Old timers hate on Volvos for being dull fleet trucks with no soul, which I partially agree with. But, if there’s one thing Volvo unquestionably hits out of the park, it’s the sleeper. Incredible use of space!

Nice truck and cool setup. The bed above is as good solution for more living space Volvos solidity and comfort is unquestionable. For sure modern trucks has a very tiny soul and personality. But the VNL is total 🔝 on comfort.
It's a shame that savings were made in the wrong place. Where are the external cameras on the right and left that are controlled via monitors? Where is the navigation system and the entertainment display? That would have made work much easier, something no other truck brand can offer. Best greetings from switzerland

@@Thunderstrucktrans believe me I know I drive one this company has nothing but Volvo since 2000. And I've been here for 13 years. We went automatic about 5 years ago. This the first one though that I just got last year with the push button trans. Took some getting used to I'm an old owner operator big long Hood big ride in front of me but I don't miss the kidney crunching and crawling through the back to get to the bunk.

Both of you have absolutely fantastic setups. I was already leaning toward the Volvo because I don’t think I would like the angled bench in the Cascadia, but your videos have made up my mind! You both did awesome with your space! I love it.

Sorry so late in responding, just learned how to check replies from older videos but no.... I have a fan up there. I saw a video of another team cpl that made a Murphy bed in there 860. Pretty cool. I don't know why Volvo doesn't do that. Check out my latest video, "a day in the life of a trucker" and I show how I make my bottom bed extremely comfortable and still able to use table with a nice bed roll.
@Nutt-N-But Thank you for the info! I think I like the layout and comfort of the Volvo over the Freightliner. It suits my needs and wants a little better. I've had both over the years. Each have their advantages and disadvantages. I enjoy your videos. I'm now thinking of buying a drone because of them. I just have to justify buying a drone to my wife. Well, thanks for asking. I have been driving for over 40 years. I don't really like it that much anymore as I'm missing out on my family. However, I love the job, and I'm also 59 years old now and ready for a change. But it has always given my family and me everything we've needed and has given me a pretty good life.
Any company worth anything should provide exclusive restrooms for truck drivers only. It is inhumane and is uncivilized to not provide truckers with a place to relieve themselves. I would love for there to be Federal Laws that make restrooms for truckers at warehouses and such--be mandatory due to public health concerns. States have health code laws for restaurants to always have to provide restrooms to their customers; therefore, legislation of this type is common and should be extended to truck drivers too. End this callous, cruel, mean, and disrespectful bullshit! All human beings have bodily functions and we are not India where it became such a nasty public health concern that their government had to start placing billboards everywhere with public health safety announcements that demanded that citizens stop urinating and defecating in public on sidewalks and behind bushes everywhere. Stop this insanity! Provide toilets to truckers!
If you haven't heard the government has actually within the last month or two made it mandatory for companies to provide restrooms for the truck drivers so that has happened.
