  • Miele Dishwashers are being thrown away beacause the Spray Arm feed pipe Thermoplastic elastomer rots (the flexible end bit) and the pipes are no longer available. So here is a something I put together to rescue the dishwasher.
If you need a set then please see ebay listing: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134039864284

You're a eco warrior of the first order!
So many people miss the reduce and re-use phases of the 3Rs.
Buying a well built machine that will last decades and repairing it at you go is so so the greenest option.
I do hope people with Miele machines or the people they go to when they do break become aware of your repair kit.

Thanks. Some have been saved already, the buyers say how sad they are to scrap the machine and are now equally happy to a find a solution.

Yes I have plenty of the large and small boots but now the customer needs to supply own pipe clips. (AKA Jubilee clips) . Many preferred to do so. The staff at my business ship internationally most days.

Someone paid a lot of money for a high end miele so that it would last longer than a cheap unit. Yet...they got burned.

They are good value and great quality machines but it is a shame that they retire spares. How is it good for the environment of we throw otherwise a complete functional appliances because the part that fails the most is no longer available? There should be a law. If you need a part they have to supply it at a reasonable cost.

    Hi Mr. Razenby:
Do you still have any 19mm and 25mm tubing available for the Miele? Interested.
If not any advice/specs on where to obtain?
    Thanks

It seems a lot but 100M sample of each was as cheap as 10M as they had to set up the extrusion die. The manufacturer had the extrusion die but had never used it for silicone. I needed a s flexible gauge to enable it to deform be used as a boot. I have sold a bunch already so 1% has sold in couple of days. I can sell it to repair most dishwashers with split spray arm feed pipe boots.

it's almost like the manufacturer used that material so it would fail.
I don't trust any company to have morels.
Ive seen too many things fail because of dodgy design.

That pipe bay have been in service for 15 years or so. These Mieles are built like brick sh*t houses. There is no sign of anything else giving up the ghost on the other parts. She is a tight ship with a leak to the bilge..

@@razenby Ooow i didn't know it was that old, i shall slap myself with a wet fish, mind you i might like that lol.
I was thinking the drain pipe from a washing machine might be handy for patching up the original tube, or maybe not.
When frends ask me if i have something i mentally scan the shed for common stuff that could be modified.
A frend had to make a thick felt washer for a car, i pulled an old printer apart and removed the waste ink sponge/felt.
There was a clean part of the felt, did the job :-D
I imagine you might be similar, if im not insulting you.
