  • The Treadmill Review Guru reviews the NordicTrack Audiostrider 990 Pro elliptical.
    *****************
UPDATE!!! I lied when I said the stride isn't adjustable. It actually does adjust from 20" to 23". I couldn't figure out how to do it but I'm sure it's not too difficult.
    ******************
    It's a nice, quiet elliptical.

You're right! I read that after I shot the video. I looked around the machine for a while and could not figure out how to adjust it. I'll have to read the manual.
I'll make a note in the description. Thanks for reminding me!

Great review! I'm thinking of purchasing this, but noticed one thing you said you can't change the stride...I just read this on the website...
"Plus, for multi-user families, each individual can personalize their stride from 20 - 23" to stay comfortable or target different muscle groups!"
    Just to let you know.

I have an Audiostrider 990 that I bought in November 2010. It is heading to the scrap heap because the main support bar in the back wheel that the pedals and drive belt connect to completely broke in half :( I think it is an older model than what you have here though.

@dynamitecandyman the weight capacity on the Proform 990 is 325lbs. On the NordicTrack Audiostrider 990 Pro the weight capacity is 350 so the NordicTrack is the better choice. It will do great under that weight. It's a very solid machine (while remaining easy to maneuver).

im debating between this one or a proform 990 CSE mainly cause of the high weight capacity (im about 350) any thoughts?

I have the 990 audiostrider - but it does not look anything like what you have in the video! Is this a different model???
Bought it straight from Nordictrack over internet.

Hi..im just about to buy this piece of equipment..my main concern now is whether this model suitable for home use or commercial purpose?

    • @treadmillreviewguru4347
      @treadmillreviewguru4347  10 лет назад

It is great for home use. It's not commercial grade in that a gym should buy some. FreeMotion is the Icon Fitness line for high end commercial stuff. If you want to buy nordictrack, be sure to get a coupon at nordictrackcoupon.com first.

Thank for the advise..and any advise on the maintenance aspect of Crosstrainer/Elliptical? since the equipment does not use motor to operate, is there anything else i need to be alert?

***** I would have some lubricant and oil designed for use on exercise equipment. Apply it twice a year or more if you use the elliptical a lot. Helps keep things moving smoothly.

On which part of the equipment should i apply the oil/lubricant?

    Nice video but...20 - 23" Adjustable Stride
Target different muscle groups for even faster results with adjustable stride on the AudioStrider 990 Pro Elliptical. Shorter strides mimic walking while the extra-long 23" stride replicates a running gait.

Treadmill Guru, I need your help! I have the 990 model and it has been making this awful squeaking sounds that seems to be coming from the rear wheel area. I cannot figure it out. I've cleaned & lubricated. I can't seem to find anything online about how to resolve this.

If it is still under warranty I would contact Nordictrack directly. Another good resource I use when I have trouble with any of my machines is www.treadmilldoctor.com. The Treadmill Doctor is fantastic at helping me get things figured out. Good luck!
