      Did you got mail for ModernHire interview?

    • @AnishLearnsToCode
      @AnishLearnsToCode  Год назад

      When i applied, at that time CERN was using a different platform called SONRU, and now they have changed to ModernHire, but the principle is still the same. They are still using video interviews. It's the exact same thing, just a different company.

    Hi there! Can you give a hint when the interviews happen for the November end selection committee this year? I have applied for the Electrical Engineering departments and was wondering until how long should I be hopeful to get an interview call.

    • @AnishLearnsToCode
      @AnishLearnsToCode  2 года назад

      Well first of all if your application is complete you will be invited for SONRU interview. after the SONRU interview there's no guarantee. You could be invited, you could not be maybe ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it could even take upto a month to get an interview call.

    Hi! Great video, I am planning to apply to the Technical Studentship. My question is, how did that preparation help you in the interview? Did they actually make you programm any design pattern, for example?

    Hi there, is JavaScript good enough to apply for technical student program at CERN?

    • @AnishLearnsToCode
      @AnishLearnsToCode  2 года назад +1

      Well there are no specific language requirements for the Technical Student program. You can have experience with any language. Also, each team has it's own needs, they will have different tech stack and also knowing core DS + Algo is much more important than knowing the syntax of any language.
      If you are good at problem solving/ Algo + DS, you can learn any language you want.

    Hi! Thank you for your video.
    I got a mail from CERN for the SONRU interview. I had applied for a Technical Internship.
    Could you please tell me how can I prepare for this interview?

    • @AnishLearnsToCode
      @AnishLearnsToCode  2 года назад +1

      There is an option in SONRU for a trial run just to check your microphone and video camera. I highly suggest that you take the trial run once and then you will also get some sample questions. Those sample questions will give you an idea of what are the type of questions that can be expected.

    Hi bhaiya. I’m going to start my college this fall for ug in mechanical engineering (from some NIT probably), so can you please give me some tips which would boost my profile. ( also doing BSc data science and programming from IIT Madras- online )

    • @AnishLearnsToCode
      @AnishLearnsToCode  3 года назад +1

      well, just be a strong programmer with good fundamentals, so focus on basic things like data structures and algorithms and core concepts of dbms, os etc. and I can't gaurantee cern but overall you should be fine, you'll get something or the other and it will be good.

      @@AnishLearnsToCode Thanks. I’ll definitely try to keep these points in mind. Also from all the interview experience videos I’ve seen it can be deduced that even CERN can’t guarantee you a place at CERN lol( unique selection process ).

      yup, its a team at CERN that will select you, not CERN in its entirety.

    Hey Anish, How do I prepare for the SONRU interview

    • @AnishLearnsToCode
      @AnishLearnsToCode  Год назад

      They ask very generic questions for the CERN Fellowship program so you just need to practice generic questions like Why do you want to work here ? What kind of environment you like working in etc. ?

  • @user-qi2vh7ye4w
    @user-qi2vh7ye4w 3 месяца назад

    Could you kindly share the questions that were asked during your fellowship interview?

    • @AnishLearnsToCode
      @AnishLearnsToCode  3 месяца назад

      It was a long interview, almost 1 hour. They asked me basic DSA questions related to binary tree structure. They also asked behavioural questions like how I would respond in different situations etc.
      Having said that, there is no standard interview process at CERN. All teams have there own style/process etc. so it can't be generalised.
