Yeah... I don't think it will be a problem though. Jon father was a Targaryen but he has never had a connection to the family. It's not really part of his identity like it is with Daenerys. Finding out Rhaegar was his father will give him closure. Ned was his dad though. And Gendry didn't really know his and Jon doesn't seem like the type to hold grudges like that.
Anybody else damn tired of waiting for Bran to do something awesome and useful with his new powers? So much time was spent on his journey up north, so many characters suffered and died, and now he just sits around and says creepy stuff to everyone... He really needs to go warg a dragon, or tell Jon about ancient forgotten secret defenses from the white walkers, or drop an avalanche on them or something, just to prove it wasn't a complete waste.
I gotta say I was a bit dissapointed that Jamie and bronn just swam away.. I spent a lot of time last week thinking about what would happen if he was captured as a prisoner, that would make everything really complicated, because Tyrion is on Danerys side and so on.. So felt kinda dumb that they just got away even though both Tyrion and Danerys saw him charging the dragon.
Maybe she thought he was roasted and turned into ashes by drogon, after all drogon did move his head and danny didnt saw jamie getting roasted, tyrion did see how jamie got away with bronn and didnt report it, thats why he made plans to meet both. Danny didn't know who jamie was and just regarded the attacker as a random highborn. After all it was a battlefield, lots of lannisters are there, after jamies attack, she had to deal with other stuff.
Book 5 has a lot to do with characters the show leave out (understandably, if they included everything it would take like 30 seasons to tell it all), so season 5 already had a lot of new content. Season 6 was pretty much entirely written by D&D (the producers) and so is season 7.
I like how Danny burned a bunch of Lannister soldiers alive with her fire-breathing dragons and then she was like "I'm not here to burn people alive with my fire-breathing dragons" and after that she was like "But bend the knee or I'll burn you alive with my fire-breathing dragons" and then she burnt some guys alive with her fire-breathing dragons.
When your most fearsome weapon is a trio of fire breathing dragons, you are going to use your fire breathing dragons. That way, people will say, "Don't mess around with her. She has fire breathing dragons!"
@orfeas we all know she meant "I'm not here to kill....unless I have to" don't take it so literally and in context its kinda implied or something I don't know the word for it. Its like when your parents are summoned to the principals office and they say "I'm not here to judge you"
The Eagles wouldn't have worked in Lotr's. They would have been spotted from miles away by Sauron. They would have been intercepted by the Nine, shot down and killed. Losing the ring in the process. Also the top of mount doom isn't really open straight down, the only way to destroy the ring was at the crack of mount doom (ha, crack...) yeah, where Sauron forged the ring. To get there one had to go through the entrance on the side of the mountain. That means a passenger on the eagle that can contend with the ring, aka Frodo. And since they would have been spotted from miles away by either Sauron's spies or by sauron himself who's a "GREAT EYE!!!", the entrance would have been guarded by plenty of his most powerful forces.
Eagles would get corrupted by the ring. Frodo only lasted as long as he did because he's a Hobbit and does not crave power the way other races do. Both Gandalf and the Eagles are Maiar and Gandalf stated at the start of Fellowship that he cannot take the ring because it will corrupt him, so the same could be said about the Eagles. Hobbits only
Well... they would have gotten a great headstart into Mordor that way anyhows... :D You DID see how the Eagles just beat the shit out of the Nine, right?
"the same reason the eagles don't fly Frodo to Mount Doom in Lord of the Rings" Yeah, lets fly a couple hobbits into the heart of the enemies territory carrying the most powerful weapon on them, while 9 Nazgul are flying around guarding the place. Good idea...
the eagles took pretty good care of the Nazgul when they fought them. i think they did not even suffer a scratch in the few seconds it took them to take over the air.
It so annoying, that people always point out that Frodo could have used the eagles. THAT would have been a stupid idea. Sauron would have spotted them easily and the Nazgul would have taken them apart with their DRAGONS. To be as secret as possible was their best bet. Lotr is pretty logical, especially of course the books. Tolkiens depiction of battles in the books is actually more realistic than some of GRRM depictions.
Completely agree, sick of hearing "But the eagles lol" Lets not even get into the fact that the Eagles aren't horses to be rode whenever people want, they have their own way of doing things and aren't down with casually carrying a bunch of folks all the way across Middle Earth. They probably only helped at the end cus they realized it was quite literally the final fight.
Etmund Taramber But with a proper distraction it would have worked easily. Like an attack at the black gate. Radagast and Gandalf could have convinced the eagles for sure.
@@MortredMaul Sauron almost saw Frodo and Sam walking through Mordor even with the Black Gate as a distraction, I'm pretty sure the Eagles would have been seen miles off ad dispatched.
@@wtxcrazydonut Doubt it. Let's assume you're right. Throw in a second attack on Dol Guldur and fly them in from the south. GG There is no denying this logic for sure. The only difficulty would be for Gandalf to convince Rohan, Gondor and the Elves to join in the feint. You have to get rid of Saruman before so I agree on that point. It would not be too easy.
So how Bronn managed to pull out Jaime out of water? Jaime is wearing full plate armor (possibly of gold, but that would be ultra stupid on the battlefield, so lets assume its only gold plated). They managed to swim whole lake (battle is on the other side) and Jaime was in a bit of shock. This defies logic almost as much as Euron's instant travels and whole bending of time-and-space continuum in season 7.
