Asalaamu alaykum sister Aminah. I have watched your 3 videos about Gambia and really appreciate you taking the time out to share information. I was surprised when I saw in one of your videos that you walked up to a big group of people who was your family and friends, MashaAllah! I think making hijrah can be really difficult when there is no family who is there with us. We don't realize how important our support systems are. I am living in Turkey right now and I miss being able to go to my parents house and have them interact with my 6 children. Can you talk more about support systems and how you were able to establish that in the Gambia? Also, how long did you plan before moving? Is it suitable for single sisters/mothers? Are their opportunities for children and adults to study Arabic/Quran/Islamic studies in person? I've been in Turkey almost 8 months and it's very excellent here Allhamdulillah. The biggest challenges is not being around my black people, not having family here, and not knowing the language (yet inshaAllah). Jazallah khairun

The food is safe ive been living in the Gambia for a year now and its safe just dont drink the tap water it does mess with your stomach if your not used to it
It's not a matter of the food being safe or not. It's usually the body's reaction to the dramatic change in different types of diet. This happens everwhere in the world. There is a variety of fruits over there that your gut may never have stomached before. Same goes to the many cuisines. So there may be a short transition of 'Nutritional Adaptation', if I may.

Hows the marriages n courting process in Gambia?
I don't have this answer, I'm sorry. Are you asking about court house marraige?
@@summersinafrica No I'm talking about courting in relationships.
Greetings, sister. Thanx for the video. I'm sure prices are different now, but I am just now seeing this video. You listed shipping cost for a large container. Can you please share which company you used? I need to get an estimate. Thanx in advance.
You are so beautiful your baby is so ADORABLE and cute what about school is ok church..
I appreciate this, thank you!! My children are homeschooled. I haven't experienced the traditional schools here yet. I also don't know about church, I'm sorry.
Hi interesting video.l am planning to come to gambia.my husband is from there.l am an Ayurvedic therapist.do you think l could relocate my business there?🙏🏻🙏🏿
Absolutely, yes! Gambia is so easy to start up business. There are also many people here outside of local residents that would love this service. I met an American yesterday that opened a wellness business here. She's also a licensed therapist. I can't wait to go support her business 😍. You can do it!
@@summersinafrica l would start a partnership with someone.now l am still in Italy but soon l will be in gambia.now l am spa manager in a hotel.plus l do ayurveda treatments.l am able also to teach hata yoga.years ago l went to Kerala -india for learning n improving my knowledge about ayurveda.it was a great experience.

As salaamu alaikum, sister. We are planning to move to The Gambia, insha'allah, this fall. I'd LOVE to connect with your husband and get my wife to be in contact with you. Is there any way our families could connect?
I am brother Ahmad Abdur-Rahim
Walaykumsalam warahmatullah, it would be my pleasure to connect with your wife. Inshallah when it's closer to time for you to move she can send me a message on here and we'll swap contacts. Jazakallahukhair
My husband...Inshallah I hope so. He is a bit on the anit-social side haha!
@@summersinafrica were you all able to connect?
I'm part of the family 👪
Yes you are!!! Welcome to the family 😂😂❤
You only buy land when you set your foot on the soil and when you get there make sure you are fully involved in the process by going to the offices and signing the paperwork. Not everyone you meet is gambian people from the sub region lives there ,people of different faith and not every gambian is honest like it doesn't exist anywhere in the world.
Asalamuilakum waRahmatullahi waBarakatu sis. I do have a few questions.
1. How can I connect with you for health and wellness. I have a few pounds I want to shed in a healthy way. May Allah grant me success, Aameen.
2. Can you tell me about employment for teachers? Years of experience needed, qualifications or salaries? If not, are you able to connect me with someone who knows?
For work, I would like to teach at an international school (grades 6-12) that follows the Quran and sunnah and would make it easier for me and my school-aged family members to acquire knowledge and interact with their peers in an halal manner.
May Allah bless you for your reply and continued sharing of knowledge, Aameen 🤲🏾
Walaykumsalam warahmatullahi wabarakatu, I actually want to respond to this question for you privately. Please send me your email address to aminahsummers@gmail.com thank you sister ❤
