Thank you for your feedback. I teach languages the same way I learn them. Nothing helps a learner better than memory tricks, and I hope these samples inspire all Farsi students.
In Tajikistan we speak a form of Farsi which is called - Tajiki and in Tajiki-Farsi blue is-Kabood. Also recently it occurred to me that in Armenian blue is also kabood. However in Iranian-Farsi blue is aabi. Very interesting. God Bless and thank you for the lessons. Khoda Hafez ve salam az Tajikan! Zendeh Bashid.
I have watched several of your lessons before I found this "all-in-one" version. You really do a fantastic job of presenting these lessons and I appreciate the cultural aspects of Farsi you have added. You also have a very impressive on camera presence. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge of Farsi language and culture.
This is a letter which is written but not pronounced. It is simply to show that a word ends in the short vowel "e", because we normally do not write down the diacritics (we just know they are there). If you remove this letter from "سبزه" for example, the word would look like "سبز", which is another word. So it's necessary to keep “ه” to signal that there is an “e” at the end of this word to prevent the confusion.
selum i can speak urdu and so does many words from your lesson relates to it , interesting really , decided to learn farsi as the place im going next for higher studies im likely to find many iranis' there , thank you for your amazing yet easy to learn lessons , really helpful! koudaa hafez
Thank you for the wonderful video.I am from India and am learning Farsi from your video and so is my 5 year old son. He loves Farsi and we try to speak as much as we can.but as our vocabulary in Farsi is very limited we end up speaking a few words in Farsi and a few in English...like "eat apple" becomes "eat seeb!" etc. one day we hope to speak Farsi.
1. Aabi - blue , Aab - water 2. Ghermez - red Maybe it has come from Gherm - hot 3. Sabz - green, Sabzi - Green vegetable, 4. Car - maashin Blue car - Maashin-e-aabi , Red car - Maashin-e-ghermez, Green car - Maashin-e-sabz Thank you teacher !
I would like to thank you so much for making this account. I really appreciate it and you are helping me a lot. Trying to teach yourself is very challenging and you're a talented teacher. again. thank you.
Salaam, haalam khoobe, shomaa chetorin? I'm glad hearing that you love Iranian culture, and I wish you success with learning Farsi. Let me know if you ever need online classes, and, kheyli mamnoon :-)
Merci! someone I care about deeply is Iranian and I wanted to learn his language; and say some sweet things to him in his native tongue to try and win him back..so thanks! and I work with alot of Persians so it's also nice to know the language. and I didn't want to have to go out and buy Rosetta Stone.
Salaam. You will add "y" in those cases, to make the pronunciation smooth: "gorbe-y-e sefid", and yes, you can use it when "e" is used as "of" as well :-)
@MomoFuzzDrum You're welcome. I'm glad you find my lessons useful. Let me know if you ever get tempted to try couple of online classes with me in order to learn how to have a Farsi conversation with your grandparents... I'm sure they'll love it :-)
@Lycanus I live in the US as mentioned under "About Me" on my RUclips homepage. Let me know if you'd like to take online Farsi classes with me at any point.
سلام ,,چطوری ؟ احتیاجم ام درس بشتر از شم تینا,, i am arabian and try to learn farsi ,,you did a good job here and i am enjoy with your lessons,,i wrote this sentence in farsi and hope its right ,,thanks
Salaam FW, thank you for this opportunity to learn your language. One question regarding your response to sd md hussaini your connector came after the adjective, however, in the video you mentioned it must come between the noun and the adjective so -e would be inbetween....your message notated the connector -e after the color, last. Is there an exception I am missing? Thank you!
Salaam. Thank you for an amazing series! :-) I have a question regarding the connector "e". For nouns that end in e, how would it work? Is it just another e, with another intonation? For example, would "white cat" be pronounced as "gorbe-e sefid", or does it merge into "gorbe sefid"? I guess this also applies to situations where e is used as "of", like in my cat, "gorbe-e man". Thanks again! :-)
+Warda Sakina Salaam :-) Well, learning the accent is part of learning the language... they are not two separate concepts. If you have a good teacher, you will learn everything with the right accent right from the beginning :-)
Salaam chetere? I learn some sentences in Farsi and I am doing a research for my Linguistics class. Can you help me in that. I would love to learn more
I have question. I know in farsi common name for red is قرمز or سرخ but in some Farsi poetry it was written لل referring to red. It said لب لل which is Lab e Lal or red lips. Now days لل and سرخ is used commenly in Urdu . Do farsi speaking people still say لل when referring to red or was it just in old poetry and not used any more?
Salam Mrs. Tina :) Hope all is well wid u .. Ma question is : which one is better for spelling machin-e-abii in persian ? ماشينه آبي ? or the one you wrote ماشينِ آبي ? Thank u, wish u all the best Salam / Khoda hafez :)
ماشینِ آبی will be "blue car" ماشینه will mean "It's a car" So, the "connector" you use between the noun and the adjective will never be written out as "ه"; but the conversational "is" can be written as "ه".
I was wondering if "red moon", like the one you see during a total lunar eclipse (there was one today, 20/21-01-2018), would be "mâh-e qermez" in Persian.
It is Qermerz. "Q" stands for a glottal consonant that doesn't exist in English. It's like an emphatic "g", that's why it's been transliterated as "gh".
Salam, i just wanna know .... and i saw in previous video your saying ..... For Example if we wanted to say Car is blue (machine e arbz) , if i wanna say my bike is silver color ? what should say madam. mercy
Thank you for your feedback. I teach languages the same way I learn them. Nothing helps a learner better than memory tricks, and I hope these samples inspire all Farsi students.
Your teaching approach with 'memory triggers' is intelligent and very useful for anyone learning and remembering.
Thank you very much for excellent teaching.

Hello, how are you? I am Emad, from Morocco, the city of Marrakesh. Do you remember me? 😊😊😊
We also have "Sorkh" as you mentioned, as a synonym for "Ghermez". By the way, I love Dari :-)

Now days لل and سرخ is used commenly in Urdu . Do farsi speaking people still say لل when referring to red or was it just in old poetry and not used any more?
Thank you for your question. The word لعل in modern Farsi is only used in poetry. It is interesting that in Urdu it is still common.
Salam Mrs. Tina :)
Hope all is well wid u .. Ma question is : which one is better for spelling machin-e-abii in persian ? ماشينه آبي ? or the one you wrote ماشينِ آبي ?
Thank u, wish u all the best
Salam / Khoda hafez :)
ماشینِ آبی
will be "blue car"
ماشینه will mean "It's a car"
So, the "connector" you use between the noun and the adjective will never be written out as "ه"; but the conversational "is" can be written as "ه".
ok :) so .. do ماشينه آبي has an another meaning ?
Thanks
Best regards :)
It won't have any meaning :-)
I was wondering if "red moon", like the one you see during a total lunar eclipse (there was one today, 20/21-01-2018), would be "mâh-e qermez" in Persian.
Yes :-) Also, "maah-e sorkh" will be correct.
Mamnoon, @@FarsiWizardPlus jaan!