Kagemusha91 you know what else defies logic? Fire breathing dragons, ice zombies, baby shadow demons, and the lord of light resurrections. Bunch of shit in this show defies logic and that won’t be changing anytime soon man. Why not enjoy it instead of questioning every little detail.
@@NoahHunterGamble That's a weak argument. Game of Thrones might posit that magic is real, but physics on the show is still grounded in reality. That said, all this time Jamie's been walking around and riding like his armor's not hampering his movement. It's obvious that it's not that heavy like a suit of armor would be. Seems more decorative than anything else which makes sense historically. Knights didn't walk around in suits of armor, that was for horseback. "Armor" for fighting troops was boiled leather.
Early on, anybody that made just a couple mistakes ended up dead... Starks in particular. Now, our main characters keep making incredibly stupid mistakes, all the Starks, Lanisters, etc, and they all miraculously keep surviving. It's really not the same show, today, that it was.
It does make somewhat more sense, in a way. First of all everyone's making stupid mistakes that could kill but since they're all making those mistakes, no one is capitalizing on them. Also as the end nears every house is getting more and more suspicious and wearisome of eachother, meaning that they're all going to do stupid shit out of paranoia and panic. I mean I can understand why people don't support the late show as much as they did the show earlier on, but even in context of the story it makes a bit of sense.
There could be months or years between episodes , or even in episodes. They don't tell us how much time has passed, but the bullshit part is in episode 6. I won't spoil it but it's just a complete lack of screenwriting.
Travel speed was worse in 5 than in 6. In five Davos went from Dragonstone to Kings Landing to The Wall in the span of one episode. In six the only really bothersome travel speed was, and spoilers ahead: The raven flying to Dragonstone to alert Dany. Gendry's sprint back to the wall isn't too unlikely considering that their journey from the wall mostly took place in a blizzard, so it would make sense for them not to advance too far ahead, and I don't know how fast dragons _can_ fly but Dany making her way beyond the wall from Dragonstone in the span of those hours the group were stranded isn't that bad.
*SPOILER ALERT* In episode 6 nothing much happens, Arya and Sansa argue, Sansa finds Arya's faces, Jon goes north, they capture a wight, after that they see a storm so they tell gendry to go back to eatwatch (he does) and send a letter to Daenerys, We cut to a scene where tyrion and daenerys talk about jon snow(its hinted shes in love with him) and then she goes on her dragons. Jon and the squad go into an isle in the middle of a lake, then the wights surround them, trying to charge the ice breaks underneath them. Jon + squad stay on the isle for about a day and then when tormund throws a rock near the wights, they see the ice is frozen so they start coming towards jon. They start fighting Tormund is about to die, then Daenerys comes in with her dragons burning some of the dead army down, the squad get on Drogon whilst Jon is kinda holding of the wights. We see the nights king get an ice spear thing and throw it at Viserion, it hits him in the neck and falls through the ice. Whilst jon just put down the last wight (as seen in season 7 trailer) he sees the night king go to get another spear attached to his horse, then jons starts shouting GO GO GO!, as he sinks into the ice with lots of wights on top of him, Daenerys gives this kinda worried look and flies off. We see jon pick up longclaw as he is coming out of the ice, the wights notice him and start running towards him, at that moment benjen comes and suprises Jon, Jon is all like UNCLE BENJEN?! but he tells him theres no time. Jon gets on the horse badly wounded and benjen goes into the wights with his fire thing (like leaf did in 6x5) We cut to the scene with Daenerys on top of the wall with jorah, Daenerys says 'just a little bit longer, please' jorah says we have to go now your grace, and just as she turns around jorah notices something coming out of the forest, a horn is blown. Then you can see a targaryen boat in the distance, we cut to a chamber where jon is put in a bed and then davos takes off his cloack and shirt. Dany notices his scars on his chests and you can see tears in her eyes ( she realises he was being serious about 'giving his life for his people') He wakes up and then Jon apoligises for getting viserion killed, then says a sentence and calls daenerys 'Dany. Daenerys chuckles and says how her brother was the last one to call her that. Then for like the last 2 mins of the episode, we can see the wights pulling out viserion of the lake, the nights king walking up to him and touching him, his eyes turn blue and get zoomed into his pupils to end the episode.
That Rhaegar revelation shouldn't matter anymore because the show has been tossing the whole royal succession thing out the window for the last two seasons. Ellaria had no claim to Dorne. Everyone should hate her for murdering the Martells. But she magically takes over Dorne. Cersei is far down the line of succession for the Iron Throne, she should be below Robert's distant relatives. Everyone should hate her for blowing up the Sept, killing a popular religious leader, and all her allies. But she magically takes the Iron Throne. Euron was elected king of the Iron Isles at the Kingsmoot. But Yara made an alliance with Dany to overthrow him. Jon has no claim to be the King in the North. He certainly has no authority over the Vale men. But they made him King of the North. Succession doesn't matter anymore.
Olence Tyrell (I love her but no claim to rule Highgargen) Cersi have no claim either (her marriage as end and all he children are dead) Jon is claim bastard but he should at the bottom of line of succession Ellaira Sand that was joke ( I am not going talked about it)Yara I am for her because I believe she robbed because her uncles.
