Surtur used to synergize with Typhoid Mary. It didn't care about being -1'd. Since it'd go from 11 to 10 power when you had two 10 power cards. Now it goes from 10 to 9. Same thing with Skaar now. I wonder if these decks will keep running Typhoid. Black Widow getting clapped is weird, but also kinda makes sense. The main issue with her is when she gets hit by Grandmaster, into Misery, and you just want to uninstall after. But it was a pretty niche interaction.
Surtur still needs two cards to be 10 power to activate Skaar or be vulnerable to Shang Chi still. If he was lower, he wouldn't get to 10 power as easily which would ruin him. A 3/4 is perfect, because now you can't combine him with Typhoid Mary like before and still have above 10 power.
This OTA.. was honestly disheartening, and it feels like one of the final nails in the coffin. Last month, the meta was... Agent venom. The vast majority of high performing decks included him, the challenge for those not playing AV was figuring out which varient it was while also hoping they didnt AV on 2. This was answered by buffing shadow king, but most venom decks had their power come out on turn 6, meaning they didnt have innitiative anyways. This month, they decide to go to the source, and nerf Surtur directly... except the nerf is so minor its not going to have any notable difference. Setting him to a 3/3 would have at least made it harder to activate skarr while still having a typical 3/15 (which is still gross). The message they seem to have for us is simple; If you want to have fun, you have to pay for it. I suspect the meta will change drastically, with AV no longer being so strong, but Surtur being effectively left alone, is going to just warp the meta around him, as AV did last month, as next months season pass card likely will. ... I have played a lot of Crystal in Sera Control unironically. Maximus + Crystal + Leech was the combo I used. Very strong against Destroy, good against Hela and Patriot (low rank decks you see a lot when climbing). Alioth is also a very powerful Sera counter, and Leech does kind of counter that. Crystal was really nice in those decks because you don't really care if certain decks draw all their cards, because as long as you draw your perfect counter card, you just win. Invisible Woman + Killmonger, Shadow King on the Brood location etc.
I think the Surtur nerf is more impactful than people think. Now you only need a 1 point reduction to keep it below 10 power, and therefore keep it from making Skaar free after playing two other 10s. Now you only need one of Hazmat or Scorpion (or Cassandra Nova, but if their Surtur is getting Cass'd then they have bigger problems on their hands) to get rid of the card's main selling point.

thats absolutely not true… The amount of seasonpass cards that are nerfed is very low. Its just objectively wrong what you sad. Just look back at past seasonpass cards and you will see
I would be curious to here the devs explain why we actually want to play Thanos to the field. Best case scenario, he's a 5/20 that cannot be destroyed and you can play anywhere. That sounds great, but happens so infrequently and fails to address how you win another lane. I just don't know what the payoff is supposed to be with playing him, which is the same problem they said they were trying to address when they made this fundamental change to the stones.
I hate that they wait to the season ends to make this changes, when gilgamesh came out they buff the card immediately because the card sucks. So they only makes this changes when people are not buying the season pass.
Unsurprising but disappointing that the 2 cards least impacted by their nerfs are Agent Venom and Surtur, it's like they were trying to make it look like they cared while still leaving the season pass cards OP.
@@Gahnt999 It doesn't play like it is much worse, if you drop on turn 2 at most you are losing out on 3 power (+1 from venom, -4 if you play every card that you drew afterward). Definitely hit harder than Surtur though.

Nerfing Agent Venom right after he leaves the Season Pass and nerfing Surtur conveniently after seeing the drop in Steam and Android player numbers feels incredibly shady. It’s hard not to think that Second Dinner is more focused on maximizing profits than delivering a balanced and enjoyable game. The meta only seems to get addressed when their bottom line is threatened. If the Steam Charts hadn't tanked, I doubt they would’ve done anything at all.
Thanos feels so much better, but the stones are still very weak. I used a surtur thanos deck to push the last little bit to infinite after the patch. Felt decent.

We don’t need (just) ota. We need to obtain cards more easily, more respect for the players(give us a series 5 for ex, put in conquest not only series 3 and give us more events.
SD needs to do a better job play testing these season pass cards. Releasing an OP card for $10 and then immediately nerfing just feels real bad. It needed to happen, but it’s not a good look.
53% win rate isn't a bad thing. Just because we enjoyed the card and played a lot is not a reason to nerf agent venom. Skarr becomes useful for the first time since Thanos got wrecked annnnnd nerf
Its not the 53% winrate. Its the inpact that it has on the meta. I envy most of you for not beeing able to think in complex ways tho… If a deck that is broken and its counters are the only decks in the meta, the stats will show that the deck is fine, but in reality, that deck just gatekeeps most decks to even enter the meta

