Pat, this started a long, long time ago. My grandmother in 1995, when I was 8 talked about everything you covered in a different light. Of course we didn't have smart phones, but the foundation was laid already. The destruction of healthy values and self discipline had begun. What we are seeing now is the mental illness in youth in application. They have engineered a population easy to control, and less tolerant of discomfort.

Yep and personally I want nothing to do with these people on the other side, cancel culture, anti masculinity, moral outrage. Lazy people, boring people, bored people. I want nothing to do with them, I dont even want them looking at me nevermind speaking to me(at me). Thank God I was insipired to walk out from so called civilized society. For any youngsters or guys in their 20s, know this, money is the divide. Get some cash and get the F out of the cities/suburbs.

Woodrow Wilson and the “powers that be” negotiated the sellout of the United States in 1913 when he signed the federal reserve act. Go and read quotes from Bernays, Woodrow Wilson, etc. They believe they deserve to rule over us and that’s why all of the presidents are from the same bloodline. They want to bring about the beast system and the anti messiah.

Absolutely nailed it. As a young man who grew up and went through high school just before the advent of smart phones, Tik Tok, and a complete saturation of marketing with woke rhetoric I am so thankful that did not impact my formative years. The youth of today are in trouble and they don't even know it

Pat and I talked about this at a class a few years ago. I brought up the commercial that was running at the time where 2 teenage boys were stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire and almost in tears because their mom's insurance didn't have roadside assistance and neither of them knew what a lug wrench was. We have multiple generations now that have been raised by "parents" that I wouldn't let watch my dog. Without exposure to better role models, these new generations will be our downfall. Men are free today to be weak, inept, and afraid in ways their ancestors were not.

One of the things that made me fall in love with my wife was going over to pick her up one Saturday in high school, when she was 16, and finding her changing the oil in her father's car. She knew I was coming over, but went ahead and did it herself, because that was one of her jobs at the house.

The younger generations you're talking about are also the first to live in a worse off country and have less opportunity than their parents since the founding of the country! So where's YOUR responsibility in this? Why didn't you at least pass on what you were given? I'm so sick and tired of older generations saying millennials and younger are weak and lazy and so on when it's YOU'RE generations responsibility to raise these people. More destruction has happened under the control of the boomer generation than any other! Take some ownership in the fact that you most likely failed your children and left them worse off than you were by your parents!

I am a high school teacher in a major U.S. city. Students are on their phones, and misusing school issued computers all day in their classes. They are playing games, watching tv, videos, texting and scrolling through countless memes. All norms of behavior of decency and courtesy have broken down. Kids use extreme profanity in front of teachers knowing there are no consequences. Teachers, administrators and deans are hopelessly overwhelmed. Kids are complete indifferent and nihilistic about learning, playing sports or participating in any activities inside or outside of school. Parents no longer have any control over their kids, and in many cases fear them. Attendance is abhorrent and many students have 60 or more unexcused absences per year. Administrators and teachers are under severe pressure never to fail a students, risking their careers if they do so. It is now considered a violation of a students civil rights to suspend, or fail a student. Every year we graduate hundreds of students who can barely read or do arithmetic, and are completely lacking in foundational skills necessary to find and keep a job. This problem is going on through out schools across the country. It is a terrifying and staggering problem that in the long run I do not know if in the long run are country can sustain.

The passion with which Mac was describing his frustration was spot on. Mac was talking about how today's young children are being raised by electronic devices. Well, think about this, the parents of those kids are kids of people born in the 1960s and early 70s. where did their values come from? I was born in 1960, is my generation somehow to blame for the way today's parents raise their kids? In fact, I know many people of my generation that are completely addicted to their phones, how does that happen? I have a flip phone and refuse to get sucked into the social media plaque. Call me a dinosaur if you wish but prefer to have my human interactions in person. DJ and Mac keep preaching the gospel of humanity!..Im with you 100%!!

So true all of it. As humbling as it is we can’t play god we only can hope our children and ourselves can live a long happy life but we can’t take an pill every time we don’t like how we feel. Plus play rough, get dirty, win fights , lose fights u need to feel it all and no matter what don’t give up.

I was born in '99 so I've grown up as the phone technology has just skyrocketed and when I was a child I used to think "Damn I wish I could have a phone too already" or whatever and my parents kept saying, "No, only once you reach highschool" and man am I so grateful they did. Coz I still actually ended up having a childhood, I loved playing in the garden, I loved building all kinds of stuff with my Lego out of my imagination since we couldn't afford the fancier toys all my friends had... And since leaving college, you really can tell who grew up alongside you with gaming consoles etc and who grew up in their gardens... So glad to have been exposed to the Basic Dude Stuff since early childhood via my dad and grandfathers!🤟

A few weeks ago I was walking near a park full of apparatus for kids. A child, about 3 years old was playing on a curb with two sticks. Laughing and having fun. Dad was watching him. I said life is good when that is entertainment. Dad laughed and agreed. Dad was watch the kid play, not on any electronic crap. Good fun. 🇺🇸

I was exposed to technology and video games when I was in 7th grade until 12th grade. And it massively impacted my social skills. I was such a weirdo, because I didn’t understand social interaction. I just played video games all day.
I realized this and joined the military and became a cop and really forced myself out of my comfort zone. But I still feel like I’m catching up to people my age as far as socialization.

I’m 67. I babysat for a single mom today. Two boys, 10 and 12. They watched RUclips, a hosted video game of someone pushing people off cliffs, then laughs, men hitting women, more laughs, etc. They both have ADHD. No dad around. One is smart and understands, one just lives in the moment, making silly sounds, and asking silly questions.
They brought their own food, popcorn, chips, and a hotdog to reheat.

I’m only 19 and see it all around me. I’m not much a video gamer compared to my middle schooo days. Now, I often use my PC etc to do self-learning. Aside from that, I do my own landscaping, I do construction projects with my dad around the house and yard and I really am pushing for a trade career for to get into my own landscaping/construction of some sort business because I just can’t do it online. Everyone wants to do online this or rhat and it’s great to do online WORK… I do online work and read up on things that I’m trying to learn, but unlike my friends I can’t do the Tik Tok and social medias. I have an Instagram page, but I use it for my landscaping that I’m doing. It is a very bizarre thing seeing people just glued to the screen. I’m really trying to do things that aren’t screen related unless I am doing my reading up etc. HELL, I can’t even remember the lsst time I turned on my tv and it sits in my room.
