great job with that sissy bar that is exactly what i want for my Harley Davidson Fatboy .
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Impressive work David! It’s a shame you didn’t continue to post videos.
Wow! Such a great job!
Thank you!
Good job 👏
The satisfaction you get from making your own sissy bar is a bonus for the satisfaction of having and using it.
Well done.
Ever think about going into the fabrication biz ? I have an '04 Fat Boy that could use one.
Very true! Thanks Jersey J. Yes I did think about making these as a side business, but I recently started working for Harley-Davidson Motor Co, so I cant have a business that would compete or conflict with my job.
Nice man! I'm doing one very similar.
Muito bom! Ficou show, vou fazer um para minha Fat bob FXDF aqui no Brazil!
Thank you! Good luck on building yours!
Cara, eu moro aqui nos EUA, esse cara é muito bom. Vou fazer um TB...
Tenho um canal aqui com umas paradas diy....
As perfect as it can be. Kudos !!
Thank you!

Blew my ear drums out with the dang grinder an chop saw!! But good video
Haha sorry man! Thats why I wore ear protection lol... Yeah, I had no clue how to record and mix audio when I made this video.
That was badass man, great video.

Man
I love your hockey
Sydney Crosby in the house on Harleys
😆 As a hockey fan myself, I'll take Crosby as my doppelganger. Haha
Nice Job Bro. Needs more volume and light. But nice job.
Thanks man. Yea, I've got a microphone now for my new videos
Get down bro, make more videos your bad ass
Nice job man!
Thanks Michael!
Thanks Michael
You need night vision glasses to see what you are doing..LOL!! Next Video.. Try turning the lights on? Good job though.
Just friendly advice.
Nice job!
Hey man that's a great job but i would really appreciate if you can share the tube size and the metal sheet size, thank you so much bro
Thanks man. Its 5/8 inch solid round stock. The plate is 1/8 inch.
É de cano de ferro ou de barra compacta de ferro?
this looks sick man, nicely done. what size materials did you use? Cold rolled steel for the bar and sheet steel for the plates?
Thanks man! Yup I used 5/8" round stock. 1/8" sheet steel.
Hi, could you give the dimensions? the height of the whole or what length bar you used, the thickness of the bar, the diameter of the circle around which you bent the top. Metal sheet thickness etc. Please 🙂
5/8" solid round steel. Plates atlre 1/8" thick. Sissy bar is 26" high above the top of the fender struts (measured perpendicular to the fender struts)
@@dafigie great, thanks 👍 btw after writing the question, I noticed that you already answered such questions 🙂
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Did you think of the jig like that by yourself or did you find a design you went off of?
Yes, first I took some measurements on the bike. Then sketched up how I wanted the sissy bar to look. From there, I came up with the jig design.
I appreciate the help thank you!
Looks great! Do you know what your total cost in supply’s was?
Thanks Andrew! It was probably about $60
Now i know how Ray Charles feels
Okay... That made me laugh. Yea the night I did the bending, I was originally set out just to make a sissy bar, filming it was kind of a last minute decision. Hope the video helped you at least in some small way.
How tall is this?
Its 26" tall measured from the top of the fender struts
Hey David, what's the height of the bar from mounting point?
It came out to be 26 inches high, measured perpendicular to the top of the fender struts. So about 26.5 to the mounting holes.
@@dafigie thanks 😊
What size did you drill for the holes
I drilled them 1/2 inch for the side plates. After powder coating, they ended up smaller though and I had to drill them again. To make it easer on yourself, id go 9/16 inch diameter.
VIDEO TOO DARK CANT SEE PROCEDURES IN DETAIL
They always play goofy heavy metal music. Try something, anything different…..oh yeah…..I liked the work.
I can’t see anything! 😂
I was going to make a pun about the title but...I’m too much of a sissy.
Hahaha
👍🏻👍🏻
