Written and produced by Holland/Dozier/Holland and Ron Dunbar this great song reached No. 3 in both the Billboard and UK charts. With HDH now at the helm of their own Invictus label it was good to see them still use their favourite "Funk Brothers" session players, including Dennis Coffey, Eddie Willis, Pistol Allen and the great Bob Babbit on bass, on this track. Reinforced with drums and violins.

WOW! Really stripped back and re-instrumented. I like it! Female bv’s on all their Invictus recordings were done by Joyce Vincent (of Tony Orlando & Dawn) and Scherrie Payne (Supremes). General Johnson & Danny Woods - two great lead singers - both sadly no longer with us.
