@@r.ccustomtruckingsydneyaus4632 I had about the same feeling after my first listen but I rewatched the video and it's really great. The music while they rap is great and the lyrics are as well. Great beat and great tone.
But the highlights are really the softer parts when the dude with the cap is singing.

This isn't good hip hop and hip hop is not new. I like your spirit though. Look up Joelistics cover of Heavy Heart by You Am I for a good hip hop cover. He uses the lyrics and plays with them. If you want some good hip hop with a bit more of a sound you can relate to let me know. I got plenty.

I was driving out in the Dandenong rainforest area to this cover this morning. While I was swerving around corners on narrow roads surrounded by hundreds of trees blocking out the sun, I felt like I was almost in a dream with time slowing to this man's beautiful vocals. Such an incredible version of a classic.

We have listened to this so much in out house that when my kids heard the original for the first time in the car the other day they were like who is this lady ripping off TripleOne.
these Basterds came and left absolutely everything they had on the table that little dude imperfect cadence is just perfect I can't help tearing up every time I hear this
TripleJ like a versions have been my favorites for many years now. Going back over a decade. I swear some of the covers, are better than the original as they are interpreted in a different way and or expressed in a way that is more emotional as the artists who are covering the song are relating themselves and releasing emotion.
This... is a great example I believe.

I've loved triple one for quite a few years, it's been a while and I've came to check out "newer" stuff from them. And WOW, I didn't know what to expect, this is AMAZING, just heard it for first time and it deserves instant replay, gonna stay on replay for a bit here 😊
After a couple of listens to this I'm really impressed with the lead guitarist. He's playing with restraint I'm not a guitarist but that guy played with a really nice touch and tone.
