One of the first questions dabo needs to be asked is why it took an injury to Shipley to see more of Moffa. It was clear since week 1 “stat lines” that he was the more productive RB. Then when you add in all the fumbles and not punching it in inside the 5 yard line after huge Moffa runs, this was a glaring example of bad talent evaluations. Just my opinion but seems very clear. Loved Dabo after the game talking to that chick on the field. He has that fire back in him. That fire that got us two nattys. That’s the Dabo I been waiting on. Hell perhaps Tyler from Spartanburg did a good thing in the end and reignited something in coach. Go Tigers!
Definitely the most complete game we had all year btw offense, defense, ST and winning in the redzone. Now with a little bit of confidence, hopefully this carries over to the next few games and end the season on a good note
I think a lot of us fans thought Mafah should have more carries, but we had to trust Dabo and the coaches that make those decisions. Mafah is a bruising big back that moves the pile. With our Oline that has issues making holes, Mafah would be the better choice on short yardage plays. Shipley has breakaway speed, but needs a hole to run thru, and our Oline simply has not provided much of that. Our D played their best game of the year, so that was encouraging. Don't forget that if Clemson makes that short FG at the end of the FSU game, that Clemson would have won that game. That would have changed a lot of things. Glad to see our team coming together and winning games that they should win.

Did I actually just see a Dabo running back carry 36 times in one game? What just happened? Wow! Love it! Especially the 3 runs in a row for Mafah's last TD. Didn't get fancy...just kept it simple. No way they'd stop him at the goal line consistently.
That's the biggest difference between Garrett Riley and Brandon Streeter. Brandon Streeter stopped running the ball against South Carolina even though it was working. Garrett Riley kept running the ball against Notre Dame because it was working.

But i think the winner goes to Riley who totally changed his scheme and let the O-line play pee-wee style football - “just hit the guy in front of you.” No pulls or cuts whatsoever. Gotta do what you gotta do when you’re patchwork, but that absolutely allowed for the win and even saved Cade from getting killed. I believe Austin still needs to go to a lower level program to build experience (hope this doesn’t reverse course on that). And man, I feel for these receivers. The clay is there IMO, specifically with Beaux and Adam, but Grisham just can’t mold them. Collins is gonna end up on a practice squad at best at the next level. That’s definitely short of the potential he arrived with.
Agreed. Tyler Grisham might be the worst position coach we have, even over Thomas Austin. Our receivers get worse the more time they spend with him. Look at Antonio Williams from last year to this year (I know he's been hurt a lot this year but when he has played, he hasn't looked like he looked last year).
Hopefully Dabo fires Grisham and just brings back Jeff Scott. Jeff Scott has said he would love to come back to Clemson but he's taking the season off to spend time with family.
Dominique had a couple of tackling breaking runs up the middle and even caught a pass fighting through tackle to get first down...and then poof...; I'm not going to give Cade a break--still not making progressive reads and throwing into 3X coverage---that pass to Bo for INT should not have been thrown and even when you set up the fly with the run game, Cade missed both long balls which could have resulted in TD's...lastly--I'm convinced that an entire practice need to be dedicated to the red-zone...it's just ridiculous that this offense lose yardage when it gets on the goal-line; GT has a running QB, something Clemson defense has struggled with--Clemson defense proved that ND was not going to out physical them like last year...good win but I still have concerns with Cade's decision making with the ball...1st read Cade...

Glad we got the win but honestly this doesn't really change anything for me. The same issues were still prevalent. I dont care about championships even though they are nice. The guage ive always used, and why i always supported dabo, is improvement. The biggest stat i always pointed to was how we ended seasons ranked higher than we started and played better as the season progressed. The past couple of years ive seen the same problems with no improvements. We've had little to no improvement on o-line play, wide receiver play, offensive play calling, turnovers this year, etc. I got to see national championships won and ill cherish that forever, but best is the standard doesn't mean championships. It means you don't keep making the same mistakes and doing what doesn't work.
Are you saying the 11.4 mil spent this year is well spent ? Will it be well spent next year, and the next years ? You are correct about this year , it's over . Yea Team you beat ND. I know, I know I'm the problem.
