There are definite pros and cons to living in a gated community. A few cons would be that you don’t own the land and have to live by community guidelines. Personally, I love the freedom of landownership. With that said, you definitely need trustworthy community and builders, etc. once it’s all said and done, it’s yours! In a gated community there maybe a level of protection but I’ll never feel as if I own the home completely. It’s all about perspective. There is power however in land ownership!

Most people live in gated communities, obviously for safety reasons and for protection also away from criminals which makes so much sense to me.

The fact that it is in the country side, I did not know that. Alhamdulillah good job. I was looking in terms of an investment which I still have to think about. Having previously lived in Liberia for 7 years I get it about getting to know the local people. Ok sis, next I will begin to bug you about living elsewhere, not in a gated community. What areas would be the best option for living with the local population and rental costs. With some many African Americans/ Afro British there, where are the places where most of them live?
