star rail cooks with every aeon in every aspect, they genuinely feel like unknown powerful entities that should not be approached lightly if not, approached at all..
Maybe I'm influence by the new maps in hsr but it makes me think of clockwork based puppets. And by puppets i mean average sized human figures made of porcelain or smth instead of wood. Just people turned into tools with no option for anything, just doing everything with a balance (equal number of good to bad)

I was so confused when you said Nous is humanoid that I look at them 4 different times trying to see the arms and legs before finally seeing the face. My guy, that’s not humanoid, that’s just a big head.
According to the lastest quest and quoted by Sunday, Xipe can either be an ally or an enemy to the Trailblaze, meaning those 3 heads are not just for show, those head either represents the mooods of the Aeon or the darkside of the Harmony
So how do you imagine the real Big Man looks like? Another imposing ideal representation being? I mean that would be quite unsettling you know. Imagine He look like those Dark Gods in WH40K

Personally something that I find kinda terrifying about Ena is that apparently THEY are actually the giant Eye, and the puppet is an actual puppet being controlled by THEM.
Yaoshi literally sounds like a tree branch growing swiftly and ripping its way out of a human corpse. Exactly like I would imagine someone becoming Mara-struck.
My theory is that these were sounds recorded by people from the Aeons themselves. Which means that the sound IX, a living Black Hole is just the sound slowly dying out and the person that recorded it has probably fallen into IX.
"Kinda like" is an undersatement, these Hoyo deities and their influences are literally cosmic horrors by nature compared to other Hoyo game deities such as Archons and Herrschers which are closer to humans

Aha sounds like entering a circus of impossible hallways, each section is more and less impossible than the last IX sounds like entering an ocean of void, with each ounce of action even with your mind both affecting and unaffecting the distant nothing in your non existent view Nous sounds like quite literally entering through its machinery Lan is literally a bow, bland one way or another but great symbolism Tayzzyronth sounds like entering a nest Xipe sounds like a paradise compromised of every color, from red to black to yellow Ena sounds like the emphasis of control Qlipoth sounds old Oroboros sounds hungry Nanook sounds like the fading burning ashes of a paper HooH sounds like judgement YaoShi sounds like sprouting seeds Fuli soudns like mirrored reflections Mythus sounds quite literally as his descendant form, like facing him directly you would hear that sound
+ Aha is intimidating, but mainly because you don't know what they'll do or consider to be a joke. But more likely they're most annoying aeon, than intimidating. Imo i think their followers are almost worse..? + IX's sound effect really does feel like there's no point. Good on the team, cooked on designs and sound. + When I first heard/encountered Nous in the SU it actually freaked me the hell out, and I think it's one of the few aeons that actually scare me. Also just reminds me of Portal. + Lan's chill, oddly feels like the most human out of all the aeons. Just like they're out for vengeance or something. + Tayzzyronth is weird and gross to me. I still don't understand why they're/it's so important. + Xipe used to freak me out. They seemed the most cultish, but somehow Ena managed to outdo that "homicidal unity" penacony had going on. I also love Ena and I have Sunday's unhinged lunacy (and their incredible design) to blame. + Qlipoth is odd. It doesn't feel like they're preserving anything, and the IPC feels like it's pulling a 'traitor on penacony' with not actually following them. And what the hell are they hammering? + The voracity has a...an interesting sound. Thing. That's all. + Nanook sounds the most normal, just fire or something crackling. Also looks the most normal, considering Xipe's got blue puzzle skin and the other human-looking ones have much more prominent nonhuman bits. I dont know why they're seen as the main enemy though, most of the aeons seem unhinged as a result of their aeonhood. + HooH also reminds me of Portal for obvious reasons. Second favorite design. Just a lil guy. Yaoshi feels like a much bigger antagonist, considering their abundance also involves, like, cancerous growths and stuff. Are they the cause behind stellarons and whatever? I'd like to think the one aeon that would seem to have a pro instead of just cons would be the main issue in hsr but that's just me. Fuli's noises or whatever are perfect. Another aeon i don't fully understand, but once again that's probably just me. Mythus has my interest now with Gallagher. Sounds like a fork on a ceramic plate. Also probably the most hazardous aeon, but just because they're whole deal is making shit up. Would be interesting if a newer aeon or Aha itself absorbed Mythus, since they seem kinda similar or have similar goals. Sorry for the whole ahh essay I'm just a nerd. Then again guess we all are, playing a gacha game and looking into the lore.
To clear things up with why Tayzzyronth the Propagation is so important: During the swarm disaster, which Tayzzyronth caused, several eons that we are familiar with were not even existing. Tayzzyronth's actions and defeat led to the birth of Fuli, and to the demise of Ena, as she was assimilated by Xipe. The Propagation also set free Oroboros, as the Voracity was captured by Ena, and imprisoned in a secluded zone of galaxy, with little to no food (that changed when bugs bursted into that zone, and fed Oroborus with their flesh).
While Mythus and Aha may seem to have similar motivations, elation and enigma as concepts are really different. It’s not so much about what the aeon themselves wants to accomplish that leads to assimilation, but as to what the path represents. Aha mostly just does shit for fun, whereas Mythus appears to have some sort of greater purpose to erasing knowledge.
Lan are not chill at all. They show no mercy to everyone including their followers. Lan even blow up an entire planet without mercy just to kill Abundance and to "cure" the people there from Abundance curse.
*Aha:* Live, laugh, laugh out loud! *IX:* To exist is to wait for oblivion’s embrace. *Nous:* Knowledge is power. *Lan:* Pursue your enemies. *Tayzzyronth:* Breed, spread, populate. *Xipe:* Unity through peace and jubilee. *Ena:* Unity through law and structure. *Qlipoth:* Preserve the being of one or another through protection. *Oroboros:* Consume until I no longer starve. *Nanook:* Everything decays. *HooH:* Balance shall not be tipped. *Yaoshi:* Live forever or die. *Fuli:* Memory is proof of existence. *Long:* Living is proof of existence. *Mythus:* Fiction is power. *Terminus:* All things must come to an end. *Akivili:* Explore, dream, discover, and leave a legacy.
For some reason, Nous sounds like a mechanical human screaming in agony in the vastness of space. I don’t know why. Is it just me? I think it’s just me.
Gonna be fr, the aeons are admittedly horrifying (not design-wise obviously , coz otherwise I'd argue that IX is the most adorable looking one). And weirdly, because of that, I love them so much more than the other iterations of gods/godlike beings of other hyv games. They're so eldritch in a way that the herrschers of HI3 and archons of Genshin aren't, because at least in both cases, there are SOME remnants of humanity in them (both in design and desire). The aeons are literally concepts made manifest. They are not befriendable in the sense that you can be allies or comrade-in-arms with, nor are they capable of enough pettiness to hate anyone as insignificant as mortals. They are much more distant, beyond comprehension even. That way, it becomes quite a big fucking deal if any of them would even sneak a glance at someone, and the trailblazer has already caught the attention of THREE of them. I can see why Herta would be interested in studying them.

