Bought mine last week(2023 520 foot shift) cannot wait for it to be delivered!!! Getting better tires installed... it is bogland where I live... We still have an 82 200, 85 200M and an 86 Big Red and they still work on the farm... unbelievable reliability if you maintain them...
Have you experienced any issues with the shifter being ( sticky or difficult to engage ?) I saw some other video where the guy said the transmission takes a while to warm up and the foot shift lever was hard to put into gear when it’s cold … but that the only person on the internet that I’ve heard that from. . Thanks for your input .
I’m looking at these right now ( that’s why I’m here researching them and trying to gather information from videos like this ) I don’t need IRS , I’m not buying it for a toy to trail ride ( although it can serve well for that purpose too ) but , I have dirt bikes for playing on the trails . I’m looking for a little workhorse for household / hunting chores and maybe a little snow plowing , so the solid axle is a definite plus. I actually like the red , but the green will suffice if red isn’t available. The only other option I would choose is the EPS …I think it has its advantages in tight technical terrain and would probably reduce fatigue in muddy terrain or on longer rides .
The foreman is great for what your describing to do. You can get a foreman with power steering. I wouldn’t say you need it unless your gonna be on it all day on rough terrain
Did you get the non power steering model? I have a power steering Rubicon but I'm ready to upgrade and want a straight axle foreman. The dealership near me has one but they want $9500 for it. That's insane.
@@FAFO_24 I have the 2021 foot shift non power steering bought brand new for $6900 in April of 21’ never thought I’d pay msrp but that’s the world we’re in right now. If I was to do it again I’d spend the extra money and get power steering, that was in Manchester New Hampshire by the way, drove 2 hours to pick it up.
Just bought a 2023 a couple days ago...This model in green..I've owned quite a few ATVs over the years, and I chose Honda this time because they are just bullet proof....Plenty of rigs out there with more fluff and gizmos, but few will out last the honda....As one reviewer put it years ago, " If you had to circumnavigate the globe, and you just had to make it, which machine should you buy? .....Answer......The Honda"...
Overall do you think this Foreman 520 is better than the Honda Rancher 4x4? Obviously, it depends what you need it for but overall...is it worth the extra grand for the Foreman?
I have had both and I prefer the Foreman. Rancher would do anything I needed it to but the foreman does it better. Hauls loads better. It's has more cc and is geared lower. Plus the foreman comes with a headlight on the handle bars.
@John Chilton glad you said so. I ran out of time and had to get one, so I chose the Foreman. It also has the 12v outlet, which is a plus. I can't say I had a real life scenario to compare the two, but the true differential lock is on the Foreman and I feel that's the heavy hitter between them both.
I’m in the market. I’m leaving towards a 2024 fourtrax foreman 4x4. I’ve never owned a quad. Does eps make a difference? I really don’t want to spend the money now but if it does help I wouldn’t mind paying for it later on. Any info would help. Thank you!
Hi. Just bought my first atv today. It’s the 2023 Honda Foreman TRX520. It has the foot shifter. I find I have to let go of the throttle and let the mph go down to around 10mph before it’ll let me shift up. Even when I’m going from 3rd to 4th for example. Is this normal??? Seems weird. Thank you!
I found that if you just start it and let it idle for 5ish minutes before riding it shifts fine. I was having the issue when I would take off immediately. Others shared similar stories.
I have a 2020 and for some reason the gears don’t change on a cold start. I have to pull the pedal with my hand to change but it works just fine after you change all 5 gears 1 time around.
That’s normal it’s usually because of the clutches and the oil temp from the motor. If you let it warm up a minute before hand you shouldn’t have any issues it’s common for when they are cold:

Enjoy!! I got a 93 Fourtrax Love it!
The 86 Big Red is worth $2000 more than what Dad spent in 85... just great bikes...
Hondas are bullet proof. It’s all I’ve ridden all my life.
Old ones were, new ones are full of issues
Absolutely love my ‘21 foreman 520 foot shift. Knew I would, my family has always had Honda ATVS, you can’t beat them
I have a 2022 foot shift and I love it
I bought a dark Forrest green 2024 Honda Foreman 520 footshift. Very happy with it . Great torque.

Very cool. A quad with foot shift and diff lock. Very rare now a days if not the only one. Thanks for the video

Just got mine yesterday it’s identical. It’s nice and very peppy.

Love my foreman and foot shift! Way a atv should be!
I have a 2023 rubicon love the machine but for what I do it’s to typsy, I will be buying rear axle foreman for sure
Got 22Rub footshift w27” Mud Lite2. Never need brakes going down steep hilla
Straight axel is fine but I wish they would go with disc brake in the rear.
Great video thank you 💯👍👍

I have the 2023 version but it's similar. Question, what is the right foot side clutch for?
That’s a foot brake for the rear. Not a clutch no clutch on them.
Any ideas on how to get more horsepower out of these Hondas?

do they run hot like a yamaha?

@@BrickNick931 funny we don't have that issue with a CVT. Lol
Is there any way to get the power steering option with standard foot shift?
Yes. It's $700 extra. It unfortunately only comes in green, red, or camouflage. If you get the camo, it's an additional $500
Where is the choke located? I'm having trouble starting mine in cold weather, thanks
No choke on the new ones lol all fuel injected
How do you select reserve for the fuel?
I have called every dealer around and cant find one in my area
Call a Yamaha or canam dealer you'll be happier and out riding asap
Nice video , I'm close to buying my first atv ever and I know it's gonna be a honda rancher or formen I'm so torn between the two
Hello can you please Review the Bennche utvs?
Unless you can get me one, I don’t have access to them at the dealer I work with
Where in the love of god is the best spot to put the reg plate??
Put it on a Yamaha or a canam where it belongs. Not this pos
Still waiting for mine XD
Will finally get mine next Monday, after nearly a year of wait. Of course, its a 2023 model. Can't wait anymore !!
There is 3 foreman models
Correct you can get a EPS with foot shift as well
Jesus Christ loves the person reading this comment
No
This 520 isn't best in any class. Lol
In the class reliable workhorse
cf moto 500 way better!!
Yea right
Chink crap?dont think so.
@@jamesconerly1039 you have no idea!!
Cfmoto and Polaris are about the only 2 brands that aren't better than Honda
2 different things, this is a reliable workhorse
ES is the way to go
CVT is actually the way to go
Why are you looking at a Honda video?
