These sisters are amazing!! They are in serious shape to be able to march/dance at the pace they did, in a small heel shoe, for five miles......simply amazing and gorgeous!! Way to go Stingettes!!!!
Thank you for the coverage. It was a great day for a parade. To the critics, the band sounded way better in person. You could hear the entire band, not just the front rows of brass instruments. And thank you to ASU for marching 5.5 miles non-stop!!!

My sentiments EXACTLY!! I felt proud as an African American to see us represented, especially in the Rose parade! Such an honorable moment to be in the beginning and they can add that to their resume! Idc how they sound, they looked GREAT!!
Very proud. At this level performance/appearance are way more important than the music. They could perform with just drums/beat and still be great to watch. For me, most college/university bands sound so similar--just fair, not what you would want to listen to in a concert hall. Assuming not many members are aiming for professional careers in music. They're still learning. March on!!!

Definitely disagree... it’s a parade.. the band has a parade formation and song list that they follow.. been doing it for decades now and the stingettes are a part of the band.. without the band there would be no stingettes.. we all wear the A
demarco summers - Why would they play 10-15 different songs in a parade of this length? It is a parade, they’re moving past totally different people throughout this grueling 5.5-mile route. Unless you were on the sidewalk following along or not watching this 43-minute video, you would not have known how many different songs they played. This is not a 5th-quarter battle.

Everybody always want a band to be in battle mode.... obviously somebody sees something in them for them to even open the parade over FAMU and other bands mentioned, which speaks volumes. I'm proud of them, and I'm from Tuskegee and they're our rivalries!!

For those inexperienced with bands, esp large ones, acoustics are bad outdoors, alters the sound, and the placement of various instruments, fluts, trombones, sex, bass, drums, can distort the music. Players can be 50 feet apart while playing a passage together so you hear only one part. This is an outdoor event and not a concert.
This is not the band that took me awe back in 2012...they need to go back and review the band that they had during the 2012 thru 2014 with that earth and teeth shattering percussion and brass section. From what I am hearing here they sound flat and sluggish..come guys get with it and bring that fierceness that have been known for if need be try to find the band members of the time mentioned and get their input drive especially the cymbals during when they had the Caucasian female playing that group of that time those guys were on fire and let us not forget that awesome percussion section i do belive it was the time they were wearing the vandetta masks.....come on guys bring it back....go mighty hornets

I marched in this parade when I was in high school, and I can assure you that I did not play every note, and I was a beast. During this parade, the adrenaline we were running on began to fade and the fatigue set in, and it was a fight to the end.

Why don’t every one watching this parade, get “your” walking shoes on, START MARCHING THE FIVE.FIVE MILES...and Remember each step, each note, correct foot, and the band director watching every move. ..... going up to the majorettes, what was his problem? (They are doing just great) These young people are doing their best. They are cold, tired, maybe hungry and very excited to be in California and the Rose Parade!!!! Thank them for performance. P.S. I was also thankful the young ladies and young men, was respectful to the public. Much nicer. Even though they all can really move their bodies, you don’t need to show it to the world.
So ASU as a school is pushing performing arts with dance and theatre. Which is great but this band is not showcasing musicality at all, and I am tired 😑.
because the sound gets distorted when you get too close to a band with a microphone. and i film by myself. sorry you’re disappointed but no. if i go up close and they start playing a song, my video will sound like shit. not to mention having to run back to the front while they are constantly moving forward. until you get out there and film for years (ALONE) this isn’t obvious