Claims don't mean shit. If you don't have the backing of everyone else, you aren't king/queen. If everyone in the north wants Jon to be king and follows him like one, he is a king. If no one has the guts to challenge Cersei, she is the queen. Power makes you the ruler, not name alone

That would make sense if the Night king was also a Warg/Greenseer before his transformation and that's why after his transformation his powers far surpassed expectations of the children's of the forest and will to overlook the control. While I'm here might as well add this. If the mad king really went mad because of the whispers, I think it was the three eyed raven (Brandon rivers) not Brandon Stark. If this theory does even come up again on the show. :) And fucking love you Alt Shift X, best GoT youtuber.
The best part of Dany’s quest to “break the wheel” in Westeros is that her family exclusively ruled Westeros for the last 300 years until Robert’s Rebellion. Considering how peaceful the realm was under Robert and how many people liked him as King, it seems pretty fair to say that “the wheel” in Westeros is synonymous with Targaryen rule
N M of course he did. Hes probably working on the video for the episode right now. Theres zero reason not to watch it. It's not our fault HBO fucked up. It wasnt stolen they just fucked up. I pay for the goddamn service ill watch it when i have the opportunity to do so.
So how the hell did Tyrion know Jamie was alive? The last he saw of Jamie was riding full speed into fire. Does anyone know how they can explain this glaring plot hole?
I think he could have seen Bronn tackle Jamie into the water before the fire consumed them. Even if he didn't see it Bronn acted as the middleman for their meeting which could imply that Tyrion and Bronn have been keeping in contact. If not that either Tyrion and Bronn had at LEAST been in contact once since the sack of high garden.
Eric Proffitt Fair enough just thought it was odd Tyrion wondered around the battle ground and not look for Jamie at all. Then not even mention him or looking worried his brother was cooked or drowned.
speaking of plot holes.... 1. how could Jaime charge at Dany like that when there should be heaps of dothraki men around protecting their queen? 2. how convenient that Bronn jumped out at the right time and BOTH escaped dragon fire point blank? 3. how odd that Dany did not look for the guy who tried to kill her? 4. how weird also Tyrion didn't look for his brother who might have died or drowned? also his enemy 5. why would Jaime sink so deep in a small pond? 6. and how did Bron save Jamie in full heavy armour? and yes you are right in pointing out that how come Tyrion just knew straight away Jamie was alive and back in Kings landing? and then came to KL in bright day light lol..... argh well...
Cecilia1999 1) She the leader of the dothraki and in their society they value strength above all else. It wouldn't be very strong to have to have a bunch of dothraki guard you from one guy. Not to mention they were in the heat of battle and, you know, she has a dragon 2) It's very possible that Bronn saw Jamie charge Dany like Tyrion did just acted quickly 3) Dragon fire literally turns people into ash. It isn't that unlikely that Dany thought she roasted Jamie 4) He may have and we don't see it, and he probably saw Bronn tackle him out of the way and left it up to him 5) It could be a symbolic representation, but ignoring that, combine the armor with how he isn't struggling and he'd sink like a rock 6) That I don't know really without knowing the weight of the armor, though it does seem pretty light weight if he can get on horses and maneuver with it and what not
Your introduction to the greatest squad of warriors was hilarious. Your videos make the whole Game of thrones experience even better! I don't think I would enjoy watching the show as much if there weren't your videos.
Why is no one talking about the fact that two men in armor magically managed to swim across a lake without being see/captured by Dani's army? I call fake news.
Kaila Lee Gibbons Yeah, that was my first thought. Lucky for Jaime, he's covered in this magical thing known as plot armor that protects him from everything.
Annette Diola I'm literally scrolling through comments just lurking about waiting for it 😂 But now that I know it'll be tomorrow, I might just give up waiting and check back tomorrow. I've already rewatched like 5 videos and read a billion comments so I'm glad I happened across this info :) Thanks Victoria!
His real father is Tywin. That's the irony of the whole thing. It's much more poetic then him being the third head of the dragon. So please stop wishing for that.
The show's pacing is awful. We had a whole season of Aria training with the faceless men, and she was just a mediocre swordsman at the end of it. Now she's suddenly the best in the world? That would have been interesting, yet we missed out on it because they wanted a surprise. Seems cheap and manipulative, like most everything they are doing in the show now.
The sense of time is a little warped as they accelerate the plot. You forget that she used to practice what Cyril taught her all the time when she was on the road with The Hound. Considering the sparring she was doing with Brienne was the water dance style of sword fighting that was the only formal training in the sword Arya ever had, it's obvious that she was training the entire time she left Braavos and traveled back up north. The show just doesn't show her journey.
Cersei making peace with Danny reminds me of 1920 China. The communists vs nationalists. The communists where losing the war horribly. Being pushed back thousands of miles. But the nationalist leader gets captured and taken captive by the communists. Around this time the Japanese invade china. (Japanese maybe symbolising the white walkers and the army of the dead). Instead of killing the nationalist leader they broker a peace in which they band together to fight the greater threat; the Japanese. In the fighting the communists fought in guerrilla warfare and the nationalists fought a more conventional straight forward fight. Well in the end the Japanese get defeated. But not without heavy losses on the nationalist side and of course minimal losses on the communist side. The communists after the war then turned around and stacked the nationalists and won the war. The nationalists of course being Danny and Jon. The communists being cersei.
