    FYI- I have a 1979 172N with the airplanes 180 conversion. It does have the V speeds listed in the STC.

    Hi Seth, I recently purchased your product, I’m in love with your podcast and all the information. I appreciate the valuable content on your RUclips videos podcast. I just passed my FAA private pilot knowledge with 88%, I missed a couple questions and I got all the codes all the answers that I got incorrect. Is there anyway I can search for those codes with the A.C.E GUIDE?

      I just sent you an email. Right now there isn't a good search function in the guide. However, it's very easy to navigate to a section of the ACS and find the specific item you missed. In most every case there is a link to another document that provides expanded information about that topic.

    I have over 1000+ hours and am a CFI. I always file flight VFR plans and do flight following. Don't need to, but I want to stay fresh (and safe), and it's fun to estimate and see how accurate I am in my computations.. I also compute climb and descent rates, times, ETE, etc... among alot of other things. ... rather than just get in and fly.... Keeps me fresh for my BFRs too.

      Isn’t it illegal to “just get in and fly”? At a minimum you need a weight and balance, but without any plan I’d think a ramp check wouldn’t end well.

      @@jamesh7876 Good question. For example It's not illegal to "get in and fly" VFR to an airport 100 miles away, without a flight plan or flight following. Not advisable but not illegal.

    That last statement about building hours. Just put in the extra work and build hours, be sure you pass. That’s the most important thing I’ve heard

    • @SethLakeDPE
      @SethLakeDPE  Месяц назад

      Yes, if you need more hours then get more hours. Don't think you have to do the checkirde just because you have the minimums.

    45:10 re: SLSA with a G3X. I read the question as "it came with the G3X", not "I changed to the G3X". Basically the SLSA should have an equipment list, if they want to install new avionics (or _anything_), it takes manufacturer approval. I'm really glossing over it, but ask the SportCruiser owners what it's like when the manufacturer doesn't have interest and they are stuck with old avionics :(
    It's a niche little world.

    Hi Seth, could I use the ACE guide as a primary study tool to study for my CPL? Just got instrument rated and am continuing all the way to CFI/II. Thanks.

      I think the ACE guide would really help you study. That's why I created it. It will help you cross reference all the content in the ACS with the source data.
