Looking good, Steve! I think the Sport Tuned is an ideal motor for the Monster Beetle. Just enough to make it more fun but not too much as to cause problems. She took a few tumbles out there, but that's a Monster Beetle for ya! :O)
Poor old Albert Attaboy! He made his escape!! 🤣🤣
Thanks Mark, it's perfect for this one any more speed and you will get the monster beetle BOOM!
Ha ha yea ejected from the new faster speed! LOL!!
I still want one of these bad boys nice rip I like sport and torque tuned motors have had great luck with them
You have to get one it's so nice of a RC bug!! The motors are great. Thanks Bud!
@Shen RC I just got another frog will have on video soon its next got it on a trade
@@AdventureTimeRC Cool the frogs super fun to drive too!
I'm a crawler guy (mostly), basher sometimes too. The thing I love about your vids is its just pure enjoyment and being happy! No technical stuff, or over explaining things, just pure fun! Keep up the good work.
Thanks you made my day! So good to hear your kind words. 😁👍 Thanks so much.
More Beetles! Subscribed because of this video & upgrade!
Cool, I have a bunch of RC Beetle videos!
The Sport Tuned is still the best upgrate at low costs you can get for the Tamiyas. Thanks for showing Steve. Looks like tons of fun.
You bet, Thanks for watching.
Hey Steve👋🏻! The sport tuned definitely livened it up! So fast that even the driver bailed cuz he couldn’t handle it! 😝
That wheelie looked wicked too! Nice run brother!💪🏼🙌🏼😎
Absolutely! I glued him in with goop glue now he will have to handle the speed no escaping no more!
Killer runs with the Bettle!!! Great job thumbs up 👍
Thank you very much!
Great run Steve Brother. The Tuned motor sure looked faster to me brother and the perfect fit to this rig. Thumbs up
Yea any faster and you would destroy this beauty! Thanks for looking.
Man and beetle have become one, when it crashes he fills the pain
Yep!! Thanks for watching.
@@ShenRC no probs
Wow awesome video my friend,, and cool rc car 👍👍💯
Thank you 👍
Great stuff Steve that bug was rocking! Sport tuned was on the money! Any faster would spoil the driving experience and take the fun out of it and the body would suffer lol.
Cheers James
Yes I think this is as fast as you would want one of these to go for sure! Thanks
Nice! runs pretty good with that sport tuned motor.
Just the right speed for this one! Thanks!
Nice variety of terrain to run that beauty on! The sport tuned definitely gave it some pep!👍😊
Yea about as fast as this thing should go , Thanks HD! 👍
The sport tuned peps it up a treat 👌🏻 the monster beetle & the bruiser are the 2 that got away from me , especially since my folks growing up had 4 full sized beetles , maybe I'll get a beetle since they released them
yes it has some jump to it! you should get a bug! Thanks for looking.
Awesome video and the commenting along the video was funny 😄👍
Thanks I have many more like this. 😁👍
Cool! Nice run. 🔥
Thanks! 👍
Looks awesome Steve!🙂👍
Thanks 👍
Ripen with the bug Beauty survived for another video 💯👌. A person one time told me those scratches and character :). Got my eyes on that CCO2 defender still 👍
Thanks man it's all fun!
Hi there Steve, a great upgrade to the Monster Beetle, looks to have a lot more ‘get up an go’ 😊😊best wishes to you all 😊
Yep the driver proved it! POP!
Beautiful car mate
Thanks 👍👍
Such a cool rc.
100% agree! Thanks for watching.
Dude needs a better seat belt lol love the beetle baby😀😀🤘🤘
Tell me about it, I glued his ass back in with goop glue he won't be coming off no more!! LOL!!
great video! it's fast :)
I have the Tamiya torque tuned motor installed in mine Monster Beetle.
I don't think its as fast as your's with the sport tuned motor but it's way faster than stock and more fun. :)
Cool 👍 I like that Torque tuned motor also! Thanks for looking.