No, the national party's leader was taken captive by one of his own men, basically it's a mutiny. The man who led the mutiny was Zhang xueliang, he's never a communist, he later fled to taiwan with the national party and said he regretted his decision. The communists fought against the japanese in rural areas, the national party's army defended the big citis and of course they suffered much heavier loss.
People are always saying how Tyrion could be a secret Targaryen as his mother was liked by the Mad King and there was potential of some action going on. I'm just saying Cersei having this Wildfire madness and the incest with Jaime as well, could it be that Jaime and Cersei are actually the offspring of the Mad King and Joanna Lannister while Tyrion is the only actual son of Tywin?
Jesse T. Patterson I don't think so. Honestly, I don t believe neither of them are Targaryens. Maybe and I say MAYBE Tyrion. In the books, his father says something about him believing Tyrion is not his actual son, and he is described as having a really light blond hair, but it doesn't mean a thing, Tywin just doesn't want to believe he really is his son, he hates him for who and what he is. Tommen has also a light hair colour, it doesn't mean he is a Targaryan lol. And Cercei's madness is not something she was born with. She developed it, she always wanted power because her father never actually gave it to her. She became manipulative because she wanted to show him that she can be an hair just as good as Jaime, maybe even a better one. And also, she lost all her children, father and had to do also the 'walk of shame'. I kinda understand why she became like that, so I really don't think she or Jaime has anything to do with the Mad king, like being his children. But I also understand why would you think so.
In the books there's quite a bit of evidence to this theory. Genna Lannister says that Tyrion is the only son of Tywin. And Jaime had a dream, probably with his mother, in which it's implied that he's not Tywin son's.
+Jesse T. Patterson I think that your theory could be correct. What irony that Tywin said to Tyrion, "You are no son of mine" when, actually, Tyrion was his ONLY true son... Jaime/Cersei were the bastards. Also fitting given their relationship and the fact that Targaryen's often married brother to sister to keep the bloodlines pure.
Bebu BaeBae The theory is bullshit and you know it. Using the lighter hair as a genetics argument is in direct contradiction to how genetics work in regards to r+l=j. So basically, you're twisting reality to fit your theories. The books say aerys may have "taken liberties" on tywin and Joanna's *wedding night*. So how, oh how, can tyrion be the product of this when he's the youngest of the three. He never said he didn't believe tyrion was his son. Again, you're twisting words. "you're no son of mine" is not literal, it's a figure of speech meant to disown him. He also says the exact same words to Jaime in the books. There, debunked.
What kind of sad, miserable, subhuman sack of shit do you need to be to intentionally spam spoilers like this and be dumb enough to misspell an important name while doing it to boot?
It wouldn't be against her nature. She knows her and Jamie's relationship have been slipping for years now and needs *something* to keep Jamie attached to her.
I didnt really need to watch an explanation video for this episode or for any, but watching Alt Shift X is totally different and is worth the 20 minutes of my time
i stopped bitching about the difference between the books and the show years ago. even though sometimes i cabt help it, i just accept that the show and books are different platforms now

so if we are to believe the Valonqar prophecy is true then could it not be that her new pregnancy is what kills her? and the child die in the process, so the younger brother of Joffery, Marcella and Tommen is the one that kill's Cersei. thus fulfills the prophecy?
Funny thing is that I'm practically just as knowledgeable in the series as you but I watch these videos still because 3 seasons ago you helped me catch up.
yep, everything you said was true. you left out both dragins-who-arent drogo dying and that bran was finally able to fly on one, as well as jonny mcsnow. Sansa's death was BRUTA+SAVAGE AF. farewell Brienne, too bad you ddnt fuck tormund and or jaime on a 3 some
He probably saw the leaked episode. I was already a critic of the ridiculous writing and the predictable dialogue and plot but this new leaked one just takes the cake. At this point I'm only watching because I've invested 6+ years following that story but this season has been so poor. Events in this season are bigger than in any other previous one but the way that those events are developed and presented is so uninspired and generic, the only exceptions are parts in episode 3.
Can someone explain me this: 1) Benjen stark tells brann that the wall is not just ice but also spells that doesn't allow the dead pass across the wall. How they manged to get one of them across it? 2) when jon hangs sir alliser and the others who betrayed him ed tells him:" you should burn the bodies". So if someone dies nearby the wall can turn into a wight so why don't bring someone sentenced to die to the wall, kill him there and than let him turn into a wight without this suicide mission?
When Jon puts his hand on the dragon's face it reminded me of "How to Train Your Dragon" when a dragon and rider become friends. I finally put it together LMAO. I didn't realize he was the voice actor Eret in the 2nd movie.
Jon is not the rightful heir. Aerys disinherited Rhaegar's line and made Viserys his heir. Plus, Rhaella crowned Viserys on Dragon Stone FWIW. So technically, if you're going by Targaryen lineage, then Dany is the rightful Queen. Although with the Great Council of 101 might complicate things as well as Lords who think a male claimant comes first.
Maybe Cercei lied to Jaime about being pregnant because she felt Jamie's loyalty is wavering (with all the PTSD and tyranny and him becoming a better man and all) and faking a pregnancy would keep him by her side.