Did they really HAVE to nerf Silver Sable? These nerfs were designed to hit Alex's Grandmaster-Venom deck. I loved that deck so much so this is your fault Alex!!! 😅
The usual OTA shenanigans: nerf the best deck and add some useless buffs. When was the last time they've reworked a card because +1 power is not a significant buff if the effect is bad anyways. Also I've seen a comment which said the nerfs should be mostly for broken cards/combinations not a strong deck with decent counters which will fade out naturally. I fully agree with that

Been playing for 17 months. I really liked the changes at first as they made gameplay fresh. Now I feel like they have no idea what's going on because they are releasing new cards too fast and can't test correctly.
Every time the likes of you say that SD has no idea, but time ad time again, you are proved wrong. Because most changes impct the game much more than you will admit. Aka they what they are doing, and you have no idea what they are doing
@Rambrus0 I'm speaking in hyperbole of course. But we've seen Ms Marvel, shadowking, bloodstone, and others bounce back and fourth so much. I know what you're saying, there's a lot of impact new cards have but they are pretty consistently achanging new cards people pay for. You have to understand how that gets frustrating? It seems like they make it strong to sell a card then nerf it recently.
@@Sean-xc9im but thats absolutely not true tho. You can look at the cards that were relased in the last couple of months, only a couple of them got nerfed, and a couple of them got buffed and still suck
@Rambrus0 we can go back to a larger sample size but I'm not just talking season pass. Arashim is another example of spending your money on a card that gets changed in a month. MMM, Annihilus, all cards that were strong and were nerfed in short order. Annihilus hung on a bit longer. It's going to happen from time to time, I get that, but you have to understand that it frustrates people.
How is Thanos not better than the old America Chavez? Black Widow is a huge nerf. I play Activate cards all the time. JJ deserves the buff, but thats not the one. Saw the Sable one coming, when power creep happens again, please give it back.

Nah nah they destroyed agent venom, trash nerf right there, it's killing all the fun deck tou could do with venom, ruining wiccanbounce, ruining usagent-manthing control
Something missing there (cuz basically was just drop now) was that Malekith effect now works as properly intended. It now checked the Base Cost of the card instead of a Modified Cost, meaning plays with Pixie and other ways to reduce Cost to cards will not work. That's a good change imo.
As I predicted, when AV will be in spotlight it won't be this good anymore. So P2W players can beat my ass and I'll get this. Probably actually nerfed again before coming into spotlight caches.
Man, if I had a nickel for every time we hear "x is pay for y's crimes" when talking about cards getting nerfed thanks to new power creep cards. I'm so sick of new cards coming out and breaking old cards so they nerf the old cards we already have so that we have to buy the new ones to stay competitive. I'm tired, boss..
Biggest ota that changed... nothing. Surtur decks just lost 1-2 power PER GAME. Meanwhile much weaker agent venom decks are losing 3-5 power just from this one card. Let's be honest - nothing will change after this. No series drops announcement either. I kinda want to give up on snap.
Literally agent venom and especially silver sable is a dead card. Games where you spend money to get cards and limited tokens just to get nerfed are the worst kind of games.
You didn't throw your money away. You got a card and everything that came with the season pass. This has happened to at least five other season pass cards before. Calm the hell down. This is the nature of a Mobile game and you have to accept It or stop playing
Thanos is clearly the winner. Fantastic change. Agent Venom, Surtur and Skaar nerfs are fine. Cuts theyre ceilling a bit without making the cards trash. Crystal, Destroyer, Jessica Jones and Heimdall points were kinda free to give. But lets be honest, Heimdall is the only there that is somewhat playable. Shadow King revert was clear too. Silver Sable nerf hurts my heart, i dont think it was neccesary. Valentina change is ok i guess, but you almost never play that card in a non Luke Cage deck, so whatever. Winter Soldier buff is okey, the card aint bad but Destroy has a very tight deck i dont think he makes the cut Finally, i couldnt love more the change to Black Widow. Getting Black Widowed T3 into Grandmaster/AbsorbingMan on turn 4 into Misery on turn 5 was unbearable. Not something that neccesarily made you lose the game, but very frustrating and boring to play against. Not drawing in 3 of the 6 turns is a nightmare.

