    Nice list! I would love to start seeing example hands at the end of these videos maybe showcasing two different starting hands, your thoughts and rules for mulligans. It would really help those who don't have experience with these colors, type of deck, or who are new to the format.

      @kevinsimmons5343 3 года назад +2

      Yeah, this build is making me rethink mine a bit! My build was also razaketh, and won through Kiki-Jiki... I wouldn’t call it “slow”, because I don’t think you CAN have a slower deck with Mr. Roger helping you out, but it feels a tad bit clunky and inconsistent. Also really lacking in interaction. Here’s the list I started with: www.moxfield.com/decks/4BgNLdGlekOA7HsdeFI8Hg

    • @LocalGameGroup
      @LocalGameGroup  3 года назад +2

      Haha, I had a separate deck idea for Tana & Tevesh called “Enter the Dragon,” utilizing Dragon Tribal and Kiki-Jiki as wins with minor stax. 🤔 May revisit that.

  • @solotopp

    God dang it Pat. I was thinking of building a Magda list still but this reminds me of my Korvold list except I draw more cards. This looks so fun.

    • @LocalGameGroup
      @LocalGameGroup  3 года назад

      I don’t like Korvold that much 😅 Justin plays it and there are so many games where you’re simply top decking with a big Dragon that blocks, with one Land on T5 and little to no permanents on board... Jund adds nothing meaningful to this package, the “I’m going to win after Ad Naus” package, aside from a Veil of Summer. There’s no Legendary as consistent as Tevesh at drawing. Not that I’ve experienced.
      PS-No offense to your Korvold. How the deck is piloted > over the list itself, haha. It’s recovery game has never been good and getting him out is a pain with his color pips (relative to a 4B draw engine).

    • @solotopp
      @solotopp 3 года назад +1

      @@LocalGameGroup I find that I end up drawing a lot with Korvold but the weaknesses you point out are pretty accurate. Most of the permanents are saced and converted into a card in hand.
      I play a Food Chain list with a good amount of stuff to sac that gives value but I built my list to be more "mid-range" rather than turbo. For that reason, I end up drawing a lot of cards which reminded me of Tevesh. That's what excites me about your list, the similarity in having a card draw engine; except that Tevesh hands down will draw more and his pairing with Rograkh enables the list to turbo just like you showed in the video. Might have to build this one.

      Haha, I missed utilizing Raza. Alongside Tevesh, he’s excellent... Another line of play is dragging Raza out and grabbing *Final Fortune* (two creatures needed). Correct me if I am wrong, but the main strategy of playing this deck is... Get value, However you get it, get 1 of 3 Peer, Necro, Ad Naus and draw as many cards as possible and then just play whatever play line that huge hand of cards gives you?
    Or should I be going for a specific line 1st, plan-B, plan-C, ect...
    Just trying to understand better the way you designed it to play.
    I have built the deck and played a few games and have had no luck at all, but I believe in this deck! I'm sure I am just playing it wrong.
    Is it...
    Play whatever the board state & hand gives you or specific lines in a specific order?

    • @LocalGameGroup
      @LocalGameGroup  3 года назад +1

      1. Play for Tevesh T1/2, or 2. Play for PITA/Ad Naus, 3. Play out whichever combo line presents itself, 4. If Necro is made available, you *can* play for it (never recommended alongside/over PITA/Ad Naus here), 5. If you have a starting hand that simply presents a Breach/Grinding play line, than you play that. Keep practicing lines of play to find out which is best. Everything you need is laid out in this video.

    I just wanted to specify if anyone missed it, but the Reiterate + Lightning Bolt loop isn't just a board clear, it is infinite damage to players. Also you don't need your commander out for Reiterate + Jeska's Will to draw your deck, bc when you have infinite mana you can start copying Jeksa's will for the "draw" effect until you find a win.

    • @Tupiaz
      @Tupiaz 3 года назад +2

      Artifact Blast is a very narrow card you need to have in hand when you have to counter the best artifact card. Abrade is better since it is more versatile as it will kill most of the creatures in cEDH. Burnout is a bit expensive as it only works as a counter counter spell. Most of the time you will probably only use it as protection.

      Reality can be cast from the graveyard if countered. Divergent cost the same as Transmogrify but also removes one of your opponents creatures. Transmogrify is the worst of the three. I'm guessing you rather just want to tutor for one of the two rather than play with a third version. However it could also be a preference of style.

      Scramble > Any Polymorph, but Transmogrify is close... 3R makes it more accessible, but the lack of Retrace hurts it - as sometimes you Entomb it to begin the combo - however, Divergent is a different beast entirely. “Instant” speed cannot be understated. You’re able to go overtop of someone else’s attempted win to bring out Razaketh and tutor (provided you have Creatures to sacrifice). Using Divergent after a big counter war to sac a singular creature for *Final Fortune* could mean you won the game. Divergent seems bad because you’re giving an opponent a thing, but in decks not designed for Polymorphs/Scrambles, they will not see the same value as you. Also, if concerned, hit two Thrull. 🤷‍♂️ You only need two of these in the list and these are the best in Red (and in the game).