I don't want to sound like I dislike where the story is going or bitchin about the show while I religiously watch it, but I feel conflicted about s7. I mean, looking at the big picture perspective, it does set great things up to happen later in the final season, but at the same time, i feel like they're rushing thing up. (Which is also the reason why I don't really feel the Jon-Dany ship. There's friendship and mutual trust there but I didn't feel their chemistry. just yet, and hinting it in every few episodes kind of turn it off for me? But probably just me) Plus, speed travel. Some of the decisions that the characters make also don't make sense, which I do hope they will explain it in later episodes. 1) Where are Varys' little birds and why didn't he use them at all? 2) Why didn't Bran say anything to either Arya or Sansa? 3) *I might be biased in terms of this because Tyrion is my favorite* why did he make such reckless decisions lately? Where are his smart moves and tactical thinking? If you happen to know the answers to this please reply? However, I have to props the creator and actors for making such beautiful cinematography, complex characters, and on point dialogues. I especially love when Tyrion asked Dany how exactly she's going to 'break the wheel' in the new ep because honestly, aren't we all asking the same questions?
1)Varys really doesn't have his little birds anymore; they are Qyburn's now. 2) Bran has a lot of information jumbling around in his head and he needs to sort it all out; once he does, he will definitely tell Sansa and/or Arya about it. 3) I wouldn't necessarily say Tyrion's decisions are reckless; he's thinking long term but he needs to think about the short term since things are happening quickly. He's trying to keep Dany reigned in so she doesn't end up like her father and wants to help her build this new world she envisioned. And in terms of tactics and smart moves, he even admitted that his brother has more experience as a military commander and would know more about tactics. And his smart moves were based on information he received from the likes of Varys and his little birds(which, with your first question, Varys doesn't have anymore. Tyrion's kind of in the dark right now.
You are wrong about not using the dragons. Daenerys tells Jon that she can't leave the war and use resources (previous episode). Also showing a WhiteWalker to Cersei is to prove that Daenerys's truce is real and not a plot to backstab Cersei.
It should be noted that Varys also lost his 'little birds'. The Spider's net of influence was, in many ways, lessened significantly in the show when he left and joined with Daenerys.
The eagles couldn't just fly frodo in because sauron would obviously fucking see a giant eagle. The eagles went to pick them up after he was destroyed, also Aragorn even says they might get seen and thats why they fucking have that huge last battle as a distraction. Blows my mind still today people don't put that much together, and argue they could of just have flown in lol.
In general I find it quite weird that Daenarys doesn´t use her dragons in general to simply travel. WHen she first didn´t really believe John she could have simply taken a dragon and make a day trip to see the army of the dead for instance. And she could quite easily scout of course.
Book Cersei would never have let Tyrion out of Kings Landing alive, she is committed to preventing the prophecy coming true. She conspired to execute Margaery Tyrell, so I don't see her letting the potential valonqar just row away.
I feel like Danny should've given the surviving Lannister army a choice to either return to their homes or fight with her for a better future, just like she did with the unsullied. That would've been a more "Danny-like" thing to do that makes her different from other rulers which ultimately is the reason people support her for in the first place.
I see your point but the Unsullied were slaves and she freed them, so they are now fighting for her. The Lannister army is composed by free men anyway, men who are her enemies. The fact that she gave them a choice was "Danny-like" on its own in my opinion
That would be true, except that the choice was to fight for her, or die. Which means you have to fight for her or die, like the slaves. She effectively turned the Lannister men into her slave warriors. I don't think there could be any "Dany" like choice here, the best would be just to take them as PoWs.
I was particularly disappointed with that. At that point, she was just giving them slave treatment. Slaves have two choices, obey their masters or die. Dany should, at the very least, have given them an option to surrender. An option other than "fight your own friends and family or die".
I've been so frustrated by the lateness of your videos this season, Alt Shift X, but you totally vindicated yourself this time round. This video was totally worth the wait and left all of the others in the dust!
I must point something out do you remember way back where the men of the nights watch were staying at crasters keep and he mentioned that he had about 90-100 children with his daughters/wives so if we minus let's say about 20-25 people due to that they are women it could be possible that there is 70 to maybe 80 white walkers so there could be more than expected I could be wrong but it's a thought!
dude 14:21 i don't know where you're basing your ideas from. maybe in real life you are a very trusting person. if you think circe wants peace noooo. she's more likely to try and assassinate danny once they meet - because that's easier than winning the war. "just like father" -- is referring to how her father used the boltons to wipe out the starks.
'Varys is just a bald guy in a dressing gown, hoping for the best''
This is why you are my favourite GoT reviewer.
Didnt Gendry's father actually kill John's real father? They just don't know it yet
Oh shit... yeah...Man that's gonna make the way they high-fived about their dads being friends kinda awkward
haha yes, yes it is. I can't wait till they to find out. ᴵ ʰᵒᵖᵉ ᵗʰᵉʸ ᶫᶦᵛᵉ ᵗᵒ ᶠᶦᶰᵈ ᵒᵘᵗ
Jon didnt meet his real father, like Theon his father is Ned
Yes Robert Baratheon killed Rhaegar Targaryen because of Lyanna Stark
Gendry's now strong after all that rowing lol

"we dont know yet how brans powers work"
GOT Writers - "Neither do we"
This actually made me laugh 😃
Anybody else damn tired of waiting for Bran to do something awesome and useful with his new powers? So much time was spent on his journey up north, so many characters suffered and died, and now he just sits around and says creepy stuff to everyone... He really needs to go warg a dragon, or tell Jon about ancient forgotten secret defenses from the white walkers, or drop an avalanche on them or something, just to prove it wasn't a complete waste.
