This is perfect! Thank you for this video. I got the Kubi dryglove System in February and my local scuba store sent me home with the glove system and a link to a you tube video on how to install them. The link didn’t work, but I was told that it is so easy I shouldn’t have a problem. This was not at all the case. It was terrible without instructions, so after watching another RUclips video and installing the seal on the cuff, it turned out all crooked and I’m pretty sure it’s not right. This has been so incredibly frustrating....I’ve not tried them. They better be the most amazing thing. Lol, this video really helps!
Thanks for the video! I heard the Kubi gloves don't work that well with silicone seals. Have you had any experience with the that either good or bad? Or even heard others comment on it? I want to get the Kubi rings (glued in) but also want silicone wrist and neck seals if possible
A question for the next Q&A - i consider switching to backplate. Do you recommend just putting led on a belt or adding pockets to the harness? For now I prefer the comfort of quick-release jacket pockets over belt, but maybe I'm wrong in this?
I'm sure Mark will have a good response for this. IMO, a weight belt is better. My current set up is a single tank backplate and wing but I find putting weights on the harness (the ends which go around your waist) makes it harder to kit up, as the weights pull the ends down behind your back. Also having all your weight on the BP+W makes passing your kit up to a RHIB more difficult. I would recommend non-ditchable pockets on your cam bands, most of the weight on a weight belt, and then, if required, 1 or 2kg on each end of the harness.
There's no right or wrong, just personal preference. So, if you like integrated weights then go for it. Personally I don't, just because, as clarky says, it makes your BCD very heavy and it limits where your lead is placed. You're also trusting the clips holding your lead not to fail, so far a weightbelt has never failed me.
On a totally different subject Marky Mark did you hear that video games developers are starting to stop using the 👌 sign in games! In some cases they are reprogramming games to replace it! All it needs is PADI to stop using it and it might eventually die from scuba as well!!
I've just started drysuit diving this spring and love drysuit gloves. A lot more dexterity than neoprene ones. I use the Santi Smart Gloves system which is easy and works well. No experience with others. The black Santi gloves were quite thick and I've replaced them with Showa 720 gloves with a thin underglove. I like them a lot. They're tough, but made from Nitrile so still flexible. Also, they're blue so nicely visible smurf gloves. They have a thin cloth liner, which is comfortable, but it means that mounting them the way you show in this video would leak. After putting on the o-ring, you don't fold the glove outward but inward. Then put the cosmetic cover over it to seal it. Hard to explain. This video shows exactly how it's done: ruclips.net/video/3IQE7f7vGDc/видео.html Would be cool if you could cover those kinds of gloves in a followup video.
Thanks Mark for the video! 💃💃💃 Does anyone have any experience with the Fourth element eclipse system?

Another great vid.

People used to scoff at me for spelling RHIB with an H. It's nice to see somebody else spell it properly

Yeah, I saw some new story about it the other day. They can pry our OK symbol from our cold, dead, dry gloves...
