Hi Professor, I will start my PhD next week. Two weeks ago I was so nervous, scared and had alot of negativity cause most of my peers and senior colleagues had a tough and challenging PhD time. After watching your vlogs, I must be grateful on all the info you've shared. It equipped me to plan, manage and also anticipate for the bad days of my coming studies. Today, I am more prepared than before. Again, thank you for showing me how to be superstars. Love, light and peace be upon you.

Ma'am the sessions are very useful in toto. My situation at present is little similar to what was yours at the time of your Ph.D. On the one hand, am enrolled for a full-time Ph.D. and on the other got an academic position for a year. It's very difficult to keep a regular eye on Ph.D. But, am grateful to you for these very informative and lucrative sessions. They are of great help. I would love to be in touch. Thank you!

Thanks very much Tara, Great. So I got my research idea for end 2018 while I listened to this. and its a doozie. I've obviously been thinking about it subconsciously as an angry buzz. Will settle down and chase the articles I need to follow it through. It is about the limited value of an autonomous model of literacy achievement that currently keeps NAPLAN or High-Stakes testing afloat in OZ in line with Neoliberal policies that regard kids as human capital (high unemployment rates here!!) How can it be justified by policy makers as representative measurement of a child's total literacy acquisition, especially if that child is in some way holistically challenged? Who are the policy makers? Are they aware? What alternative forms of teaching literacy are available? (e.g. Peter Freebody: Alan Luke and team) and here I go. I have to focus on why the testing is educationally unsound don't I?
Thanks Tara, See I can think!

That is MAGNIFICENT :) And the literacy theory is so rich now. After twenty great years of theory - we are at a strong meta stage :) The gap between the high quality theory and the policy work is SO CLEAR NOW. Great moment for a PhD here. You are the person to write it!!! Txxx
