+gardaland92 Absolutely! :) Pokemon music is just so full of life and hope, bursting with energy...charming. There are OSTs more beautifully written than Pokemon I believe, but none have the same charm of adventurousness :,) Thank you for stopping by man!~
2:26 walking through the beach and trying to avoid the trainers to reach Slateport as fast as possible. Yeah, that's me playing pokémon emerald, don't judge me!
I'm obsessed with the sootopolis theme. Normally it's like upbeat with accordion and stuff but I definitely prefer to slower paced moody piano style. So freaking beautiful.
When ever I hear this I remember the first game I ever played. Alpha Sapphire, this brings back memories of 2 years ago. Thank you daj for this amazing music it's...... the best piano I've ever heard no lie. And please, don't stop. Thank you.
+Blue EmberG Seeing comments like these - when you admit that nostalgia got you - is what makes me determined to keep this channel going. So no, I won't stop. ^^ Thanks for the fuel man~
Though this was published over a year ago, I just wanted to say thank you for making this channel. The elegance of your playing can really move me to tears, as if the nostalgia wasn't already a killer. Really, thank you for what you do. In the darkest of days, your performances can still manage to put a smile on my face.
I'm crying, bro. The nostalgia is tearing me apart. You've done it again. I'm sending this to everyone I know, everyone needs to know how much of a legend you are. (this is Tyler, I switched accounts) This work cannot be explained in words. You've opened something greater than no ones ever done. Amazing, Daj, your getting closer to that 1000 subscriber milestone!! 💫💫
This was so instrumentally beautiful, I have no idea why this doesn't have way more views and likes! This is truly fantastic, I love the composition with my favorite Pokemon game!
That was beautiful....my nostalgia of playing Pokemon sapphire is coming back. Played it on a gameboy sp with back lit screen so I had to hunch down, but it's coming back. Thank you seriously for letting me relieve my nostalgia. Keep it up!!
+Jaehyun Nam All those images of your childhood - they're precious, and I'm so happy that a simple piano mashup could bring those back to you. :) I'll be trying really hard to bring more live stuff to the table so more people get to relive their old experiences, so I really hope I can create some more of these moments for you in the time to come ^^ Much cheers, and thank you for the comment :)
*When you’re a genwunner, and you come to listen to Pokémon music other than Pallet Town for Pokémon masters, though that is so nostalgic, then you get addicted to this channel*
Daj... this entire piece is absolutely beautiful. Your playing might not be perfect here but I can feel every bit of emotion and each theme you recollect brings a nostalgic yet hopeful outlook. The writing is also excellent. It's simple enough to retain the exact feelings you get from each town/city yet not too complex as to make the memories foggy. Keep on playing.
Hey man, thank you very much for this wounderful music. It really helps to calm down when being stressed out. The nostalgia puts a smile on my face and I'm very thankful for that. Greetings from Germany
+SpyingThrone Hehe, to be honest I think it's just the arrangement. The original Sootopolis part was smooth and full of strings, but Winged Souls took the best bits out to get a more pianistic section, and I loved learning it. But yes, this version definitely sounds just right for the piano ^^ Thanks for stopping to listen, there will be more stuff made for the piano coming soon!~
+Kileen Forte It's just experience ahaha, if you spent most of your 20-year life learning the piano and still sounded like this you'd be pretty disappointed. XD That's why this channel focuses on the strugglers - I kinda know the position they're fighting from ^^ But I'm so glad you enjoyed this! ^^ You're the best :)
Might wanna add in Winged Souls' edited piece into the description, btw :) The link is in one of their comments, or www.mediafire.com/file/insggeq3a092bgb/ORASEnding_DajEdit.pdf
+Ohla Ong I think Littleroot is the best melody in the whole of the Hoenn series, ahaha. The best track goes to RSE Oceanic Museum without doubt, but a melody doesn't get sweeter and more nostalgic than Littleroot. Glad you enjoyed it :)
+Rúlian Afonso Hey man! ^^ Um, for some reason I forgot to do the export for this sheet and that means there will be no download links for a while, ahaha. Either way, I don't have the RSE Ending sheet, but I'll go ahead and upload this one so maybe you can adapt your own arrangement based on this!~ Much cheers, thank you for watching :)
Oh I'm fine with out of tune pianos. Yours isn't all that bad. The ones in my school practice rooms are worse by far. The grand at school is so bad the the notes from the bottom F down sound almost an entire semitone too high. On a couple of the pianos, some of the notes are broken and the top c doesn't even play. I play these school pianos almost every day so I'm very used to nothing being in tune haha. Also, where did the fan go? There's always been a fan in background and it's gone ok this video.... :(
+ZekromPlaysPiano Oh! It's always there haha, no worries. xD I did chop this video (c'mon i'm not that good haha) but I can assure you that the fan never moved ^^ I have no idea what the exact model is, but I'm using a pretty solid industry-standard Shure condenser! Just one mic, haha. It connects to iPhones and sounds great, whee! :)
It's good, but not amazing or great since you didn't capture the experience and mood of the town, you even got some pf the tempos wrong, I don't have a problem with playing gentle just don't mess up the power and emotions that you experience in each place
oops, sorry for the late reply! for real critiques and thoughtful comments like yours, i wanna do my best to find out more and learn - so yeah! :) i think to capture the mood and experience of each town would be pretty difficult, and even after that, subjective: i’m surely going to add my own layers of interpretation on the sheets. in which, i’d think it’s hard to “mess up” the power and experience of each piece, unless i was completely off tangent~ but if i was completely off anywhere, do let me know! this is an old recording, and there’s been plenty of opportunities to develop technique from there :)
Pokemon games have some amazing musics, I never get enough listening to that

