@@Devinity08 its all relative. I would find it hard because I hate maths and that is what an accountant does for the most part. But if you enjoy numbers and can do it fairly easily, you won't find it so hard. That being said becoming a chartered accountant is another level and that is hard. 😂
I work in public accounting 😂 I do adminsitrative work and controllership (bookkeeping) 3 of my coworkers live with their parents, don't pay rent, and their parents still pay for and make them food.
Oompa, you're quite possibly the ONLY RUclipsr who genuinely cares about TLC's used and discarded people.

Kate looks like a very neat person,I can tell just by looking at her perfect teeth and hair ,her skin is pretty smooth without any acne,the way they portrayed her in tlc is completely different compared to who she actually is.

Having acne does not mean you aren't neat, acne has many causes and it's mostly genetic, hormonal, fungal etc... What you are saying is prejudiced and just wrong.

Honestly shows that are presented as factual and turn out to be exaggerated or flat out lies should be completely illegal. Especially when they're showing someone in a negative light and they've signed an NDA so they can't even speak out about it.
The whole concept of an NDA that stops people from telling the truth or defending their self esteem is evil.

I hate what they did to Kate. She's so sweet. Also, there are a lot of people that don't use toilet paper. Zero waste people use water and washable clothes. I'm sure off grid people do thing differently as well. They're probably cleaner than most people. "Using toilet paper" is not synonymous with clean. Just like the showering debate. Just because you don't take a shower everyday, doesn't mean you don't clean your body everyday.

@@kiwik2951 yes and no. TLC & other reality TV are notorious for their manipulation during editing. I assume when someone shares with the world they are hoping to get in touch with like-minded people. I can’t imagine anyone going on these shows thinking “I am going to be humiliated”.
My mom was offered to be on an episode of "World's Dumbest Drivers" after catching some felon on her way to work. The producers demanded that she say the tagline "blurgh yep this is definitely the world's dumbest driver" but she insisted that she has seen much worse drivers. The episode was still aired but my mom didn't get much screen time. She said they even cut up her sentences to frame her words in a more harsh manner

i think with the whole not wiping her behind thing, its pretty popular in a lot of eastern cultures to not do that. She uses soap and water to clean herself which is honestly probably cleaner and more environmentally friendly than using toilet paper. Also, ive heard she was legitately poor. Like owning property in ny is expensive, she literally couldnt afford to be less cheap, and then income tlc trying to make her look bad for just doing her best to get by. Altho i have never washed my clothes in the shower or pretended to be homeless to get money, i have stolen discarded food and furniture before. Its rlly not that unheard of for ppl struggling financially to do so. a lot of them ppl on extreme cheapskates r rich ppl that are cheap for no reason, but with kate, i really think they took advantage of her situation.
I enjoy the thought that this video’s intro was planned and possibly rehearsed.
Unless of course that’s just what Caleb does on the regular, which may be quite the possibility as well.

It was in fact 100% a lie. It’s not “scripted” but they do suggest things. TLC even brought props when they filmed at our location.
I love how no one really notices when in the scene where Kate is yk like showing how she cleans her self after using the bathroom that LITERALLY in the like left corner you see that there is a roll of toilet paper there and TLC kept it in the video which is literally hilarious and no one really notices it either but obviously that scene looks pretty fake like even Kate looked a little uncomfortable doing it but still there's toilet paper right there which just proves again that most of the show is kinda fake and TLC just exaggerates things 😭

The soap and water thing can also be cultural as I am Filipino and we do that as well instead of using toilet paper sometimes. Some people just judge before they can educate themselves. :)

Here in southeast asia, most of us don't use toilet papers at home after we took a dump. Either a bidet or a hand is enough. And it's not gross because we wash our hands after.

Kate is literally so beautiful, I've thought that since the second I saw her TLC episode. She's a natural beauty. I wish cruel people like her mom would shut tf up, they have no right to hurt others just because they're unhappy with themselves.

My great grandparents lived through the second world war and the following economic crisis in Austria, so they had an extremely hard life. They never really stopped hoarding food and other necessities. With us kids they were never frugal, but everything pertaining them was rationed. I guess the difficult times during their first 20-30 years shaped them for life.
Anyway, they each had a washcloth for them to wipe and didn't use any toilet paper. They'd wash them after every use and changed them frequently. When I was I kid I found this pretty disgusting, but when I grew up I realized, that there's many different ways to clean yourself.
In many parts of the world people use water instead of toilet paper (kind of like she shows in the video with the bottle) and plenty of doctors say that it is as if not more effective at cleaning the area.
We are so accustomed to our way of life that we often fail to see different paths.
But obviously I do not condone reusing toilet paper.
