You do realise that there are many more positive display models for this Rangeman, and you can still buy the original model, which also happens to have a positive display.
The japanese model has a carbon fiber insert and yellow rubber under the band. Really love the colorway, if i hadn't bought the white one I'd sure get this one.
Analogue frogman might be polarising and not true to its origin for the purists, but it's still a fantastic watch. How Casio managed to make so many functions work for it, without any digital displays, is truly amazing.
I get that everyone has different opinions. For me, the concept of a "shock proof" watch that also has analog/mechanical parts just doesn't jive with me. Just my 2 cents.
@@giofrancofer Your statement is contradictory. If the only difference is the bracelet, then why would it be worth it for double the price? One could easily get some adapters and other straps to pimp up the non-JDM version, instead of wasting money on a carbon fiber band.
I love the functions. I am just not able to wear a watch that big. I have a MudMaster I use very rarely for specific needs.i inherited my mother’s bone structure.😆
Did you even tried it? GW9400 Rangeman is smaller than new GWG-2000 Mudmaster which is smaller than older GWG1000. Rangeman is not that big. Mudmasters are big.
@@dyslexicbien This watch doesn't have a battery. It's solar. And it's a new model, so no one's (solar)battery should be worn out due to years of usage.
Happens on my positive display g shock. For a while I thought it was an issue of leaving it in the sun for too long but it seems others have this problem too. I'd say as long as you can still tell what time it is, you're probably alright.

Turning the watch industry upside down
If G-Shock fans believed in that philosophy, then Casio would have gone bankrupt years ago.
Finally a Rangeman with a positive display, it looks great.
Like stated: out since 2013, maybe drink less beer Mr. Camel 😋
A negative display is not (a) positive.

That colourway is nice. I have the black one with red accents and positive display. It is my daily driver at the moment.

It's a bit colorful but I like it. If those were orange highlights, I'd've lost my mind.
The display is better than my gw-9400j-1jf and I just picked that up yesterday 😅
Thanks for the info and discount code. I picked one up!
I want one this so bad. I'm going on vacation to Japan this summer...might buy it there!
Love the new Pointer!🤘😅
I bought the same Rangeman a few weeks ago a month i Guess it's an amazing watch
I think I like this better than the Japanese version with the two-tone strap
I'd say go for the JDM version. It's even cooler with the two tone Carbon fiber strap. That's what I did.
Not worth the extra costs.
For me it was a nice short tutorial, thanks! 😅

I got the japanese version. Man this watch is so cool
What's the model number of the Japanese version?

check out the Japan version GW-9400YJ-1JF It has a yellow CF band.
Greg Anderson has a YT channel and covers in depth details of the Rangemaster he just purchased. Just came out yesterday.
He has the best tutorial about this watch on RUclips.
@@StardustLegacyFighter watchgeek is even better. 2 videos about an hour in total.
cool love it
I wish all the yellow colors are the same yellow instead of dark yellow on the face and lighter yellow on buttons.
Can you change the date format to DD/MM like on the "U"pdated sqares?
Nope, only the U squares have that.

It's definitely worth trying one out.
You could always send it back if it doesn't fit.
Haha, hard earned money. I'm watching this video at work.
Work hard buy watches lol.
Nice review
Are the alarms really loud enough to wake you up? None of my G Shocks have ever been that good!
When you look at it from different angles does the display seem to fade? Mine looks like the digits fade out in some angles
Try to change the batteries. It might be lowbatt

I'm trying to decide between calling this color scheme "Bumble Bee" or "US Divers 1980s".
Any old scuba-dogs out there like me will know what I mean.
Very nice looking watch, Just a little too bulky
look the pensil touch screen watch 😅