"Go warg a dragon" sounds like a silly insult.
I gotta say I was a bit dissapointed that Jamie and bronn just swam away.. I spent a lot of time last week thinking about what would happen if he was captured as a prisoner, that would make everything really complicated, because Tyrion is on Danerys side and so on.. So felt kinda dumb that they just got away even though both Tyrion and Danerys saw him charging the dragon.
every time I see "sad" somewhere I think of Trump..
The fact that they got away isn't dumb, only the way they did is...
I like how absolutely disappointed this guy sounds with each passing episode lol
You know things are going bad when even the guy who tries to do neutral analysis is getting negative.
CadaverJunky he doesn't even get into detail because the plots are so stupid that it's impossible to remain neutral
Is this season past beyond the book? Cause the story telling isn't as good I noticed.
What the fuck are you talking about?
Is something wrong with your hearing?
If anything, this guy's getting more _into_ it with every episode.
She said murder*
Servo Augusta i know
When your most fearsome weapon is a trio of fire breathing dragons, you are going to use your fire breathing dragons. That way, people will say, "Don't mess around with her. She has fire breathing dragons!"
@orfeas we all know she meant "I'm not here to kill....unless I have to" don't take it so literally and in context its kinda implied or something I don't know the word for it. Its like when your parents are summoned to the principals office and they say "I'm not here to judge you"
Dany is a dumb bitch that ruins everything she touches. You don't get to just bail when you fuck up a country and get to try again with another.
"Why would Cersei be impressed when she's already got a zombie" lmao

meanwhile Jon's about to get some for basically acting exactly like Jorah, lol.
Urek Mazino This may be true but in the movie, the Eagles clearly hand the Nazgul very well. So the point is valid in the movies.
To be fair there were a lot more eagles than Nazgul.
You DID see how the Eagles just beat the shit out of the Nine, right?
Eagles had more #s and could take the nine rather easily. So no eagle plot hole still stands.
Episodes are getting released faster than you can get the reviews out!

He's inaccurate, don't worry about it.
Why worry? At least Alt Shift X's integrity is intact while others are desperate for likes (translation: MONEY).

"the same reason the eagles don't fly Frodo to Mount Doom in Lord of the Rings"
Yeah, lets fly a couple hobbits into the heart of the enemies territory carrying the most powerful weapon on them, while 9 Nazgul are flying around guarding the place. Good idea...
the eagles took pretty good care of the Nazgul when they fought them. i think they did not even suffer a scratch in the few seconds it took them to take over the air.
I love that smooth transition into the audible advert
It so annoying, that people always point out that Frodo could have used the eagles. THAT would have been a stupid idea. Sauron would have spotted them easily and the Nazgul would have taken them apart with their DRAGONS. To be as secret as possible was their best bet. Lotr is pretty logical, especially of course the books. Tolkiens depiction of battles in the books is actually more realistic than some of GRRM depictions.
Etmund Taramber yea, fuck those guys that haven't really read lotr and think it's illogical fantasy
Completely agree, sick of hearing "But the eagles lol"
Lets not even get into the fact that the Eagles aren't horses to be rode whenever people want, they have their own way of doing things and aren't down with casually carrying a bunch of folks all the way across Middle Earth. They probably only helped at the end cus they realized it was quite literally the final fight.
Etmund Taramber
But with a proper distraction it would have worked easily.
@@wtxcrazydonut
Doubt it. Let's assume you're right. Throw in a second attack on Dol Guldur and fly them in from the south. GG
There is no denying this logic for sure. The only difficulty would be for Gandalf to convince Rohan, Gondor and the Elves to join in the feint. You have to get rid of Saruman before so I agree on that point. It would not be too easy.
Joffrey, Myrcella and Tommen "Baratheon" XD That never gets old. I laugh every single time :D
I choked on my spaghetti at "Eater of Chicken". 😂
Jon's legitimacy was confirmed by none other than Gilly lol
So how Bronn managed to pull out Jaime out of water? Jaime is wearing full plate armor (possibly of gold, but that would be ultra stupid on the battlefield, so lets assume its only gold plated). They managed to swim whole lake (battle is on the other side) and Jaime was in a bit of shock. This defies logic almost as much as Euron's instant travels and whole bending of time-and-space continuum in season 7.
That's a river mate
Plate Armour isn't particularly heavy. You can run and swim in it.

Early on, anybody that made just a couple mistakes ended up dead... Starks in particular. Now, our main characters keep making incredibly stupid mistakes, all the Starks, Lanisters, etc, and they all miraculously keep surviving. It's really not the same show, today, that it was.
they are running out of people to kill most people they have alive at the moment they need for the finale
Thank you for taking time to make your videos great and not rushed
People travel around Westeros so fucking quickly this season! Remember how it took Rob a whole fucking episode to cross a bridge in season 1???
If travel speed bothers you, you're going to hate episode 6.
I watched 6, but it was awesome so i didnt really care
MovieNerd_EP there's less than 10 episodes left for GOT. No time to waste for traveling.
In six the only really bothersome travel speed was, and spoilers ahead:
The raven flying to Dragonstone to alert Dany.
Never have I heard a more smooth ad transition. That alone deserves a thumbs up.