Aha sounds like entering a circus of impossible hallways, each section is more and less impossible than the last
IX sounds like entering an ocean of void, with each ounce of action even with your mind both affecting and unaffecting the distant nothing in your non existent view
Nous sounds like quite literally entering through its machinery
Lan is literally a bow, bland one way or another but great symbolism
Tayzzyronth sounds like entering a nest
Xipe sounds like a paradise compromised of every color, from red to black to yellow

+ Aha is intimidating, but mainly because you don't know what they'll do or consider to be a joke. But more likely they're most annoying aeon, than intimidating. Imo i think their followers are almost worse..?
+ IX's sound effect really does feel like there's no point. Good on the team, cooked on designs and sound.
+ When I first heard/encountered Nous in the SU it actually freaked me the hell out, and I think it's one of the few aeons that actually scare me. Also just reminds me of Portal.
+ Lan's chill, oddly feels like the most human out of all the aeons. Just like they're out for vengeance or something.
+ Tayzzyronth is weird and gross to me. I still don't understand why they're/it's so important.
+ Xipe used to freak me out. They seemed the most cultish, but somehow Ena managed to outdo that "homicidal unity" penacony had going on. I also love Ena and I have Sunday's unhinged lunacy (and their incredible design) to blame.
+ Qlipoth is odd. It doesn't feel like they're preserving anything, and the IPC feels like it's pulling a 'traitor on penacony' with not actually following them. And what the hell are they hammering?
+ The voracity has a...an interesting sound. Thing. That's all.
+ Nanook sounds the most normal, just fire or something crackling. Also looks the most normal, considering Xipe's got blue puzzle skin and the other human-looking ones have much more prominent nonhuman bits. I dont know why they're seen as the main enemy though, most of the aeons seem unhinged as a result of their aeonhood.
+ HooH also reminds me of Portal for obvious reasons. Second favorite design. Just a lil guy.
Yaoshi feels like a much bigger antagonist, considering their abundance also involves, like, cancerous growths and stuff. Are they the cause behind stellarons and whatever? I'd like to think the one aeon that would seem to have a pro instead of just cons would be the main issue in hsr but that's just me.
Fuli's noises or whatever are perfect. Another aeon i don't fully understand, but once again that's probably just me.
Mythus has my interest now with Gallagher. Sounds like a fork on a ceramic plate. Also probably the most hazardous aeon, but just because they're whole deal is making shit up. Would be interesting if a newer aeon or Aha itself absorbed Mythus, since they seem kinda similar or have similar goals.
Sorry for the whole ahh essay I'm just a nerd. Then again guess we all are, playing a gacha game and looking into the lore.
To clear things up with why Tayzzyronth the Propagation is so important:
During the swarm disaster, which Tayzzyronth caused, several eons that we are familiar with were not even existing. Tayzzyronth's actions and defeat led to the birth of Fuli, and to the demise of Ena, as she was assimilated by Xipe. The Propagation also set free Oroboros, as the Voracity was captured by Ena, and imprisoned in a secluded zone of galaxy, with little to no food (that changed when bugs bursted into that zone, and fed Oroborus with their flesh).
Qlipoth is hammering some sort of wall. Apparently each hit mark an amber era
While Mythus and Aha may seem to have similar motivations, elation and enigma as concepts are really different. It’s not so much about what the aeon themselves wants to accomplish that leads to assimilation, but as to what the path represents. Aha mostly just does shit for fun, whereas Mythus appears to have some sort of greater purpose to erasing knowledge.
Lan are not chill at all. They show no mercy to everyone including their followers. Lan even blow up an entire planet without mercy just to kill Abundance and to "cure" the people there from Abundance curse.

Gonna be fr, the aeons are admittedly horrifying (not design-wise obviously , coz otherwise I'd argue that IX is the most adorable looking one). And weirdly, because of that, I love them so much more than the other iterations of gods/godlike beings of other hyv games. They're so eldritch in a way that the herrschers of HI3 and archons of Genshin aren't, because at least in both cases, there are SOME remnants of humanity in them (both in design and desire). The aeons are literally concepts made manifest. They are not befriendable in the sense that you can be allies or comrade-in-arms with, nor are they capable of enough pettiness to hate anyone as insignificant as mortals. They are much more distant, beyond comprehension even. That way, it becomes quite a big fucking deal if any of them would even sneak a glance at someone, and the trailblazer has already caught the attention of THREE of them. I can see why Herta would be interested in studying them.
