If you have Mi Box 4 (or similar) on non smart TV and you can't even turn on your box.... just unplug power cable from Mi Box and plug it back, now you can at least do something. I also recommend that you use apps like Zank remote (from play store - warning can be tricky with advanced settings) or other similar apps, so if you lose or broke your remote, you can continue using your device.

to implement all these methods, you need to turn ON the android device in the first place, which is done by IR feature of the original remote, is there any way to switch ON the android box(Mi box S)

Just connect normal Keyboard in the TV use arroe keys to connect the wifi with the Tv and than use your phone as remote