Remember people, episode 6 has leaked, don't scroll down!
For the Internet is dark and full of spoilers...
You are a saint.
*SPOILER ALERT*
In episode 6 nothing much happens, Arya and Sansa argue, Sansa finds Arya's faces, Jon goes north, they capture a wight, after that they see a storm so they tell gendry to go back to eatwatch (he does) and send a letter to Daenerys, We cut to a scene where tyrion and daenerys talk about jon snow(its hinted shes in love with him) and then she goes on her dragons.
Jon gets on the horse badly wounded and benjen goes into the wights with his fire thing (like leaf did in 6x5)
We cut to the scene with Daenerys on top of the wall with jorah, Daenerys says 'just a little bit longer, please'
jorah says we have to go now your grace, and just as she turns around jorah notices something coming out of the forest, a horn is blown.
Then you can see a targaryen boat in the distance, we cut to a chamber where jon is put in a bed and then davos takes off his cloack and shirt. Dany notices his scars on his chests and you can see tears in her eyes ( she realises he was being serious about 'giving his life for his people')
He wakes up and then Jon apoligises for getting viserion killed, then says a sentence and calls daenerys 'Dany.
So right! all the levels

And fucking love you Alt Shift X, best GoT youtuber.

4. how weird also Tyrion didn't look for his brother who might have died or drowned? also his enemy
5. why would Jaime sink so deep in a small pond?
6. and how did Bron save Jamie in full heavy armour?
and yes you are right in pointing out that how come Tyrion just knew straight away Jamie was alive and back in Kings landing?
and then came to KL in bright day light lol.....
argh well...
magic of varys i guess
Cecilia1999
1) She the leader of the dothraki and in their society they value strength above all else. It wouldn't be very strong to have to have a bunch of dothraki guard you from one guy. Not to mention they were in the heat of battle and, you know, she has a dragon
2) It's very possible that Bronn saw Jamie charge Dany like Tyrion did just acted quickly
3) Dragon fire literally turns people into ash. It isn't that unlikely that Dany thought she roasted Jamie
4) He may have and we don't see it, and he probably saw Bronn tackle him out of the way and left it up to him
5) It could be a symbolic representation, but ignoring that, combine the armor with how he isn't struggling and he'd sink like a rock
6) That I don't know really without knowing the weight of the armor, though it does seem pretty light weight if he can get on horses and maneuver with it and what not
Btw when I heard of the kidnapping a zombie plan, I felt like for a second there a show turned into a parody lol ...it's just the dumbest plan ever.
Đuro Razbojnik probably would've been easier to kidnap Cercei and show her
They even say in the show that it's a stupid idea, Tormund says it lmfao.
Yep, I'm not even sure if I'm watching GoT or The Walking Dead anymore
Đuro Razbojnik I have a feeling that Jon is trying to inception Dany into seeing the night king for herself.
I mean how else do you show Cersei a white walker? It's the only way
"She could fly there with her 3 dragons"
Well shit .
I told Dany to send 20 good men but she wouldn't listen

Why is no one talking about the fact that two men in armor magically managed to swim across a lake without being see/captured by Dani's army? I call fake news.
really strong currents?
Bronn is a Merman. He and Varys have been plotting together all along.
Kaila Lee Gibbons bronn doesnt have armor.
Kaila Lee Gibbons it was a river. It washed them down the stream.
Kaila Lee Gibbons Yeah, that was my first thought. Lucky for Jaime, he's covered in this magical thing known as plot armor that protects him from everything.

This video's humour made me cry with laughter, fantastic job dude!
What are your thoughts about the theory that Bran is the Night King? Would love to see a video about that.
They've explained Littlefinger. His goal is pretty bland actually; iron throne, marry Sansa.
"...and eater of chicken." LOL
*1930s
*guerrilla warfare (sorry i laughed hard at this)
I thought the exact same thing while watching it
Christopher Cruz LMFAO
Nice
No, the national party's leader was taken captive by one of his own men, basically it's a mutiny. The man who led the mutiny was Zhang xueliang, he's never a communist, he later fled to taiwan with the national party and said he regretted his decision. The communists fought against the japanese in rural areas, the national party's army defended the big citis and of course they suffered much heavier loss.
Great job with explanations, and the diagrams of the family trees and photo collages of Jon's dream team. I appreciate the handiwork. Thanks!
I know my theory is probably wrong but still seems like one that i havnt seen anyone talk about really at all. Thnx for your input.

Oh my sweet little summer child im not a kneeler.
Jose Garcia that's a lie
Jose Garcia valerion? Lmao
SPOILER ALERT
In episode 6 nothing much happens, Arya and Sansa argue, Sansa finds Arya's faces, Jon goes north, they capture a wight, after that they see a storm so they tell gendry to go back to eatwatch (he does) and send a letter to Daenerys, We cut to a scene where tyrion and daenerys talk about jon snow(its hinted shes in love with him) and then she goes on her dragons.
Daenerys chuckles and says how her brother was the last one to call her that. Then for like the last 2 mins of the episode, we can see the wights pulling out viserion of the lake, the nights king walking up to him and touching him, his eyes turn blue and get zoomed into his pupils to end the episode.
your advertisements always as smooth af I never see it coming
so if we are to believe the Valonqar prophecy is true then could it not be that her new pregnancy is what kills her? and the child die in the process, so the younger brother of Joffery, Marcella and Tommen is the one that kill's Cersei. thus fulfills the prophecy?
there IS NOOOO! Valonqar prophecy on the show people
Sophia Wilson You sure about that?
