You don't need Catalyzing Shields. Brief Respite + 2 Augur Mods + Maxed Blind Rage is all you need. With Garuda's mod-less max shields, using Seeking Talons with those mods gives her the exact same 1.33 seconds of shield gate that Catalyzing Shields does AND your abilities are buffed by whatever Augur mods you decide to throw in. Add onto that how Seeking Talons also makes you completely invincible during its charge and cast and it's one of the freest shield gates in the game. Two other things worth of note are how the blood ball bypasses line of sight checks on the throw and how her Seeking Talons augment also bypasses walls. Putting these two bits together, you can make it so that Garuda can explode basically any enemy in the game without even being able to see them if you jack your range to max.
Something funny I've found out recently is that viral affects "ripping out the life force" part of her 1, so with 10 viral and corrosive (magnetic for shields) stacks you can 3 tap practically everything on any lvl as long as it's not immune to abilities or have status effects cap. Yeah it's pretty niche, but I find it interesting :P
She is incredibly fun to play and super powerful. Her passive alone is just amazing, and with quick thinking, she becomes the best energy tank in the game, no need for shield gate for people that dont like it. Amazing video explaining her, on of my fav frames
What’s the point of full armor strip if you’re kind of focusing on slash procs which bypass armor..? Would it not be just easier or more efficient to use 1 Tau green for comfort to free up another slot for something else? It just seems a little redundant. Sure, enemies have more health now where I could see full strip being nice; however, anything full stripped will just die anyways - Garuda is more than capable of demolishing level cap with right setups without green shards.
You're right! Green shards are fully optional. I was mostly using them for 9999 void cascade, just increasing the kill rate a bit. I just didn't like spending 60% bile xD. Anything under lvl 1000, these are not needed at all and should be exchanged for any other you'd personally want.
my problem with her and other frames is that I dont often find myself in places to use her properly, this ia a problem with nidus as well for me, I want to open relics best places are often captures or if it exterminate my teammates usually assist in killing so I never use her combo. Solo exterminate?Abysall zone, dagath farm. That was the SLOWEST exterminate I ever done(I used the nikana prime) I ended up farming Dagath with atlsd. ATLAS
Well brother Garuda is meant to for long defensive playstyle not for quick smashing of the whole map... She is very fun to use on survival and disruption missions
I didn't actually remember that Seeking Talons lets you force Proc Slash. I've been playing her as a Blood Mirror Nuke with Tempest Barrage and Viral Tempest to Armor Strip and apply Viral then deleting enemies with a Blood Ball when they're viral'd and have no armo for like a couple million damage each.
I dont think garuda is as underrated as for example zephyr is because imo garuda is 100% a S tier frame BUT her kit is just not needed in normal steelpath since weapons kill so fast right now
This will sound really copium, but I didn't get where is the sinergy in the Xata build. Why did you choose pair xata with Garuda in particular? Why did you put her a purple tau for electricity? What is the sinergy between electricity and slash? To me, it looks more like a latron showcase instead of Garuda. Sorry, I'm really slow for this kind of thing but I would like to understand :(
@@JoseGarcia-uf7jc Xata gives an extra damage instance of void damage, which triggers slash via seeking talons seperately, increasing the total damage even further. You end up with x4 damage instances. Electricity status effect is also able to proc extra slash via seeking talons, just like blast. I was using the purp shard on some weapons to get corrosive with only 1 toxin mod. Hope that helps :)

I recommend you try roar with mecha set+heavy slam arca titron+influence, it does electrical damage which with the 4 makes make slash which when you hit the mark of the mecha set (which go on frame and kubrow) spreads the status in 30 meters range. nuke easy.
showcasing the latron incarnon is a bit pointless with gaurda unless your going to play into very high levels, as the latron will delete anything in steel path. Great vid otherwise, i like the sobek synergy.

Most of the radial incarnons especially go crazy, as they have both the radial damage instance and direct damage instance on hit, both proccing seeking talons slash and doubling with Xata.

the introduction of shards was a mistake BY DE, not you. They aren't easy to come by and that in itself will make a lot of people not want to try builds that use them.

Nourish is pretty good as it synergizes with slash damage bypassing armor and it gives you good energy sustain, still being in the early game. Gloom is fine, just a bit cookie cutter. Mod harmony for heavy slam, this still applies afflictions and will consume the buff at the same time giving similar damage output, but as AoE. :)
Trying the Harmony build and I can't get it to work, the hit from Harmony doesn't apply another slash status. Not sure if I'm being dumb or if DE changed something.
If you are using blood altar to go to damage cap then yes, they nerfed Melee Afflictions to not proc on enemies on blood altar anymore. This also applies to enemies with overguard or any other form of innate status immunity like demolysts :(.
The only thing I changed was putting resourceful retriever where bite used to be. Then put bite on the new weapon :). But I need to further look into all companions since the change.

Hi i built the damage cap build with harmony and when i try testing it the same as in the video then i only get to about 2 mil damage after 5 heavy hits. Is the ability changed or nurfed, pls let me know as well as if there is a way around this? Thank you
Melee afflictions and blood altar were changed to not stack damage in the same way. Afflictions still works on regular enemies and eximus units without overguard demolysts and bosses were changed to not recieve any additional affliction procs
I've been meaning to grind out a garuda prime set, but two of her parts are gold rarity, and I don't hate myself to put myself through rolling relics for gold rares.
Yes, the armour strip comes from the torid, vut you're right the slash will bypass armour. So you can drop them for something else. It just makes the upfront damage a bit higher :)

I get armour strip from 2 Emerald Archon Shards increasing corrosive stack cap. Armor strip also occurs passively, but much slower from Vicious Bond on the Panzer. Armour strip is optional though, in general you won't need it as the massive slash damage will bypass armour.
It may be vicious bond on the panzer, or the 2 emerald shards I was running. Otherwise there is also an armor strip option for the latron incarnon, can't remember which evolution
Roar is another option, Xata just duplicates the damage you are already doing which should scale higher afaik. But I'm happy to be corrected if not. :)
Harmony, any of the 4 main glaives (Cerata/Xoris/Glaive Prime/Halikar Wraith), Praedos, Furax Wraith Incarnon, Arca Titron/Magistar (or Sancti Magistar) Incarnon/Sibear Incarnon/Jat Kittag Slam builds, Tekko Prime, and so on. There's a lot. His harmony build will absolutely destroy acolytes

Discipline 's Merit and the crit damage one are the two best. Example build: Blood Rush, Weeping Wounds, Killing Blow, Primed Pressure Point or Sacrificial Pressure or normal pressure point, Melee Elementalist, Shocking Touch (or any electric mod), then you have two flex slots which can be a bane mod and something else, or 2 60/60 mods for Gas, and the arcane is melee influence. For harmony, we instead go lasting sting and melee afflictions like he talked about in the video with Primed Reach
As long as you spam 1 yes, but I don't like playing that way personally. PSF is almost always optional as you can just run Unairu or use a dante specter :).
So, make a ridiculously expensive build for garuda just to do what octavia can do even modless? 😂 Garuda is a cool warframe though. But stil, this is for those players that are just bored, or have ridiculous amounts of resources.

Casting speed and duration, damage is dependent on your other damage sources triggering the additional slash damage instance :)

Roar is another option, Xata just duplicates the damage you are already doing which should scale higher afaik. But I'm happy to be corrected if not. :)

So, make a ridiculously expensive build for garuda just to do what octavia can do even modless? 😂 Garuda is a cool warframe though. But stil, this is for those players that are just bored, or have ridiculous amounts of resources.
