I just did this not too long ago with a different company! We ended up having the most amazing adventure in Switzerland but honestly the best part was the buildup to it without knowing where we were going. We had so much adrenaline on our way to the airport! Have the best time in Taipei!! It’s so cool there!
We love Taiwan! I find it weird that hardly any Australians know anything about Taiwan or go there. Whenever we tell people we are going to Taiwan they say where Thailand? What an adventure! I did this once with Jet Blue. They booked me on a trip to one of their routes and then I got to help volunteer on the ground once I arrived. It was so fun to be surprised with a trip to the Dominican Republic! And even more exciting finding out at the airport!
I was “Made in Taiwan”(more specifically Taipei, near the famous Taipei 101 high rise building) And my dad was raised in Kaohsiung after immigrating from mainland China. And we have family living there now and in Taipei. Lots of culture to see and scenic views and awesome foods. Try Juan bing for breakfast. oyster omelette later in the day. Lots of streets markets to explore. Enjoy! Looking onward to your other upcoming vlogs as you experience a bit Taiwan! Definitely a country you can plan to go back and more cities later also. Very inexpensive compared to Luther countries to live and eat.

I tentatively guessed Vietnam, so not too far away lol. Taiwan imo is actually a really great place to visit. Wasn't much on my radar when I visited with my parents, but it's awesome. The scenery, nature, friendly people, modern cities, traditional culture including aboriginal culture, and of course the food. It should be better known outside Asia. I think you'll really enjoy yourselves. Later that same year (2012) I went to Sri Lanka, another amazing island I highly recommend to people. Look forward to seeing what you get up to!

You definitely need to visit the east coast,spend two nights in Hualien and take a day trip to Taroko Gorge National Park. Visit jiufen old street if you take a train from Hualien to Taipei. Try delicious street food at night markets

My rugby team do this every year in April! Two of the club members organise a 4 day rugby tour to a destination in Europe and they announce where we're going at the airport. It's so much fun! Last year was Warsaw ✈️😁
Try this challenge: Go to the airport and just fly from gate 1 or the first gate to wherever. Then at that destination from from gate 2 and then gate 3 and so forth. Where will you go? Maybe some rules: If there are concourses then start with concourse A, so A1. If there is no flight from that gate for 8 hours you can skip the number and go to the next gate. If the flight is full then you have to wait until the next flight from that gate. You win when you reach you reach home.
That was awesome! Most airlines in Europe have something similiar called blind booking or surprise booking. Did that twice with my girlfriend once we ended up in the alps and once in malta it was amazing. Can highly recommend something like that.
It's fantastic how we all travel with you and get an insight on some of the things to do and see on offer, apart from the food (mmmm food lol), it gives us a chance of really deciding on where we should go and see. Keep up the great adventures, much appreciated. 🇦🇺✌

Random trip is always will be the best one. You will enjoy Taiwan 🇹🇼. Such a nice country to visit having done so before although I just manage to be in Taipei only. Hopefully u have time to visit elephant mountain in Taipei with a view overlooking the Taipei 101.