My first game was sapphire on 2004. Omg such nostalgia

This has to be the best take on the credits theme yet

The best music I've ever heard. Never thought a Pokémon music can make one cry so bad.
ORAS OST is a FRIGGING MASTERPIECE
Slateport has to be one of my favorite city themes ever and Verdanturf is not far behind.

4:33 Fortree City
6:30 Part 2 of the credits music track

感銘を受けた
been listening a lot of different covers by others, this is the best one i've heard so far. thanks for making these
What a terrific arrangement and performance! As a hardcore ORAS player, I was so touched by the familiar melodies!

As usual, you did an amazing job! Keep up the good work :3
truly a masterpiece! Great job! I would love to see this for other gens too like Sinnoh.
I just discovered this for the first time- man you've got a lot of talent. The sky is the limit for you man! Love your music and your craft
sootoplis sounded right on I think that song was made for the piano great job keep it up :)

Finally someone who didn’t rush the beginning
My top favorite piece from the Hoenn games! Great performance as usual!
Beautiful job, daj! Love Winged Souls' arrangements :)
+OrangeWaffle
Gotta just love his stuff, yeah. :) Each sheet is a nice little challenge, and I'll be taking up another one pretty soon, hehe~
It's good to see some Hoenn love in the channel. You nailed it 👌
+Alfredo Crespo
Haha yeah, Hoenn has been a little underrepresented here...maybe it's time for a Hoenn collection? :)
You are simply amazing, keep going!!
Just wow dude :O unbelievable
Ahhh this is amazing!! You have so much talent! Definitely subscribing

와 진짜 리듬도 좋고 진짜 호연지방 여행 하는 느낌이네요
Littleroot Town Theme made me cried for that everytime
Great collaboration!

There seems to be lots of Hoenn love here, ahaha. Maybe it's time for a Hoenn collection...hmm~
Thanks for watching mate! :)

love it! especially the littleroot part 😝

Awesome, Hoenn time!

As always an amazing work!! Do you have the ending theme sheet? I loved it. The feels I felt were Real!.
I mean the theme you played at the beggining of this vídeo
+Rúlian Afonso

very nice
when I play I have to strap my head to my head rest so I don't do what this guy is doing
Wonderful! :-)
Please delete the time stamps in the description of the video. This is too good to skip any part
Very nice! Your piano might need tuning though, but its not bad enough to destroy the effect of the piece.
+ZekromPlaysPiano
Ahaha such is the pain of maintaining a piano in the harsh Singaporean tropical climate.

Ahaha school pianos are the worst.
Well I just noticed that the fan is there at the beginning and then vanishes later...
Mind if I ask what mic you use?
+ZekromPlaysPiano
Oh! It's always there haha, no worries. xD I did chop this video (c'mon i'm not that good haha) but I can assure you that the fan never moved ^^

Beautifully executed the only thing that irks me is the sqeaky chair noise
Is your name Jeff?
+MajesticKarp
Nope! :p It's Darren~
daj does VGM You look like someone I knew from a few years back so I figured I'd ask lol.
my name jeff
put it at 1.25x speed
