This is great. I'm finally taking care of disaster preparedness here at my house and my husband is laughing at me and says I'm overpreparing. I figure if we are to be self-sufficient for two to three weeks, we can do it in relative comfort for very little money, and when hot shower time comes he can use the cold water from the hose! (Just kidding I wouldn't do that). Off to look up DIY composting toilets...
Brother...I can't believe this method actually exist! Awesome! I had the same thought of making one out of a 5 gallon bucket, but didn't know where and how to start this project. Thanks to your video...I don't have to think too hard now.
It shouldn't be a problem, the handles on these buckets are rated for paint which is even heavier than water by volume. Just use good rope and a thick branch.
I have a 2 gallon Garden sprayer that comes with a spray nozzle on a hose and a hand pump on top. Its a bit smaller then the 5 gallon bucket, but good for one person. Just fill it with warm water and pump up the pressure with the handle.
Hey folks you don't have to DRILL the hole you can HEAT the hole and poke any valve that works in there. Don't need any specialized valve just a valve will work. Can attach a can with holes in it for that shower affect. You can place 2 liters of water in the fire on the coals as long as the cap dont melt you can heat water this way dont boil it when you see bubbles in the bottle it is done if it bust your fire goes out? Paint bucket black leave in sun with reflector to direct sun light?
I wonder if you lashed a pole across two close skinny trees if it would be easier to get it up high enough. That’s been my biggest challenge getting these showers high enough. I end up with a foot washer lol
Ingenious idea! Thx uploader and video host guy! It was well explained! U stoled my patent by accident! Ha ha... But... i really appreciate ur concepts!
Keep the lid on can maybe add a radiator hose so water flows into a #10 can with holes pull the string bucket empties into can get your shower water CHEAPEST SHOWER free bucket free can free rope just need a pulley to raise and lower bucket or use something that doesn't catch the rope? I know this can be done really cheap. I use to use the whip hose from a hose reel on the blue cans from wally world they fit under the sleeper of my truck I did a video? Place container on seat gravity fed shower.
@Michael S I am talking about volume not pressure. But a height of water exerts .433 psi per foot of height. That is how dams work and submarines are crushed.
This is nice. I would add a simple pressure system though. A simple hand pump with a 4 foot tube on the end and put a valve on it and silicone it for a nice about of pressure.

Hell yes. Nice! Improvise, adapt, overcome...extra points on your Man Card Bro!!

great I love the design as the water gets lower dose the pressure change drastically
I prefer dumping the bucket over my head like a 5 year old, LOL. Great Idea guys.
amazing. u guys should market this. its awesome.
Awesome Idea Thanks for Sharing!
What a great idea, thanks!
好棒!👍👍👍节省,方便,实用,谢谢分享
if you paint the outside of bucket black it will draw heat from the sun.
and windshield screen can help heat it also

2 buckets,a tee, paint one bucket black in the sun,the other white with cold water.

Cool idea
love this ez to make! Respectfully, Margo
Thanks 💪👏from UK
how do you hang it up? with a pulley system or??? thats a lot of weight for some of us thank you
Great idea, thanks for sharig it
Could you do it with a bigger tub but then it will be too heavy to put up the tree knowing my luck it will fall on my frigging head! 😂
Ingenious! Only thing is where do I buy the shower head?
Take a PVC Endcap and drill small holes in it
You could actually have several and pipe them together with a manifold. As long as they were level, the volume would decrease at the same rate.

great idea.
WOW! I like that idea! Heh!
Nice simple idea. I'm a bit concerned about hoisting 40+ lbs up high. I assume you use a pulley?
Metal bucket, painted black, heats up water by sun. Or put it directly on stove.
Briliant
Ur tip is interesting, can you do a video on it plse ( xplain it all step by step, plse! Thx.
THATS SUch a good ideal i subbed your channel
very convenient thank you!!
use black bucket heats up water
You can drill holes offset in a buckets lid and tilt it on its side, works pretty much the same. Without buying stuff
cool shower
Use a black bucket and lid for warmer water.

did you wash all the dirt out of it? looks horrific in terms of bacteria....good plan..... poor visual....
+gmconly1 he heats the water....Did you take 7th grade science?
Cool
Nice
nice
paint it black and get some heat in it
How Neat !
Cool
