So let me get this right. Leather, that is mostly derived millions of cattle that we consume for food is bad for the environment? But an oil based textile that requires extensive manufacturing is good for the environment?
Though leather as a byproduct of the meat industry might sound sustainable - it’s not being given away for free. The profits made from leather are huge and go toward subsidising the meat-industry (which is a huge driver of carbon emissions). It makes sense to stop using leather if Apple doesn’t want to contribute to that.

Bullstrap case looks great
I bought one of the fine woven cases for the 15PM and gave Apple the benefit of the doubt since they always make great products. I’ve found the fine woven case to be slightly too slippery. My only gripe with that case. Currently using an Apple silicone case until I find a nice leather alternative. Thanks for the video on this topic

I bounce between the Benks and the Nomad case. I love them both but I will say the Benks is exceptionally nice although not leather to your point.

I ordered the black Mujjo case on Sunday, and unexpectedly got it in the mail today. I really like the feel of it. Definitely quite similar to Apple's leather cases.
where did you order it? It's unavailable until mid of december 2023.
@@SunnyFLBoy Direct from their website. It said preorder for me too, but it unexpectedly was delivered a few days later after I placed the order. Even when I checked the order status a day or two after the order it said expected to ship mid Dec. If you want is, I would just go ahead and order it.
My 14 pro max black leather case is still in perfect condition so I decided to "retrofitted" it to fit my new 15 PM. Not having an action button doesn't bother me.
I currently have the midnight and sequoia green leather cases for my 13 pro max. I love the cases.
If I buy the 16 pro next year, It’s going to be the Andar Aspen for me. I love Bullstrap but I wished they would cover the bottom part.
Andar is a good choice. I agree on bottom of the phone not being covered.
I wanted to like Mujjo’s case, as I love the smell & feel of their leather. However the back edges are just far too sharp to hold in my hand comfortably.
I found another company called Keyway. Their leather is top of the line and it only comes in at $48 USD. They based in Canada and took exactly 2 days for them to ship from Canada to US. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fordable case. Cheapest and best quality.
I bought a full leather apple iPhone 15 case off eBay, i don’t think it’s really made by apple, but it’s a damn good fake has branding and everything. I’ve always gotten apple brand leather cases on prior models and I can’t tell the difference on this one, the packaging is close to identical and the feel of the case is the same. It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s the same manufacturer that lost apples business still making them for the 15 under their radar. I’m a happy camper.

Bullstrap wins. Hands down! The leather they use is far superior than any others used💯💯💯
Andar Aspen is definitely where it’s at! It’s full wrap premium leather that you can feel (and smell), clicky metal buttons (including the Action button now), it fits the phone like a glove, it’s got raised bevel around screen/camera, and a nice selection of colors. I looked at all these brands, and I am so glad that I settled on the Andar Aspen.

Is the alto thin like the apple leather?
I’m curious to know whether a full camera lens cover, one that encompasses not just the lens but also its surrounding square area, would be compatible with a Mujjo phone case. This query stems from the fact that the Peak Design case fails to accommodate the iPhone 15 Pro Max when it’s equipped with such a comprehensive lens cover. So, yes I waste Peak Design case and now rocking with Casetify case and Nomad Horween leather that fit perfectly for my use case. Understanding the fit and compatibility between these accessories is crucial for optimal protection and functionality of the device.
Just be careful when choosing PeakDesign case especially if your iphone has full camera lens cover installed as it cannot fit and i wasted on it 😢

I have the FineWoven case and while it feels cheaper than leather, it’s holding up surprisingly well! I also have the Nomad Horween leather case. The leather is lovely, but it makes my iPhone feel huge and bulky, so I never use it.

I tried many of them and gave up as none of them are as good as Apple's leather (shame on Apple!) They either feel cheap or the buttons are trash. Since I can't stand Fine Woven, I went with Light Blue Silicone and it grew on me. I love it now!

Hi, I was looking for a video like this on YT. I am looking to get a leather case that is high quality, has metal buttons, is lightweight (less than 30g), and has a color that goes well with my natural titanium iPhone 15 Pro Max. Do any of those cases you showed off weigh less than 30g? I have always had the Pro phone, so I am trying to reduce the weight as much as possible.
I don't care for external branding, but most do it.

I grew up in Chicago when the stockyards still operated and it was, in the poet Carl Sandburg's famous words, "Hog butcher for the world." ( _Chicago,_ 1914)
Did I say “more traditional?” In the video? Horween is the more traditional leather that shows wear versus the more “finished” leather that doesn’t wear as much and looks like new longer

Like most normals, and everyone in my Starbucks Coffee group I put a case on my Apple iPhone's. I purchased on Amazon Alphex Invisible Stand Magnetic for iPhone 15 Pro Case, Compatible with MagSafe, Official Color Match for iPhone, 12FT Military Grade Shockproof Phone Cover 6.1 inch, Natural Titanium, Grey. It is clear on the back, and love the GQ look with my new Apple iPhone 15 Pro Blue Titanium.
My Apple iPhone came out of the box directly into the case. This is where it will live for the next five, or more years unless I replace the case with a new style. Have a third party leather case on my now backup Apple iPhone 11 Pro.
Disappointed. Vaja Cases have the most premium leather that patinas superbly yet they haven't even been mentioned here.
Vaja charges ridiculous prices for shipping. There leather was ok but not great if you live on the other side of the world I guess vaja might be a better option

Warning: DECODED sells poor quality leather that peels after a month of use. It arrived with factory errors. Despite indicating that they give a 2-year guarantee, when you write to them they do not respond.

Finewoven is trash, Apple should have just figured out a better way to recycle or eliminate the plastics.
We all understand why Apple discontinued the leather products, and we all know it has nothing to do with nature or eco.

if Apple wants to be eco they should mak make their phones last and be easily repairable.
This is not the case and will be harder than ever due to the deliberate choices on Apple's side.
It was a iPhone leather case review. Half of them weren’t leather. And 10 cases was a lot.
So it’s a review where you going to tell us your favorite and why.
Nope, just that you like almost all of them.
Yeah, apart from environmental reasons, it forms a patina and smells weird if there’s high moisture content in the area.
Leather is supposed to form good patina but only with care with special oils, lotions, or conditioners for leather, which most people won’t do. So Apple put on a thin silicone coating on the newer leather cases, which still wares off but only on the edges and corners and the patina pattern is just bad. The newer leather cases requires some sanding and leather conditioner to make them look good. With conditioners, leather also does not smell as oil protects it from the moisture.
