- Jose Butto and Dedniel Nunez have formed a kinship with the big club and it showed on Saturday in a stellar performance out of the Mets bullpen for a 7-3 win. They allowed just one hit and struck out eight batters over the last 4.2 innings. Butto talked about continuing to attack the hitters and throwing strikes. For Nunez, he felt "blessed" to get his first major league save with his family in attendance.

Jose Butto has really developed into a fine pitcher from an unheralded prospect. He has the ability to start but he has really helped to solidify our shaky bullpen. The importance of this cannot be overstated. He has been a huge boost to the bullpen which is our inly really weakness.
