Its not really innovation though. This has been tried before and it didnt really work out as planned. Instead of innovating in energy we should just be building large nuclear power plants. Once Vogtle was completed the ground work for the next plants should have been getting worked on. You drive down the cost of those large facilities by building them over and over again. The South Koreans have gone from first shovel in ground to producing power in less than 4 years. You get to that point by having a well trained workforce and all the supply chain built out to keep things moving forward.
