This is going from funny to just plain sad imo. I feel like Artosis I psychologically trapped in a game that’s not the one he remembers but can’t move on.
Man this comment really got me for some reason... "psychologically trapped" 😆 I think everyone develops a love/hate relationship to StarCraft but Artosis's fixation does seem to border on the pathological at times. 😆 Then again, if you get into anything insanely difficult at a super high level maybe you're doomed to develop a love/hate obsession.

Yeah, he once was at a super high level. And always hallucinating. Now his boomer hand can't perform high apm... Also his old man mentality can't adjust to fresh new starts and preventing him evolve.

You watch anyone else playing in KR, not only are they playing wall-to-wall smurfs, but they're almost always doing placement matches themselves.
And also totally contradicts that statement later on with that rant about there being no "A rank" and wondering why koreans don't talk about that "problem". So either he's alone experiencing it, or everyone else experiences it. Which is it RT_?

Part of me feels bad for Arty cause SC1 requires shit tons of busy work to do very little, so he always looks like he's trying not to shit his pant... but then he does stupid shit and blames it on the other player.
I doubt he faces any more smurfs than anyone else but I do think that's his one complaint that's legitimate. The whole point is to get around the game's attempt to matchmake in a way that's fair and fun for both players.
Ive never felt worst just for laughing at some1 who plays video games all day. And I have laughed at autistic children :/

He was casting a streamer tournament and then got covid, so he's down for awhile.
The first mistake was pretty bad. I think players of all levels know what it’s like to mismanage a control group and watch it get absolutely wiped out. Still, the tilt is gonna hold him back forever. I don’t know how anyone stays this persistent when their mental state holds them back this hard. Even if his mmr is stuck A how could you play the game and dislike it this much at the same time. If you’re gonna rage like that, you might as well give up

What's the problem smurfing? People who are good face people on their same level. What is he complaining about? Could someone please explain
Artosis believes he should be higher ranked so he can get "real" practice against people of equal skill. Smurfs beat him over and over causing him to be lower ranked and playing against people who don't know what they are doing. Thus he isn't getting "real" practice. If there were no smurfs then his rank would be a true rank, at least in his eyes.
I feel bad for Farto, he's just so Garbo despite all his efforts. It is what it is, at least he's entertaining.

Nah, people on Korea ladder do know about artosis. And they know about his high levels of salt. And they know he is a huge english personality for starcraft. It is definitely possible there are people that snipe him just to get some salt mining going.