This OTA has decimated my C3 deck :(. Wish I didn't bother with Frigga now. This and the fact that when I spend keys I always get a dupe, even though my series collection are far from complete. Get the sinking feeling these dev's are out to get me.
Surtur will still be busted 😂
Can’t play typhoid on him without losing skarr synergy now 😢
Yeah pointless change
@@LoganCoymandon't play skarr just play another high power 6 like Magento for an example, the Skarr tech died but trust some mad man will find something else
@@jeremycuddy2778 why would skaar synergy be dead? 2 procs and surtur is 3/10. Skaar 0 cost on T6
Surtur change affects being able to play Typhoid Mary on him and still get to 10 to discount Skarr.
wow them nerfing cards after they made their money from them......what a surprise
You don't think it should've been nerfed?
Have you tried crying more?
@@Phantazmay It never should have been released OP.
@ sorry it’s hard to hear you over that boot down your throat
@myicedlight hear? This is a text only chat. Are you saying you're illiterate?
MY GLORIOUS KING BUFFED
If they are going to nerf season pass cards so early, there should be compensation
Everything you buy, you dis so while knowing exactly that it could change any time. They didnt do anything you didnt agree to.
Marvel snap if you read this
Y’all ain’t slick! thats the last time I spend money on your game. good luck to anybody staying around. it’s clear they don’t give a fuck about the game, only to squeeze every last dollar out of you with the bombardment of boosters and overpriced variation of cards or other cards you can simply get for free by playing the game. The shop has hardly any rewards for free to play players. I understand that a game needs to make money in order to keep it alive, but at this point, it’s just insulting to the people that actually buy what you’re selling. With the constant Nerfing and reworking of cards that you buy from the previous season.
thats absolutely not true… The amount of seasonpass cards that are nerfed is very low. Its just objectively wrong what you sad. Just look back at past seasonpass cards and you will see
So now its easier to dodge Spider Ham weith Thanos ?
Thanks for the video and the information.
Why Thanos still starts in leftmost position in Your hand?
I would be curious to here the devs explain why we actually want to play Thanos to the field. Best case scenario, he's a 5/20 that cannot be destroyed and you can play anywhere. That sounds great, but happens so infrequently and fails to address how you win another lane. I just don't know what the payoff is supposed to be with playing him, which is the same problem they said they were trying to address when they made this fundamental change to the stones.
I hate that they wait to the season ends to make this changes, when gilgamesh came out they buff the card immediately because the card sucks. So they only makes this changes when people are not buying the season pass.
Dude take off a the tinfoil hat and enjoy the fresh air in the meta
Unsurprising but disappointing that the 2 cards least impacted by their nerfs are Agent Venom and Surtur, it's like they were trying to make it look like they cared while still leaving the season pass cards OP.
Dude Agent Venom got nuked
@@Gahnt999 It doesn't play like it is much worse, if you drop on turn 2 at most you are losing out on 3 power (+1 from venom, -4 if you play every card that you drew afterward). Definitely hit harder than Surtur though.
I think cozy got it right they buffed shadow king to get people to realize how good he was and now that they do they return him back to before. I dont think its going to change how much people use him that much tbh.
I'm holding out hope that I'll have a reason to play my Crystal pixel variant at some point.
Thanos feels so much better, but the stones are still very weak. I used a surtur thanos deck to push the last little bit to infinite after the patch. Felt decent.
6:13 I had NO idea Agatha was an ADDITIONAL card! I thought she was like Quicksilver where she just started in your hand with one of the pre filled slots! I don't know or pay attention to all the card numbers. I had no idea Agatha was different until this update!🙀
Heimdall needs to have an option of moving cards left/right 💯
And why did you have to point out that CRYSTAL’S text it off center!?!?! I will never be able to UNSEE THIS!!!! 🫥
I love when alex hits us with that Arrraña 💃🕷🇵🇷🇲🇽
Man, how surprising that they wait after the pass to nerf the season pass card 🤣
they literally nerfed surtur tho, making your point irrelevant
@@ElMarlish^
Man how surprising that some people will never be happy
You didnt just say that while looking at the Surtur nerf 🤡
We don’t need (just) ota. We need to obtain cards more easily, more respect for the players(give us a series 5 for ex, put in conquest not only series 3 and give us more events.
SD needs to do a better job play testing these season pass cards. Releasing an OP card for $10 and then immediately nerfing just feels real bad. It needed to happen, but it’s not a good look.
Agent venom nerf caused me to delete 3 decks and widow nerf made me take her out of 2 decks it was a sad day 😢
53% win rate isn't a bad thing.
@Rambrus0 wow you certainly are an arrogant little b!-ch aren't you.. you should learn basic spelling before you make smug and disrespectful comments about the cognitive capabilities of others.
Did they really HAVE to nerf Silver Sable?
These nerfs were designed to hit Alex's Grandmaster-Venom deck. I loved that deck so much so this is your fault Alex!!! 😅
dam I loved my agent venom surfer deck
