I didn't realize so many pple are actually out looking for reviews on these types of books, I have many but I didn't know it was a thing on youtube for this type of content, but very thankful because I've been wondering what next book on tarot to get but i want a good chunky full of wisdom book with some goodies as new tarot spells to conquer...Much thanks & blessing to you for all these reviews..
Things have come a long way over the decades. There are some good books you mentioned today, going on the ever growing list. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. My top picks would be Melissa Cynova's 5 readings to reset your life, it's a lovely one for someone learning to read in a time of crisis, so comforting and has card meanings in the back. Ethonys court card book 'Your Tarot Court' is fab, I love her watching TV court card bingo. Really helped me get to know the courts in my deck. I did Susan T Changs Living Tarot course and her Tarot Correspondences book is amazing if you want to learn magical practice with cards. I recently bought Walt Amberstones secret language of the tarot and the RWS symbolism unpacked in that is great, mountains, water, pillars, things I may not have noticed much before.
Missed most of this live but catching up now. I've got far too many tarot books and the Encyclopedias, one signed by Stuart Kaplan. I do read them from time to time but looking forwards to letting some go when I move. I am a book person so some of the oldest ones are close to my heart. Yes I have accidentally bought doubles, often tho car boot

Many thanks for making this video. Would you be able to recommend which book would be good for my 15 year old daughter who is now getting an interest for tarot. She is a complete beginner and she has now asked if she could have a tarot deck for Christmas and I would like to add a book as one of her pressies. Many thanks xxx
I know this is and older post, but try Eden Greys The Tarot Revealed and Mastering the Tarot. After that Spiritual Tarot compares the RWS, Morgan Greer, and Aquarian decks and its by Signe E. Echols ,Robert Mueller,and Sandra A Thompson. Comparing these 3 decks was invaluable for me in learning the symbols and the RWS system. This got me to the point where I didn't really need the books anymore : )
@@caveman3021 Many thanks for your reply. I've only just seen it x. In the end I bought my daughter the Crystal Bible last Yule. This year I'm looking for a good Spreads book for her. I'm tempted with 365 Spreads as shown in Simon's video x

Aloha! Since I’m assuming that Simon is sleeping I’ll jump in and answer... the deck he uses at the end is the Roots&Wings Oracle. I just adore that deck 🥰
Books, books & more books on my fav subject with one of my fav RUclipsrs! What's not to love! 😁💖 However I wish to point out a MAJOR glitch/error/mistake in Mary K Greer's 21 ways to read the Tarot (atleast in the copy I have) so basically in the Archetypal Motifs Chart (it starts from page 265) THE SUN card is MISSING in the table & it is so so sad to see this in an otherwise good book!
Holistic Tarot at times felt a bit more like a reconciliation effort between Western and Eastern astrology than a guide to tarot. Which is fine, but dressing that interpretation up as the definitive guide to tarot is a tad disingenuous.
