I'm an Indian and I found some similarities between Indo-European languages and Persian. Your name's "Anita" that's also the name of many Indian girls. In Sanskrit it means - graceful. Two glorious ancient civilisations had a good connection and of course I should mention Zend Avesta where there are many vedic sanskrit words such as "Angirasa"(the rishi associated with Atharvaveda). And of course Cyrus,The great who used to import war elephants from India. Many persian origins also live in India who migrated after Arab conquest.

Yes, Persian language has heavy influence on Indian languages including Urdu...
Actually, Urdu (pakistani language) is a mixture of 3 languages; persian, arabic and turkish. Therefore, it seems similar to all three languages because all our words, grammar, tenses are derived from these 3 languages.