9:45 - "Why not just fly up and burn them now..."
*watches episode 6*
...Well at least someone is fucking happy.
Funny thing is that I'm practically just as knowledgeable in the series as you but I watch these videos still because 3 seasons ago you helped me catch up.
Sandor Clegane: The Hound, digger of graves, eater of chickens
I really wanted to drop spoilers for the leaked episode. But then I thought of how horrible that is. I honour you. My brothers and sisters. 😏
Zemph Valerion dies! Sansa kills her sister, LF survives, they capture a walker thats about it
Jose Garcia who is this valerion you speak of?
Also Sansa doesn't kills Arya... They are both major characters in episode 7..
yep, everything you said was true. you left out both dragins-who-arent drogo dying and that bran was finally able to fly on one, as well as jonny mcsnow.
Sansa's death was BRUTA+SAVAGE AF. farewell Brienne, too bad you ddnt fuck tormund and or jaime on a 3 some
@ Nber Nagor :no for super-cereal,ness they are NOT trolling. you just wait for ep6 real release
be prepared to cry like a biatch
You spoke my mind. GoT was different from other fantasy stories....till this point. Now it doesn't make sense anymore.
You know the show is on a dangerous and disappointing path, when even Alt Shift X criticizes the ridiculous plot.
Tobin Erwin Yea glad to see he finally stopped his apologetics.
They have so many things to wrap up and less than one season to do it. They should have stuck to full length seasons.
I was looking for this comment
Constant Domination It's fun though
I fucking love these videos! Keep it up I'm a big fan of all your stuff !!
Love your team breakdown-"The Hound, eater of chicken." I want a reunion between he and Arya soon!
Plot
0:05 are you saying Bronn isn't a sexy tree milf?
When Jon puts his hand on the dragon's face it reminded me of "How to Train Your Dragon" when a dragon and rider become friends. I finally put it together LMAO. I didn't realize he was the voice actor Eret in the 2nd movie.
DON'T LOOK AT COMMENTS IN THIS VID IN CASE OF EP6 SPOILERS
Jon is not the rightful heir. Aerys disinherited Rhaegar's line and made Viserys his heir. Plus, Rhaella crowned Viserys on Dragon Stone FWIW. So technically, if you're going by Targaryen lineage, then Dany is the rightful Queen. Although with the Great Council of 101 might complicate things as well as Lords who think a male claimant comes first.
I love your voice. You can make the most sarcastic of comments sound legit.
How about making another one for episode 6.
i m sure he will and i m sure it will be around by probably next friday?! :)
Maybe Cercei lied to Jaime about being pregnant because she felt Jamie's loyalty is wavering (with all the PTSD and tyranny and him becoming a better man and all) and faking a pregnancy would keep him by her side.
That's what I was thinking.
"... but in fantasy, sceptics are wrong...!"
Are you going to release your review of season 7, episode 6 before episode 7 airs?
Loved the description of Jon's a team.
You are wrong about not using the dragons. Daenerys tells Jon that she can't leave the war and use resources (previous episode). Also showing a WhiteWalker to Cersei is to prove that Daenerys's truce is real and not a plot to backstab Cersei.
yeah i agree, i think he criticized the writing too much for this point
*>why don't the Eagles fly Frodo to Mordor*
there is a strong answer to this
It should be noted that Varys also lost his 'little birds'.
She could but she preferred to loose her baby dragon instead, learning the hard way.
You nailed the prediction for Littlefinger
Book Cersei would never have let Tyrion out of Kings Landing alive, she is committed to preventing the prophecy coming true. She conspired to execute Margaery Tyrell, so I don't see her letting the potential valonqar just row away.
There is NO Valonqar Prophecy on the show version
I feel like Danny should've given the surviving Lannister army a choice to either return to their homes or fight with her for a better future, just like she did with the unsullied. That would've been a more "Danny-like" thing to do that makes her different from other rulers which ultimately is the reason people support her for in the first place.
I see your point but the Unsullied were slaves and she freed them, so they are now fighting for her.
The Lannister army is composed by free men anyway, men who are her enemies. The fact that she gave them a choice was "Danny-like" on its own in my opinion
They would've returned home to fight her again in the future
That would be true, except that the choice was to fight for her, or die. Which means you have to fight for her or die, like the slaves. She effectively turned the Lannister men into her slave warriors. I don't think there could be any "Dany" like choice here, the best would be just to take them as PoWs.
"Unsullied were slaves and she freed them, so they are now fighting for her."
- Lol
What about the LizardJon Theory? Doesn't Jon's encounter with the Dragon Confirm it?
Marquis Forneus please explain the lizard Jon theory.
+Many Faced jon's a lizard
xD
earth is flat
That knock at the Eagles in Lord of the Rings and comparing them to the Dragons just going North and just burning them! Ha!
dude 14:21 i don't know where you're basing your ideas from. maybe in real life you are a very trusting person. if you think circe wants peace noooo. she's more likely to try and assassinate danny once they meet - because that's easier than winning the war. "just like father" -- is referring to how her father used the boltons to wipe out the starks.