The usual OTA shenanigans: nerf the best deck and add some useless buffs. When was the last time they've reworked a card because +1 power is not a significant buff if the effect is bad anyways. Also I've seen a comment which said the nerfs should be mostly for broken cards/combinations not a strong deck with decent counters which will fade out naturally. I fully agree with that
they dont rework cards in Otas. And also these are very impacful changes. You should try them out instead of bullshitting
How the mighty have fallen of so many cards Thanos doesn’t even need to be a big bad anymore at this point
Thanos is a buff…
@ is he meta and when the last time has he been top 15 deck or someone made inf with him…
@@Trell148 Big Bad doesnt mean to be meta relevant. It means morphing the games rules to an extreme.
@@Rambrus0 what has kang morphed into the extreme since his release. Old Thanos style was considered a unique style now he’s collecting dust unless folks wanna try random stuff when they get into inf
@ I strugge to understand that you are either stupid or just cant understand what im saying… Those cards morph the games rules and how the game is played… Kang literally lets you rewind a turn which is as extreme as you can get.
@ it frustrated people who are unwilling to accept the neccesaty of these changes. Sadly, SD cant fix stupid.
How is Thanos not better than the old America Chavez?
Black Widow is a huge nerf. I play Activate cards all the time.
JJ deserves the buff, but thats not the one.
Saw the Sable one coming, when power creep happens again, please give it back.
Its not better because he shuffled 6 cards into your deck
My affliction deck getting nerfed because of sins of bounce.
Bro, 2/5 Agent Venom. And we have 2/5 lizard.
Grazie Alessandro
♥️
Haven’t played in over a year… but I see second dinner still has no idea what they are doing with their card balance lol
How so
Maybe they understand the current meta better than you do
So you dont play the game, but want to play the smart guy while having no idea what is going on in the game. The irony 🤡🤡🤡
I'm happy with this OTA but please can we get a buff for White Queen, she's useless honestly
not sure how i feel about this OTA feels meh felt like there was alot of uncessery buffs and nerfs more irrelavent and to a point made no sense guess we are the devs guine pigs testing this all out
Cracked is certainly the word of the day
Power creep is real!
Now I can’t play crystal in my c3 deck😭
Nah nah they destroyed agent venom, trash nerf right there, it's killing all the fun deck tou could do with venom, ruining wiccanbounce, ruining usagent-manthing control
Dang they havent changed. Still nerfing the s3 cards. Smh
I love the Thanos buff
This surtur nerf is a joke and won't change anything and will be nerfed again before the end of the year. But my silver sable nerf hurts my soul.
It hurts the deck a lot more than you think, but for that you would need to actually use your brain to understand
Nooo Agent Venom :(
Developers make bots more competitive with players
"One of the biggest bads to have ever badded". Spoiler alert folks, it is NOT Kang.
Something missing there (cuz basically was just drop now) was that Malekith effect now works as properly intended. It now checked the Base Cost of the card instead of a Modified Cost, meaning plays with Pixie and other ways to reduce Cost to cards will not work. That's a good change imo.
Anyone else having trouble loading into snap today?
As I predicted, when AV will be in spotlight it won't be this good anymore. So P2W players can beat my ass and I'll get this. Probably actually nerfed again before coming into spotlight caches.
This Dev team is actually terrible.
If you spent money on this game, you got scammed.
Worst dev team ever
Cry more fr
Im still at work but jeez I feel like i need to watch this at home with some popcorn
Stupid ass second dinner. Surtur should be 3/0.
I haven't even finished the spotlight cache video yet!
Crystal should be a 3/6 at least, maybe 3/7.
Second Dinner nailed it, as usual 😊
Biggest ota that changed... nothing. Surtur decks just lost 1-2 power PER GAME. Meanwhile much weaker agent venom decks are losing 3-5 power just from this one card. Let's be honest - nothing will change after this. No series drops announcement either.
I kinda want to give up on snap.
Literally agent venom and especially silver sable is a dead card. Games where you spend money to get cards and limited tokens just to get nerfed are the worst kind of games.
So I've paid for season pass to get Agent Venom and he was smashed one month later...awesome move SD. Just threw money out of the window.
Lol stop overreacting. It's still a good card
First time buying something online I see 😂
Bro tfff. Agent Venom is absolutely cracked still. 0 downside and a bloody 2/5 which is the same statline as LIZARD. Literally broken still
Yeaaa he's still cracked, just not AS cracked.
You didn't throw your money away. You got a card and everything that came with the season pass. This has happened to at least five other season pass cards before. Calm the hell down. This is the nature of a Mobile game and you have to accept It or stop playing
Gorrgan 😂
Funny you and KM have same RUclips video title 😂
Lol damn great minds think alike I guess 🤣
Bounce can never keep a win very long 😢
I LITERALLY just bought Sable man
Welp f this game.
They need to buff the guardian cards...
ok sure, we all knew it was gonna happen, but THE AGENT VENOM NERF FEELS LIKE ABSOLUTE HOT GARBAGE STUFFED DOWN MY THROAT
I like the changes but they should have hit discard, the deck is so boring
Winter Soldier buff is okey, the card aint bad but Destroy has a very tight deck i dont think he makes the cut
Finally, i couldnt love more the change to Black Widow.
