    You know, for a film that was considered arguably the greatest movie ever made, there sure wasn't a whole lot of hype or fanfare in the adverts for Star Wars back in 1977

    But, actually - listening to these brings back an unmistakable sense of the world at that time, it's really amazing how clearly things are stored in your memory!

    I was born 12/22/77. I guess these were the first commercials I ever seen.

      Um.... at one day old you would not have been watching TV.... Try 1983, then you would be old enough to remember TV commercials.

    I was in the 11th grade, it was a hazy time because my brother had schizophrenia and we were trying to get help, which, back then was a bit harder..

    I hope y'all will reply to this at 5:04 saying Happy Holidays was Verne Lundquist the sportscaster for WFAA 8 later he'd be at CBS Sports where he'd have a great career when there were great plays he'd say oh my goodness!

    I loved “What’s Happening?” But the weight jokes made at Fred Berry’s expense were disgraceful. Very sad 😢
