I am very happy that I found your channel, when you guys do a review we are never disappointed with the details and pros and cons. Please continue the outstanding work. Btw I miss your blooper moments. XD
I recently own one laserpecker 4 in my center, i have to say your review is pretty spot on with pretty much my experience using this machine. Keep up the good work.
Excellent review as always Aurora. Just one question though, is it possible to show how it compares to the xtool p1 in a separate video?. They seem to be filling the same market niche.
It might be worth noting in future videos for fixed head lasers that any cuts it make will have a non perpendicular edge due to the route of the laser from the fisheye lens?
Great review, and good points as always. I love the comments about an enclosure for the machine But great looking laser Thanks for sharing your experiences with all of us :-)
Hello Aurora. Tnx for the content. Can you explain me how can I engrave high resolution images in silver 925? I dont know what material to select and the power, depth and pass numbers 😢
Galvo’s cut at an angle as it gets further away from center. Also, with the extension connector attached, the head is so heavy that it is not level with the bed. I’ve had engravings that are uneven or skewed because of this.
More dangerous than practical. I'm not aware of any cut-off. If you stumble, it's going to keep firing. It's also not just "not dropping it", it's "not moving even a fraction of a milimeter" if you want a tidy engraving.
Hi guys love your videos what would you recommend for my first engraving machine cnc 2018 I hope To Ingrave aluminium nametags for keys but not on a commercial basis just for fun thank you regards Colm
That is indeed a slick-looking machine. In general, laser engravers/cutters seem even farther behind the curve than 3D printers when it comes to adding form to function - not that that's a problem for avowed hobbyists, but it is something that can reel in new people that might be turned off by less-refined designs. Then again, that brings me to my next point: I wonder what warnings LaserPecker might include in the documentation regarding laser safety or what safety interlocks might exist on the machine itself when using it for hand-held engraving. We recently got a new toy at work, a laser-induced breakdown spectrometer, for checking the chemistry of purchased scrap or of our own castings that can't be tested for their composition by traditional means. This instrument has an internal camera that can detect when a sample isn't being held tight to the analysis window, and shuts the laser down to prevent stray laser light from being beamed out into the room if the window isn't covered...a nice feature, given that the instruction manual says that the ocular hazard distance (or whatever the term was from the manual I read a week ago) is a full 13 meters. It seems obvious that this engraver can pump many more watts than our handheld spectrometer can. If you're holding it and get a hand cramp or have to shift your stance or can't suppress an itch or someone bumps into you or there's a bear attack, are you just spraying everyone in the vicinity with eyeball-cooking laser power until you can fumble around enough to hit the off button? Also, is that touchscreen the only place where such buttons exist? If you have to take your eye off of where the laser beam is going to find the e-stop, that could be a bad thing. Anyway, great review! You two probably get this comment a lot, but you really do have some of the best, if not the best, review videos in the 3D printing, laser, and desktop CNC hobbyist market. You're thorough, honest, not afraid to make constructive criticisms when necessary, and offer great ideas for modifications and design upgrades for manufacturers and users alike. In fact, your SV06 review helped me eventually pull the trigger on getting an SV06 Plus two months ago. Thanks for setting the example that other channels can and should follow regarding trustworthy review practices.
This approach is faster than moving the entire laser head in theory, but when you then have to actually slow down to burn deep enough, you lose a lot of that benefit. How do the times compare to other 10w lasers? how much time do you actually save?
Hello. Are you satisfied of your Vevor XF250 ? I'm looking for an extraction & filtration system for my small lab. Thanks and keep going, you're perfect!
In the last 2 months they raised the price to $1999 then put it on sale for $1699, still $100 more than it was without a sale. I keep looking at this because I want a portable unit but some of the cons you mentioned were already on my mind. The xTool F1 is more money and has a smaller usable surface. I want to be able to do glass, metals and acrylic. Please help me find a good alternative? Genmitsu Z3?
Yeah it's really obvious when these companies have no knowledge of English and naming their products. 🤣 That said, maybe these will find a home in frat houses as a result of the name: "bro, check out my LaserPecker!"
I have the original Kickstarter unit and I can say that the software is horrible and they have not supported the original product. It’s basically unusable. The lack of support is troubling for such an expensive device.
The best RUclipsr ever , the one and only who explain everything about device specs ❤❤❤❤❤
Exactly and we the viewers should push manufacturers to send stuff here.
I would love to see you compare the Laserpacker 4 and the xtool F1.

Always enjoy your well thought out and thorough reviews. Thanks!

do you plan on doing a p1s video? been really looking forward to that help guide my purchase between that and the X1C. awesome work as usual!

To align for the stainless steel pendant, does the red dot have to be in the middle of the pendant?
I would imagine that without air exraction it wont be too long until the mirrors are covered in deposits from the smoke.
engrave on PLA and handheld on random objects? Now I want!
Love your videos
Hi may I know if you tried to engrave on pvc material and how is the result
Another good video. Anyone else backup and pause the video to scan the QR . lol
Hello, does anyone know how tall and heavy this box that the kit includes is?
Thks. How to cut acrylic?
Nice bit of kit
Will you be testing the Elegoo Phecda laser engraver?
Great video! I am curious how realistic it is to hand hold a laser like this? Seems more dangerous than practical?

Is this machine good for engraving Silver and Gold?
Hi guys love your videos what would you recommend for my first engraving machine cnc 2018 I hope To Ingrave aluminium nametags for keys but not on a commercial basis just for fun thank you regards Colm
Can it be used to clean rust & oxidation from metal objects?

Cool product. Price is also very cool = )

that was professional and adorable :)
Love your videos ❤ I want to try lasers too 😃 I will document the experience on my channel 💪

Yes, the XF250 smoke purifier works well on both FDM and laser wood cutting.
@@AuroraTech Thanks :-)
LaserPecker was my nickname in college. 😂😂
Laser Pecker sounds like something from an Austin Powers movie.

It's $1600 for anyone wondering.
👍🏻👍🏻
i miss the bloops😆
So are you offering laser-tattoo services with that? :D
Sorry...I don't have a laser pecker yet but wish I had one
I guess this company didn’t check with any brand consultants or native English speakers before they picked their brand name? 😂
Yeah it's really obvious when these companies have no knowledge of English and naming their products. 🤣
That said, maybe these will find a home in frat houses as a result of the name: "bro, check out my LaserPecker!"
It’s aspirational lol
😁😄😅😂😅😄😁
what a name lol
I hope your garage has a DANGER LASER ON neon sign on it when laser machine is running, so ppl won't walk in and blinded
No...just lock the bloody door😮
Great review as always, unfortunate product name. lol
