Great review! I had an older version of one of these about a year back. Returned it after a week. It would randomly lose connection and the aux output was horrible. Very tinny. Otherwise I love the screen and Apple Carplay ability on an old 2008 car. Nice to see it has the auto dimming display which should be standard on anything car related.
We watched the video you posted about Carplay and your explanation and installation of the product was really great and very easy for customers to listen to and understand, and we're excited because we want to give you a free Atoto car radio to review!
excellent review - the 25-30 sec delay every time you start is a problem. I wonder if you can connect charger--> powerbank--> this device. This would keep it powered when the car is turned off, and then the car charger would charge the powerbank when the car is on. DOes that make sense?
That setup with the power bank would work to keep it on, but then the screen will stay on when you turn off the car. For a road trip with multiple stops, it would be a good solution, but for daily use, I personally would find having to turn it off manually and turn it back on a hassle.
There is a newer version now, looks the same unit but software has a new look as well as it can come with 6/128GB configuration. Only found 1 seller who sells it on AliExpress and reviews are not so good but hope it can be fixed with just a software update.

Nice explanation. Thank you. For this device there's a reported issue: it disconnects from your phone whenever your phone is near an open wifi signal.

How do you download offline Navigation app for iPhone and android systems?
For Android I use Sygic and I've tried MapFactor. They're in the google play store.

The simple one works better. Why do you need all these apps on a car radio unit?
Because you leave your phone alone and use music app + google map
Android Auto restricts the apps you can use through it
