Sorry for the shaky camera but it was on the collapsed tripod and it's easier to use that way when trying to shoot this all in one shot like I did. Also forgot the mention that this solution *should* apply to any of the Midway boards that use the TL084CN op amp - MK1 (has two of them), MK2, MK3, all of the Wolf Units, Strike Force, Total Carnage, Smash TV, etc.
My original MK2 board set has always had a little bit of this. I changed out the filter capacitor years ago and it never helped. I have a couple of spare MK1 sound boards. Think I'll rob an op amp off of one of those to switch out and see if it fixes the MK2 sound interference. Thanks for the tip.
Awesome work there mike it always amazes me how you can have 2 of the same parts with different manufacturers and one will be solid the other inferior part or damaged will be noisy and a lot cheaper to buy lol

I have a UMK3 board that when it boots and goes into attract mode it says midway presents and skips the UMK3 screen where shao kahn laughs and it goes straight into the quick cuts of the characters fighting. board works great other wise. Have you ever seen this?
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair It is 1.2. What’s weird is if I plug it in my mK1 it shows up. I thought it might be a weird voltage problem but I checked and they are locked in.

Hmm. Switch test in the menu show any stuck buttons?

If I had to guess, it's a Midway release. That's most likely the case.
