
I only have the original guide from 2005 and it wasn't listed in there. It may be in a subsequent edition but I'm unaware of that if it is the case or not.
Enjoy a coffee 😄😄
😆

Hi man! I’m from Malaysia. Can you share your vlog setup? Did you use external mic for your insta360?
Gary, I'm getting vertigo watching this. I'm a layman with this self filming stuff.... Is it a drone/self cam? you plus another plus drone?? im so curious!
It’s a 360° camera on a stick. The software is clever enough to remove the stick from the footage. You can see the shadow of it at 11:00.
Looks like James beat me to it 😆 thanks James! It's called the Insta360 One X and works as James says it does. This was a solo mission and the footage it creates is quite cool, at least in my humble opinion 😊
Afraid of heights but for some reason enjoy your videos. Great editing by the way.
A random question: what kind of shoes do you wear?
you were kind of trailrunnung, not just hiking. What was your average pace, including the breaks?
Hi Gary! Great adventure. What kind of selfie stick and camera are you using in this video?
Insta360 one x
Some shots look scary! As if your were gong to fall off the side there. Yikes!
Some exposure, but nothing too sketchy, save for the bits I didn't film 😳
I can see this mountain from Ladner BC.

I would reach out to Waddington Outdoors here in Chilliwack 👍
Gary are you using a Mic with your camera? Your audio is so clear!!
Get that coffee Gary!
😆🙌
Shout out to the smoke monster!
😆 I know right 🤣
Did he go back to pick up the lunch bag?
It was a stuff sack to protect food from animals, and he did of course take all his camp down with him 👍
I thoroughly enjoyed this vicarious adventure and the video quality. Great editing!...Do you do your own?
I barely know how to turn the camera on and off 😆 My buddy Steve Fassezke did the full edit and absolutely knocked it outta the park!
I added about a cent to your coffee I watched you on the Barkley RUclips are getting a bargain 🙄
😆👍👍
☕️✌️
