As another said, "the memory you create in finding them" is what I love when I find that special piece I've been looking for. When you see it, you usually know even before you check the price and most of the time the price is in line with what you are willing to pay which makes it even more special. Every time I look at those pieces, they give me joy and so much pleasure that I have them in my home.
You are such a sweet find! I like it when your Mom and you are together. I am 73 so I could be your Mom. I have a deep love of blue. I am of Danish heritage. I have many of the plates and other pieces my Mother in Law gave me over the years. Looking at blue makes me happy. That little cabinet fits perfect in that little wall. Take me along again. The music you use is so unique and lovely and the message at the end is warming. Thank you! Joyce

I was hoping you would get the bakers cabinet, I love that. About the older feather pillows, note of caution, every 6 months I spray my feather pillows with Lysol and put them in the sun for a few hours. Older feather pillows can have dormant mites in those feathers. The quilt is a great find!

I LOVED the White Oval Mirror, and the Sailboats!!!! We've not been in our new home for a year yet, but we made a room up for our two Grandsons. The design is Nautical, and I would have LOVED to have had those Two Sailboats you looked at!!!! That Blue Quilt is just LOVELY also!!!! Thank-You for taking us along on your Journey!!!!

When y'all was looking at those rabbit cups, you glanced by a red and white jug, I remember those back in my childhood year's. Brought back memories when my family visited the beach. That baker's cabinet is the perfect fit, good deal!
The round yellow painted tin piece on the slated wood is a flue cover . Stoves had pipes back in the day and were used during winter. During warmer months they would take down the stovepipe to prevent birds nesting in them which would leave a hole in the wall. They used these decorative flue covers to hide the hole which was left in the wall by removing the pipe.

I found two of the powder blue restaurant ware plates several years ago at a local thrift store. He color is one of my favorites. So fun to see you found some also. I’ve never seen the color again until you shared yours.

Btw, I enjoy seeing you shopping with your mom. My mom passed away 1.5 years ago, so I don't get to do girly things with her. I'm glad she's in a better place now, but sometimes I selfishly feel I'm missing out on things without her.

I owned a baker's cabinet almost exactly like the one you bought! Very old, wavy glass. It wasn't in as good as condition of yours, but I sold it several years ago for $350. I loved it hut no longer had wall space for it after a remodel. Love the nook space you have for yours...perfect fit!

Love the bakers cabinet. What I really liked was the white iron stone and brown transferware dishes, beautiful. I prefer aesthetic movement patterns but those were pretty. And the green bowls. I really need to visit your area. Thanks.

I am a Biblical scholar and the translation instead of fear to the point that it changes your life. Love your mom she is such a sweetheart. That quilt was the greatest find. I used to quilt like that but I got tendonitis so I can no longer do it. Love everything you got. You are so amazing as a shopper and your home looks beautiful. Had to stop and send a message to your mother. My brother gave me a glass rolling pin like you bought. I bought a wrought iron or black metal I suppose of some sort hanger so I could hang it on the wall and I filled it with small wooden apples and hang it in my kitchen love it love it

Oh! I just love your haul. Such beautiful finds! I have that same Grey Poupon jar, only mine doesn’t have a top but it came with a tiny carved ivory spoon. It belonged to my great grandmother. Not sure when she acquired it, but for reference, she passed in 1974 at 79 yrs. So, I suspect the jar is quite old.

Love blues like you, I mix greens with my blues and greys! Love the large Blue Boy portrait you need to find the blue girl now! We had them but in much smaller size. I use towels like that for dresser scarves! 👍🏻❤️

I loved the sail boats . Thanks for giving me some inspiration for a couple of ideas to decorate my serving table . I found a blue ticking vintage pillow also at a local shop here in Missouri down the street from me . Love it . They’re running about $23-26.

Eagle-eye Momma spotting those pale blue 💙 platters at Habitat❣️🥰 I have never seen any blue ones like those before, but I have 4 restaurant ware platters like them - a bit larger than those, but mine are white. I got them at the Thrift Store YEARS AGO for .25 each. BEST $1.00 I EVER spent at the Thrift Store❣️🥰 Your Momma is right...platters like ours are wonderful for a large luncheon salad. 🥗 I also like mine on spaghetti 🍝 😋 and garlic bread night, and they are also perfect 🥰 for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners when you want to put just a little bit of EVERYTHING on your plate. 🤪😁👍🏼🤣*

Love everything, especially the bakers cabinet! Wondering if you were able to clean the feather pillow and if so, how? As a side note, we recently found a quilt made by my husband’s great grandma in an attic. It was very dirty but I took it to a dry cleaners and except for a couple of stains, they cleaned it.
@10:42 that's a flue cover for a wood burning stove. I have one in my old cottage. I have a glass rolling pin. I display my vintage Scrabble pieces on it. Saw some great silhouettes. I collect them. Do you live on the Great Lakes? Is that why you're drawn to sail boats?
