My favorite story of Yrvind was his sailing the Atlantic in his small boat Amfibie Bris from France to Newfoundland, getting there and preparing to go back when the Canadians confiscated his boat claiming it was too small to handle the Atlantic, and his subsequent stealing of his boat back from the authorities, putting it on a U-haul truck and driving to the US to sail from there. Brilliant.

If I were them I'd spend a little less on hugely expensive new boats and send some to Sven, and let him decide if he wants it. As i said, they all started with the intention to live an life ,free, sailing, lets say a life most sailors amongst us want to live.
      One problem,such a life cost,no matter what you do:money.
      You can,as i ,bought a boat,work,after work restore it,work again,etc.
Problem: when you have to work, you have 4 weeks vacation....clearly not enough to sail around the world.
      Now these days: the internet!!!
So they started an you tube channel to comment theyr journey, and along the way, money became a problem( motor broke down, mast fel off,or just like mr delos did,he was thurstey ,and ask on his channel: buy us a beer!
So if 10000 people gave 1 euro via patreon, indeed he was no thurstye for a long time......
What i ment is,where stops the help, and where start the moneymaking......
Sailing uma......merchandising,,,,,,?,?its that far that some off these channels are edited by proff.filmmakers, believe me.
They have well thought bussinesmodel, and some off them are lifestylechannels, but on the other hand ,they dont harm anybody,if 50000 guys al over the world wants to give 10 euro, every month......well you have your things right,?,

Sven Yrvind is my hero too!
We are both from Gothenburg, West Coast of Sweden. But he is 30 years older and inspired me a lot when i was young. The only books I read then was his books, but his name was S Lundin back then and I still have them all.
At last, HE´S JUST FINISHED HIS NEW BUILD AS OF MARCH 2023.

I remember reading about Sven from the late seventies and eighties when he was sailing with a very attractive young woman. Sven always seemed just s interesting as his boats. I hope he gets to build another. Setting off on another voyage at 82 is remarkable. 😎👍
