Prime Cup (Japanese: ウルトラカップ Ultra Cup) is one of the four Stadium Cups in Pokémon Stadium and Pokémon Stadium 2.
In Pokémon Stadium, the Prime Cup is the only Cup that does not originate from Pokémon Yellow's Colosseum 2. Instead, it is based on the regular Colosseum battles, which have no special limitations. As a result, all Pokémon, including powerful Legendary Pokémon such as Mewtwo, are allowed. There are no level restrictions in the Prime Cup, so all of the opponents will have level 100 Pokémon.
This is the only area in the Pokémon Stadium series where the elusive Mew and Celebi can be found. In Pokémon Stadium, the male Cooltrainer will have a Mew during the final battle of the Prime Cup division, while Cooltrainer Marty will have a Mew during the Round 1 Prime Cup in Pokémon Stadium 2. Likewise, Cooltrainer Marty will have a Celebi during the Round 2 Prime Cup in Pokémon Stadium 2. Also, Mew will be available as a rental Pokémon for Pokémon Stadium's Round 2 Prime Cup, while Mew and Celebi will be available as rentals in Pokémon Stadium 2's Round 2 Prime Cup.
In Pokémon Stadium, there are four levels of difficulty: Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, and Master Ball. In Pokémon Stadium 2, there is only one level of difficulty. _____________________________________________

I remember playing this game religiously with my cousin. Ahhhh, those were the days...
Don't know why Ursaring used Dynamic punch instead of Fire punch in the final - cost him the match.
Yikes! The final trainer's Mew is scary.
Indeed. and also annoying
i literally cant beat this damn Mew!😭
Im stuck at that mew also 😢 mf dodges every single attack and can move fine even when paralyzed fully 🤦🏽♂️
@@jmaster2930same
@ChrisPTY507 what about the celebi the final trainer had in round 2?
Just going to say this here, I prefer the music of the Prime Cup in Stadium 1 than Stadium 2. Regardless, this was an incredible Prime Cup video!
17:48 That thing hurts!
Heracross MVP
Pokemon Stadium 2 My Favorite Game Growing Up As A Kid
11:04 this guy used all of the 3 evolutions. ;)
Ouch, x8 damage on Exeggutor 17:47
If you consider type bonus, it becomes x12.
It was also a crit
Struggled in this cup, ty for showing heracross it was the MVP I needed! All other dark types and bugs i wanted to use against mew had such useless moves.
Yeah! Heracross is so underrated!
Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan wow amazing he used both
It just took me like 7-10 tries to beat this. Wish I knew the prime cup heracross got megahorn. Was I supposed to recheck them all to find that out? Most of them have the same moves.
Yeah most rentals have the same moves at level 50. It’s hard to spot the differences.
@@ChrisPTY507 I beat it in such a dumb way lol. Electabuzz light screen so Graveler can take a blizzard, then self destruct and hope he doesn't use his two fighting resists to stop a sweep from hitmonlee. Luckily he used ttar and umbreon. Will you do all the content in R2 using rentals?
@@trustme3321 That is correct. Next videos will be Pokémon Stadium 2, R2 using rentals only. It was annoying a couple of times, but I gathered patience to clear through all of it.
dude Kathy was also a freakin pain too with her Mr Mimes Double Team..
Evasiveness haxes are annoying.
@@ChrisPTY507 100% im starting my run over i got to the last trainer but his Mew is too killer I had use Primape, Alakazam, Charizard, Kingdra, Electabuzz and Vilplume
@@jmaster2930 Use a pokemon that counters Mew. He will always lead with it.
@@ChrisPTY507 right i didnt have heracross on my team so i have to start over lol 😂 but its all good thanks man for the help! i got to Round 7 with a completely different team lol but im stuck on the finals so yeah i need ur team lmao
@@jmaster2930 Hahaha, give my team a shot! Alternatively, consider a team that aligns better with your strategies. Sometimes imitating styles might not harmonize with your preferences.
just lost because my heracross didnt 1 shot the umbreon. rip
Bruh, I was struggling with building my own team…. I have so many questions about the team you chose, to me they seem like such an unworldly combo, how did you even think to use them? It felt weird going in with no fire type and no grass type… I felt like I was breaking the law or something …. Long story short I demolished the cup first try, and I’m impressed with the team, fucking thanks bud
LOL well, I decided to go with this team after HOURSf overthinking and studying the Pokémon I was expected to face on every single battle, while also taking into consideration my battling style. This of course varies from player to player, so just choose whatever works best for you.
I had 6 continues for the last fight with mew....lost 7 in a row sheesh wow fml
wow that sucks
luckiest dumb ursaring in the world lol this fight took my so long without speedrunnijh
23:02 AI: I see you're about to knock me out. Would be a shame if I were to troll you and pull a miss hax.
32:11 Why Megahorn and not Rock Smash (knowing Piloswine is part-Ice and weak to Fighting moves)?
Megahorn power: 120, stab boost to 180.
Rock smash power: 40, stab boost to 60, super effective boost to 120
Megahorn is stronger
I was watching at 23:02 and was like "The bullshit's about to kick in." Sure enough....
All too easy without fairy type Pokémon 🤣
Part of the reason I like Stadium 1 more is because of this game flexing on me when it screws me. Blackbelt’s angry face is one of the most annoying things to look at, and the so called “cool” trainers just laugh? Once I beat this I’ll be glad I don’t have to see those again.
PLEASE respond!!! I need help!!! I want to beat the prime cup, but I keep losing. I need advice. Which are my six best rental Pokémon?? Which ones should I use for each battle (between 3 and 6)? If you guys tell me, I’ll tell you the dirtiest joke I know. It is hilarious and HIGHLY inappropriate, it’ll make you laugh your heads off and shame your moms.
I come here today just finishing the prime cup with the assist from this video. If you’re still interested, my team was:
Aerodactyl, Heracross, Snorlax, Kadabra, Electabuzz, Haunter.
This video inspired me to use heracross and haunter. Made it to the last match with 3 continues. I hope this helps 💪🏼