Definitely added some oomph
For sure and I would say the driver figure would also agree! LOL!!!
Looks good, Steve! It's definitely faster with that motor.
Thanks 👍
This will be my first kit. What steering servo do you recommend. Also, is the sport tuned motor a better option than the Super Stock RZ?
Hi this don't need a super high quality servo any standard one should be fine. The tamiya Super Stock RZ should be faster. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
I've just renovated my vintage MB and changed the motor for a Sports tuned. Looking forward for the test drive for sure. You mentioned shims for the gearbox. Is it in between the gear and the plastic plate holding the bearing? Do you have a parts-no? The dream is a Mip ofc, but they are "a bit" expensive. Especially with freight to Sweden. 7:43 7:43
Cool! I have the info on what I did in this frog video. ruclips.net/video/RCUeYSN_8ac/видео.html
@@ShenRC thanks a lot! Found the shims at a local dealer too. Like 2$ 😎👍🏻
@@barsken4870 Cool! I used a full shim in my monster beetle the diff gets tight if you want you can sand a hair off to make it run a bit loser like how I did on the frog.
I'll check it out! 😎🤘🏻Just by switching out all the crappy plastic for sealed bearings all around made a huge difference.
@@barsken4870 Yes ball bearings are a must!
Seems fast, I had a sport tuned in my lunchbox and it’s been a long time but I remember it being super slow, I put the gt tuned can in it after a few runs on the sport tuned
It's ok but the GT tuned is faster for sure!! Thanks
hi, friend! I would like to buy the tamiya monster beetle, my question is (if I put a 12-turn brushed motor on it) and I take it to 22.0 mph, do you think I will break the transmission gears? greetings😊
Hi the gearing on this is limited, I would suggest using the sport tuned motor like I did and shim the diff like i did also or buy the Mip ball diff for to make it even stronger, this going any faster than mine with the sport tuned motor will probably break a lot the body is fragile. Hope this helps.
@@ShenRC thanks for the input my friend Shen :)
The black Sport Tuned motor looks great in there!! Sorry it took a couple tumbles down the rocky path and got it dinged up! It definitely seemed a bit faster and it looked great out there slinging the sand and dirt around!!
Thanks, This is about the fastest speed I would want for this thing as it will just get destroyed with anything faster! fast enough to eject the driver! LOL!!
@@ShenRC yeah he went from Albert Ataboy to Albert Outahere!!
@@AddamsPlayground 🤣🤣🤣🤣 He won't be getting out of taking the fast ride anymore I goop glued his ass in! LOL!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
nice...did u upgrade the diff?
Thanks, I added a shim inside the diff it makes it stronger.
How many mah is your 2S pack?
Hi this was a 4000MAH 2S lipo.
@@ShenRC The battery tray didn’t need to be modified?
@@jrloopy1984 Hi no this one was the shape of a normal 6 cell NIMH pack I just used 4 small plastic spacers under the battery side plates that go on the side so you can fit longer batteries in it.
@ Thank you!
Definitely looks faster.
Cool! Thanks
👍
Thanks
You rolled it and the driver fell out. I have had that happen so many times on this type of body. Looked so much better on the sand kick it up 🙂The extra power did seem to cause more rolls, but there is a limit to how much power these need for fun and this is about right. I have faster cars than my Tamiya's but for fun do they really need more.
Yea I agree this is as fast as this thing should go. Thanks for watching.
Definitely looks way quicker than the stock silver can
It was, Good fun now! Thanks!
that’s the only downside to tamiya hard body’s they soon get scratched up i’ve now got a grass hopper blackfoot a super clodbuster and the newest one a sand scorcher all great fun but you tend to hold back more than lexan shells
Very true, Thanks for watching.
Diff sounds good. Is that using stock diff or upgraded (like MIP)?
Hi thank you, i shimmed the stock diff I have videos showing what I did in my frog build and MB build.
they have to wait years to build on filled land
Cool thanks I did not know that Bud.
HaHa, put on your seatbelt
That guy POPPED right out! LOL!!
