My grandma grew up during the depression era, so she would stock up on candy and pop and wouldn’t let us leave her house without it, because when she was a kid it was a huge treat and she saw it as the same for us.

I’m gonna tell on myself here. I worked at a bar in a plaza and our back door lead out to the dumpsters behind the building. I used to pick through the dumpsters behind Burlington Coat Factory. I furnished my whole home with marred items that were easily mended. Like repainting a side table because the paint was chipped on it. You’d never know my house is full of salvaged items from a dumpster 💰

Fun fact: dish washers are better because it uses 1 full sink of water or less for dishes but when your cleaning dishes in a sink you usually use more water like 2 or more sink fulls of water to do dishes by hand.

I remember in the early 2000's, my father told me if he were to invest in any kind of stock it would be in toilet paper companies. I am convinced he could see into the future.. How right he was about that being a smart investment. I always brought it up and thought it was so silly!
However, she is actually washing very properly on that porcelain throne. My logic is, if you have to wipe more than 4 times, just take a shower.. which is essentially what she does right there on the toilet. I would still just shower if I needed to wash.
